I'm hoping it wasn't anything too serious that you needed to file a police report.

Me too, Tarafied4Life.

Random: I really like the phrase "get out of my grille" or "back up offa my grille" or whatever it is. I've been saying it regularly, probably incorrectly.

What exactly are you trying to say there, Sally? :lol something like get out of my face? 'cos grill means teeth... If that is what you're trying to say you might want to go with : back up outta my mug...and then you could add a "Mammy Jammy" for good measure...

Ebonics 101: So the whole thing would look like this. "back up outta my mug, mammy jammy!"

It's been great so far. I spoke too soon about the ducks though..'cos it started to rain. We went out to lunch, and now she's watching a video. :pinky Thanks for asking, Barb!

"grill" has meant face in every slang term i've ever heard. and i've heard sally's phrase many times to indeed mean "get out of my face." it's like the grill of a car, the front end, you know?

example: "damn, she's got a fine body but her grill is busted!"

i love ghetto slang. i used the phrase "you better check yo'self before you wreck yo'self", at work today.

I've lived in three very different parts of the country and that phrased has been used that way in all of them by people of ALL races (i stand by my previous use of the word "ghetto" for the record). Don't any of you watch Jerry Springer?

"effect" and "affect"

I never get those right - always seems like it should be "effect".

I think I over did it with PT today. I went early this morning and they told me to walk for at least 1/4 mile this afternoon. My foot is killing me and I'm trying really hard not to take any pain meds. I haven't really taken them since I had the surgery on February 15. I just can't get comfortable tonight.

I know but I hate pain meds cause I get even more wonky than I normally am. I take the brace off at night to sleep and I prop it up on my Squish pillow which is where it is now. I'll try some Aleve and hope that works.

If you can get me a new foot, I'd be your best friend for life. Unfortunately, this was my second surgery on my achilles tendon in 13 months. This time I screwed it up by slipping down the stairs because of the ice almost 2 months ago.
I'm going to bed now and hopefully, I'll be able to sleep. And there better not be any obnoxious noises outside my apartment in the morning cause I'm so not going to PT tomorrow and I'd like to sleep in.
Night All!!!
