***Spoiler Alert!!***

From E! Online (via OhNoTheyDidn't):

"Just heard that Kristin Cavalleri of 'Laguna Beach' will be guest starring on Veronica Mars.
She will be playing a closeted lesbian cheerleader who turns to Veronica when a blackmailer threatens to out her and a number of other gay students at Neptune High.

The episode tapes next week and will air in February.

I don't know Cavalleri or Laguna Beach, but this sounds extremely promising...

Living in the UK are showing it from the beginning, starting tonight. Pilot is on at 6.05 pm

I've not seen any of them, but I've heard how good people think the show is, so I'm glad I can start watching it right from the beginning. :)

I am so glad we are getting new eps now.

Veronica fools the Sheriff and the FBI! She is unstoppable.

I am glad she is able to keep her promise to Meg.

Once again, I am glad Wallace is back in the game.

Next week's ep seems to be Wallace centered.

I enjoyed this ep a lot too and was glad to see RT directed it , for the first time maybe? I watched it twice to catch all the nuances and to try to figure out the one plot point that still confuses me. (Was Celeste in on the plan, or did she get double-crossed by the other private eye? Still not sure.) Anyway, loved a lot of little touches in this including Backup licking VM's face when she was pretending to be depressed and her choice of music in that scene. Also really liked the subplot with Weevil and Logan and how they work together. The acting was really strong this week, VM's father got a couple of great scenes, and I even thought Duncan was pretty good this time. Still glad to see him gone though. Would have liked to see Mac, of course, but I can understand why VM wouldn't want to get her involved in this one. And nice to see Lucy Lawless, she fit in well. I'm so glad Wallace is back, and no sign of the girlfriend that I can't stand. Let's hope that the show does well enough for the new network to bring it back for a third year, despite the fact that it was a featured show at the merger announcment there is no confirmation of a renewal yet.

I just finished watching last Wednesday's episode. Lucy Lawless was really great and funny, I loved all her scenes. I liked this episode and everyone's acting was great. I wasn't expecting the ending, at all. I'm still confused about some things, though. Like Seurat said, "Was Celeste in on plan" or not? And why was Astrid involved? Didn't Celeste offer to pay her way through college? I don't think Duncan could've offered her more money than his mother, considering he didn't have access to his trust fund yet, and it was never mentioned that they were friends. So, it seems odd to me that she'd jepordize her future like that. And was Vinnie Vanlow playing both sides?

Seurat said:

I don't think she was pretending. I believe she was genuienly depressed because she knew that very soon Duncan was going to be out of her life.

Anyways, good episode. Looking foward to tonite's.

A good ep this week I thought, and I was impressed that although RT didn't write the script the dialogue was still sharp and the continuity was really good. Loved that VM used the deputy/bouncer to help her out, and that they showed the same poor guy at the karoake bar getting outclassed again. (By the singer from Spoon this time I believe.) It's going to be interesting to see what this means for Weevil in the future, see if he starts working openly with Logan or even with Veronica. I could have lived without seeing Jackie being all sympathetic, but glad to see Wallace didn't buy it and is going out with that other girl. And the bus mystery is moving right along. All the ep needed was a couple of apperances by Mac. Maybe next week.

I loved the ep as well. I am glad to see a Wallace-centered ep.

Jackie regains a couple of cool points with me this ep even though I still don't quite trust her.

The sheriff seems to be trying to investigate the bus crash more thoroughly. We'll see where this goes.

Poor Weevil. What is he going to do now? I have a feeling the PCHers will be begging for him to come back before season's end. The Fitzpatricks sound like really bad news.

I look forward to the rest of the Feb sweeps.

Veronica puts the racist teacher in her place. I hope the teacher gets what is coming to her.

Jackie has been taken down a peg or two. I sort of feel sorry for her while she is in the dunking booth. As always, Wallace comes through for her even after the way she treats him. I don't think her father has anything to do with the bus crash though.

