Indeed. I'd give up everything I owned (and some stuff I didn't) to have been that cake.

Amy Acker is going to guest on an upcoming episode. I like to think she and Aly will find time to talk about the experience of playing smart, beautiful women who are destroyed by writers who don't know what else to do with them.

Alexis Denisof is going to be on too, in the season finale. No offense to Acker, I'm actually looking forward more to that-I liked him on Angel, and I've kind of missed him on TV.

Thanks for that!! I'll keep an eye on that time slot.
The L word is on around midnight on Wednesdays. Although I don't know if it's the new episodes or reruns.

Gah! It's not on this week! Instead, we're getting some stupid show from a Seinfeld cast person, which will no doubt be cancelled in about three weeks.

Damnit, I need my Aly fix! :angry

Just saw an episode of HIMYM for the frist time in ages this evening.
The lifestyle of a weekly sitcom clearly agrees with Aly as she is radiant in every scene she's in which, I'm happy to see, are more frequent than when the show began.
Her smile just beams and she has that ebullience of the first couple seasons of BTVS.
Yay for her.

Aly sang on last night's episode?!?!?!?! Yet she wouldn't sing on BTVS...these people must be paying her a boat-load of money!

They must have. Then again, she also sang in "Date Movie"...which isn't exactly a great example...

I'm also hooked on HIMYM. I do love Aly's character but really the whole dynamic of the group is great.

As for Robin's character (Cobie Smulders) possibly leaning towards the female side of the fence, I did get the feeling somewhat but I was afraid I was just having some residual effects of seeing her in the L Word... and possibly wishful thinking :)

Maybe after she realized how much they can fix in studio she's not so nervous about it anymore.

Well, we in the back of beyonds will finally get to see what all the fuss/ lack thereof is about soon, when HIMYM arrives on our brand new channel.

I'd like to take a moment now to appreciate the arrival of Ireland's newest TV station, Channel 6. It may be the 5th to arrive (it's Irish logic that the 3rd to arrive is called TG4, the 4th is TV3 and the 5th is C6) but I'll be doing my best to make sure it stays.

Besides HIMYM it has daily (as in 7 days a week) Buffy and much more. So I'll forgive the daily Dawson's Creek.

Honestly, I don't work for Channel 6.

Btw, for UK viewers, I think the beeb are getting it this year.

I believe the next new episode is scheduled for this coming Monday (4/10).

I should be a good one since it is supposed to feature an appearance by none other than Alexis Denisof. :party

Heh: I hadn't read this thread in awhile, so was completely surprised by a (brief) appearance of Aly's hubby! (As a news anchor, w/ stereotypical male news anchor "helmet hair" :lol) It's funny: nevermind what his birth certificate says, I *still* think that Alexis sounds more real as a Brit, than as a Yank! :rolleyes

Well, we all knew that Ted and Victoria were doomed: funny way to send her character out, though (letting the vol-up-tu-ous Ashley Williams make one last appearance, as Ted's Psyche :grin)

GG To any Xena fans out there: recognize "Korean Elvis"? I do believe he was the same guy who played "Genghis Khan" in (those awful) S5 eps... Out

Question: if you were hot-hot-HOT for somebody, would you be seriously put off, by the object-of-your-affection/lust telling you they had broken up w/ their current, when they technically yet hadn't? (Or is it just that *my* morals are off? :wink)

Does anyone know where I can watch the episode that aired tonite? Or do I have to wait for a rerun? I missed it because I was at school until 10 o'clock and I forgot to set my VCR. Thanks.

I'd have to agree. Like Lucy Lawless he just sounds so wrong when he uses his own accent.

I recently saw a very funny outtake from the episode of Alexis's show that Aly appeared on. It looked like they have a really good time working together.

Unfortunately HIMYM has yet to arrive in the UK. I know we're meant to get it sometime this year but there's no sign of it yet.

Just watched HIMYM's episode with Alexis via that weblink, and thanks for that, have to agree about the accent ,though.
It does take getting used to when you are so familiar with an actor using a character's voice and then you hear them using their real voice and you think "They shouldn't sound like that."
Sad I know but that's the way I was the first time I heard James Marsters speak.

THE CAST OF "HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER" GOES BEHIND THE CAMERAS FOR AN INSIDE LOOK INTO THE MAKING OF THE HIT SERIES

Never Before Seen Footage to Be Featured on CBS.com for One Week Beginning Monday, April 24

If you ever wanted to find out what goes into the making of a comedy series, now is your chance. Each day during the week of April 24, a different cast member of the hit CBS comedy HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER will go behind the scenes to offer viewers an inside look at what it really takes to produce a 30 minute sitcom. These never before seen segments will be available exclusively on CBS.com.

Beginning Monday April 24, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER stars Neil Patrick Harris, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor and Jason Segel will take viewers backstage with an exclusive tour of the set, a first hand look at the weekly table read, cast rehearsal loaded with bloopers, camera blocking and the filming of the show. CBS.com will also offer interviews with crew members including the writers and director, as well as humorous and candid moments with the actors, including costume changes and hair/make-up. The week-long CBS.com series will also include music from the band The88, who will be performing on the show.

The special behind-the-scenes look was documented during the filming of the HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER episode “Best Prom Ever” and will lead up to that episode airing on Monday, May 1 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network.

In the episode, Lily and Marshall need the gang's help when their wedding is moved up and now only two months away. Duties are divided -- Lily, Robin and Barney crash a high school prom to check out a potential band, while Ted and Marshall stuff wedding invitations on what was intended to be a boy's night out on the town. While at the prom, Lily remembers all of the things she wanted to do after graduation and how many plans were derailed due to her relationship with Marshall. Pamela Fryman directed the episode written by Ira Ungerleider.

The above press release was issued by the aforementioned network and/or company. Any errors, typos, etc. are attributed to the original author. The release is reproduced solely for the dissemination of the enclosed information.
