Ha! Fat chance of doing that.

Just go to Ottawa. No worries about being stripped of anything there no matter what you say..

While in general, I'm not, since it's a lost metal for Canada, and we lose the ability to gloat about being the best at hockey in the world but...

Can't agree more. I liked the idea in 1998, but as soon as the pros didn't make it seem like a chance of a lifetime to play there, and instead made it seem like another job to take care of (which, granted, they couldn't with the pressure the media was placing on them, but i digress). The Olympics are for the people who don't get publicity for 206 weeks out of 208 in the 4 years between the Olympics, not for those that probably get less publicity in those 2 weeks than they do in the other 206. I'd love to see an CHL team sent to play for the metal again instead of these "All-Star Teams" (Right now I'm calling them the "All-Shit Team"). The kids are who we're suppose to be giving this chance to, not these guys that are not playing for the love of the game anymore.
The best thing was that the men's hockey didn't start til day 6, I think, cause it meant for 5 days, I had the other sports to watch, and even better for our Olympians, we were actually winning metals, so I've been watching, and will continue to watch, anything that involves Canadians, and even some events that don't. These are the people that spend all year of every year preparing for this stage, unlike those NHLers who just come together on those 2 weeks they need to.
Anyway, that's my rant.