I had a feeling Mac and Beaver would end up together.

What is Logan up to?

Apparently I am a toss up between Lilly and Wallace, I had to answer a tie break question. I prefer the winning result:

You scored as Lilly Kane.

You were once the most popular girl in school, but now you are six feet under. You come back in random blue-tinted flashbacks and scare the bejezzus out of a lot of people when you do.

Episodes delayed

Postby willowlove » Wed Feb 15, 2006 12:26 pm

The new episodes scheduled for tonight and the next two weeks have been delayed to March. From TV Guide Online:

Question: Can you give me any new Veronica Mars stuff? — Rebecca

Ausiello: OK, but it's a bummer. As you have probably already heard, UPN has decided to delay the show's three remaining sweeps episodes — including the big Feb. 22 outing starring me — until March. Totally sucks, I know. But I actually understand the network's logic here. Veronica has been getting pummeled in the Nielsens as a result of its DOA lead-in, South Beach. We're talking lowest ratings ever. So it makes perfect sense that UPN would want to hold these originals until March, when powerhouse lead-in America's Next Top Model returns to the sked. It also should allay any concerns that Dawn Ostroff isn't 100 percent committed to making this show a success. Clearly, she wants as many people to see Veronica as possible, and for that I love her.

And this week's episode featured Mac and some lesbians, too - although not at the same time.

I enjoyed this ep, but I wouldn't rate it as one of my all-time favorites. I thought the mystery of the week with the blackmailing and the chatroom was underdeveloped and a little confusing. And it didn't help that the girl playing the cheerleader can't act at all. Not even a little bit. Liked the continuity though of the repeated characters, the pizza guys and the guy who supposedly had his rims stolen. And as usual even the secondary characters are layered, not all good and not really bad either.

Loved Mac's one scene and her reaction to VM'S I'm just curious line was priceless. Also kind of liked Dick in this one, which is a first for me. They did give him a great line, the rich-dude kryptonite one. VM'S Dad was amazing again, and I loved him in the casino. Backup got to be all heroic, and Jackie wasn't annoying. Lamb had a good little scene too, so they did spread things out pretty well. Was Wallace in there though? Don't remember seeing him. Anway, 8 more weeks in a row, hopefully lots more Mac and I think Alyson is back at least once too, am I right?

Jackie and Veronica seem to be getting along. Though i wonder how things will be between them if Terrence is the one who caused the bus crash.

It is always great to see Mac.

Logan is still an ass. What is he up to? Does he even have a soul? He seems to be using Hannah.

The bus crash mystery has me completely baffled. I don't know who caused it. I have a feeling fans will be pleasantly surprised again.

Veronica's on the move--again. From Zap2it:

New Orbit for 'Veronica Mars'
Show moves to Tuesdays, away from 'Idol'
March 23 2006

LOS ANGELES -- UPN is sending "Veronica Mars" back to her old home for the remainder of the season, which may be both good and bad news for the series.

Starting next week, "Veronica" will air at 9 p.m. ET Tuesdays -- the same timeslot it held last season. Repeats are scheduled to air on Wednesdays for at least the next two weeks; plans for after that "will be announced shortly," the network says.

With the move, "Veronica Mars" will lose its strong lead-in, "America's Next Top Model," which helped boost the critically loved high-school noir's ratings in the fall. "Veronica's" ratings have suffered in recent airings, however, partly due to the absence of "Top Model" and partly due to the return of "American Idol." For the season, it's averaging about 2.4 million viewers per week, just about even with its numbers this time last year.

Moving the show to Tuesdays does get it out of "Idol's" path, as well as that of ABC's "Lost" and CBS' "Criminal Minds." It will, however, have to go up against FOX's "House" and CBS' emerging hit "The Unit."

What the change means for "Veronica's" chances to make the jump to The CW next season remains to be seen. UPN President Dawn Ostroff, who will run the new network, is a fan of the show. Still, its marginal ratings make a pickup for The CW, which will feature programs from both UPN and The WB, less than certain.

