Depends on where about you joined us. I assume it was when were already at EZboard. You can just go back to the old board and check your profile there and see what your join date is. Of course this is of no use if you had a global account that you created long before you joined the kitten, but if you created your ezboard username to post on the kitten you will know when you joined the board. If you tell me your old username I could check it for you.

Edit: your username to be Spikeismine87 right? If so this is what your profile says:

Hi Mods,

AntigoneUnbound (Mary) is unable to log in -- she seems to have been locked out.

Would it be possible to reset her password and send her the new link so she can click and reactivate her account? Since she cannot access PM please send to the email she used when she registered. It isn't on display so I don't want to put this in the post.

Thanks!

This is probably a really stupid question. I tried to send a couple of PMs yesterday and they're now in my Outbox not my Sentbox. Does that mean they've not been read yet and only move to the Sentbox once they've been read? If not, how do I send them?

You've got it. They only move to the Sentbox after they've been read.

I am having trouble getting into the chat room. For about the last week, everytime I try to connect it says that it can't find a route to the host or something like that... I think it may be something wrong with my computer but it may be something else entirely.

Please could a kind mod move Kitten Race to the Completed Archives? Many thanks!

p.s. would you consider a starting a thread for this purpose? Sort of like an update thread, only for the authors to update that a fic is finished?

We don't usually move a fic to the completed archive til after it's been finished and on Pens for a few months. I don't think a new thread is necessary. You all can ask here or in the Pens issues thread, and if that gets overlooked somehow, you can just email a mod and ask them there.

I moved your fic, by the way. Thanks for providing a link to it. That always makes it easier. :)

Hey!

I hope this is the right place.

I startet rereading "pathes" from Just Skip It in the "completet fics" section and it seems, that from page two all posts are wacky.

Is there a way to fix this?

They are not there....

It only says

from page two to the end.

Page one is fine...

Ahh, okay, you're still looking at ezboard. That's why we left there, they suck. Those posts are gone for good. I was looking at this, viewtopic.php?t=1004 which I believe is the same story.

If not, I need a more detailed title, or preferably a link.

Hope that helped.

Ah cool!

Then there's another problem, because when I go to the "completed fics", on the "index" and then on the link of the story I'm routed to ezboard. I think the links in the "index" are not up to date.

Because I'm not visiting the old board since we moved here (on purpose at least).

So anyway, thanks for the link *g*

Oh, yeah, those indexes are old. We got really lazy and haven't updated them since the move. So, if you know the author or name of the story you want to read, you're better off using the search function. That works well on this site.

Hey Mods,

I was thinking about starting a thread on the Magic in Two board for W/T avatars I've made. I know there's the Avatar Makers thread, but I was thinking about something that I could update occasionally, and get feedback, like a wallpaper thread. Folks would be free to use the avatars; I could even put a link to the it in the Avatar Makers thread.

Would this be okay?

Trouble posting in Pens

Postby Alcy » Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:30 pm

Is anyone else having Trouble posting in Pens? I've been trying to post my new fic both from my home comp and now from work and it keeps coming backed saying 'zero-sized-reply' or whatever that it.

Is this a problem from my end or is the Board having problems?

cheers

This usually happens to me when I post a chapter of "Star Witches". It almost always goes up, though.

When I finally transferred over and re-registared, I was able to use my old screen name, but not my old email address (that is associatedwith my screen name). When I tried to use my email addy (ladycallistar@yahoo.com) it tells me that that address belongs to another user....... but I don't know how that could be, because I still use that address as my online persona. So I registared with a different address.

Anyway- I can change it from what it is now to ladycallistar@yahoo.com?

Much thanks!

Re: New/old thread question

Postby Nothingman » Wed Apr 05, 2006 3:13 pm

Hi Mods-

Ok, so I have a question.
Many moons ago when the board was on the ezboard site I posted a thread for my artwork (drawings)...then I was away for a very long time..and now I am back. I have found my old thread but of course it says guest etc and the last actual post I did was back in 03 I believe. I would like to post some newer art and I guess my question is, is there anyway I can edit the old thread etc or delete the old stuff and move the artwork etc into a new/newer one?...if not I guess I will just reply post
Anyhoo...thanks for your help :)

Lady Callie, you should be good to go. I put in the new email for you.

Nothingman, xita can transfer the "ownership" of the thread to your name. You'll be able to edit the first post then. This is the thread you mean, yeah? viewtopic.php?t=1638

Though if you just want to repost the links into a new thread. we can remove the old thread for you, too.

OK, something screwy is going on here. I just spent the past three hours trying to log onto the board, but I couldn't from the usual address (http://www.thekittenboard.com/board). So I go to the main page, try from the Different Colored Pens link there, and suddenly its all working again as if nothing happened.

What's going on here? :wtf

Same is happening to just about everyone, I believe. Can go directly to the various forums, but not to the main index page. Been like that all day long.

Here's hoping there is a mod around to notice it sometime soon and look into it.