I enjoyed these last couple of ep's, almost up to the quality of the best of the first season. What's lacking I guess is that the big mystery is just not as compelling as last year's murder of Lilly. I loved a lot of things abouit this last ep in particular, the scenes with Cliff were hilarious, and I loved the way they ganged up on Lamb - the campaign poster was genius. Also liked the mystery this week and the way they tied it in with VM's college visit. Great to see Wallace and VM working together too, I missed that.

I started to like Hannah so I'm going to miss her, but it's hard to see where else they could have gone with her other than having her turn into a victim of the Logan'Fitzpatrick conflict and I didn't want to see that anyway. Maybe they can bring her back sometime, she did soften Logan a bit which I enjoyed because he sometimes comes across as just too bitter a character. I was also glad to hear Trina mentioned last week, still not sure if she is supposed to appear again this season. No Mac, which is always sad, but on the whole I'm pretty happy with the show right now. Hopefully it will do a little better on Tuesdays and we'll get a third season of VM and Wallace (and Mac?) attending Hearst.

I enjoyed this week's ep as well.

I love the way Veronica throws the beer in that jerk's face and then turns around a uses the taser on him.

I didn't like Hannah. She was such a ditz falling for Logan's mess. Logan is such a jerk, and I don't see how anyone could possibly like him at all.

Always good to see Wallace. He gives Veronica the balance she needs.

This ep is kind of ironic because there are some Duke University lacrosse players being accused of rape here in NC. I hope these idiots are captured.

The tossing of the beer was hilarious! Veronica was back to being witty again. She'd be down a bit the last couple weeks. Yeah, Hannah isn't overly smart falling for Logan. I was so glad to see Wallace back again. I miss him.

Yeah, Veronica has been a little down ever since the departure of Duncan. She seems her old self lately.

Tonight's ep is a rollercoaster ride.

I feel so bad for Mac in this ep. She feels so rejected by Beaver. I blame his brother for being such a jerk to him.

Jackie is starting grow on me. She is honestly trying to change. She turns down Wallace even though she really has it bad for him.

Weevil. I have mixed feelings about him. He sets Thumper up, but it's the Fitzpatricks who kill him. What a way to go. :spin. There may not be much evidence either(You will know what I am talking about when the ep is seen).

I didn't get a chance to see this ep until the weekend, and I really liked it. Not least of course because it had a lot of Mac in it, and I adore Mac. Too bad Beaver treated her like that, I;m still not clear on what happened there, I doubt it really had much to do with Dick. I feel bad for Jane since I like her far more than Jackie but as least Wallace was honest with her. Thumper I can't muster any sympathy for at all, sorry. Shame about the bike though. (Kidding. Well, mostly.)

VM herself was terrific as always, and yeah she does seem to be getting her old zip back. And Logan seems to have gotten over any feeling he had for Hannah pretty quick. As for the main mystery, I still have no idea where they are going with it but I'm confident that we will get some answers soon. Hope the show does well on Tuesday.

Wow. Tonight's ep is Tortuous. I am glad we got to see more of Meg even if it is her spirit.

There are several more suspects revealed(Dick Casablancas, Woody Goodman and Weevil). I honestly don't know who it is.

I am not too sure about Wallace and Logan being buddies. I really hope Veronica and Logan do not end up together. He is not going to change. Veronica tried that already.

Is it just me, or am I the only one who finds this season's mystery to be really confusing?

I dunno, last season's mystery was plenty suspenseful, but I felt that I could get a better "handle" on it, if you know what I'm saying. This Season I just feel so lost....

This seasons mystery is very confusing to me. I have a guess at how it could be but I'm sure it's wrong. Part of the extra confusion could be last seasons answer was nothing close to what I thought. Now I am not expecting to be even close until they scroll the answer in bold letters across the bottom of the screen.
