I've been with Charmed since the start, mostly because the roommate liked it. I thought the first two seasons were rough and every bit the Buffy lite that everyone said in the most negative sense. But, around the time Juliam McMahon was introduced as Cole things really picked up for me. And while Susan Doherty didn't suck for me, Rose McGowan did such a great job I far preferred her. But Cole left and the show wandered a bit after that. I also really liked Piper and Leo, that was a good couple and storyline.

Thanks Bob for posting what some of the problems with this season have been. I also hate the Billie character and wish they wouldn't have introduced her. It seems like the Charmed Ones are less center stage and she's become too important. I also don't think the actress is good at all and is just there for the younger and hotter factor. Given all that, and because I lost interest earlier this season, I won't be sad to see Charmed go away. Maybe like Buffy, they should have just ended at the perfect season finale and let things lie, going out at the top rather than struggling along for one more season. As they say, timing is everything.

I been watching charmed since the begining too, actaully me and my brother would have fights over what show was better charmed or buffy but of course i didnt watch buffy at the time but now its like buffy is way better, but i still love charmed expect this season is like umm what is happening i think the hsow isnt about the three sister anymore its all about billie and i liked her at first when she was just another witch but now they make this whole big deal about her and her sister which just made me all blah whatever...I loved the season ending for 7 it was the perfected end for charmed!

Also i did like shannon on the show she was a good character, but killing her off made the show more real like cause death is unexpected and them bringing in Rose who is very awesome on the show.. But i loved it when it was just the three of them and the whole sister bonding thing i loved that, but i just cant see it in this season it kindof got me going "huh? what just happen" i hardly pay attention cause it seems it just going to not a great season.. but anyway thats just my Opinion.

So did anyone else notice that the two demons out for revenge in last night's episode were called "Noxons?" :lol

Wow, no comment on the series finale of Charmed? Well I have some thoughts and impressions.

First off, I started off not liking Charmed much, but around the time Cole showed up and then Paige was introduced I thought the show improved quite remarkably in terms of writing and the cast dynamics. It fell off later, and this season has bitten pretty hard, I didn't like Billi, thought some of the explanations for how they tranistioned to living at the house again were lame, and there was too much Billi storylines. It didn't help that Kelly Couco couldn't act. All that being said, I actually really liked the finale.

Compared to the Buffy finale, Charmed's was a much more satisfying conclusion to the show, had more punch to it, and really did sum up a lot of what the show was about Kicking demons and family. It's that last part that really puts the Charmed finale so far above the BtVS one. At the end, there were no meaningless deaths, no stupid, ill thought out deus ex machina spells that make all potentials actual slayers (which I still think is monumentally stupid), and no amulet also out of nowhere. Coop's ring had been around and used before, the bad guys knew about it and tried to use it too, and even Billi's past projection powers had come up before (even I saw them used earlier this season before I stopped watching the show). I loved the way that Gramms and their mom was involved, that Wyatt and Chris from the future were included, that Leo was there for most of the episode and that in the end, things more or less worked out. You got a sense of continuity, of real family ties. Even Pru was mentioned, her death addressed with some respect and impact on the characters. The flashes to the future with the characters sligthly older, and then very old Leo and Piper were a nice touch. They showed that life went on, despite the supernatural events and nature of the family. We had a very happy ending, without getting too sappy for my taste, and I was impressed. Brad Kern deserves a great deal of credit for a well written finale. When all is said and done, I definitely think this was a better way to end the series than last season's finale. This summed up the show better, was more satisfying, and is a startling contrast to BtVS which was much more lackluster. Sad, but even with a shaky last season, Charmed still goes out on a higher note and with more dignity.

The Charmed finale had more closure than most genre finales, and yet still left plenty open that if they wanted to revisit this universe they could.

The characters (living and dead) were given far more respect. It is understandable why the cast and crew left on such good terms with each other.

Been a busy week, but I do plan on saying more. Things I liked:
- Seeing Patty and Penny.
- PRU was mentioned repeatedly (despite being dead for 4 years)
- Future Chris and Wyatt.
- Seeing Piper and Leo growing old together.
- The Charmed ones each having 3 children (in my mind Phoebe named her girls Piper, Paige and Pru).
- Billie still friends with them in the future.
- The little girl at the end using "Pru's" powers to close the door.

THANK YOU BRAD KERN!

Curious to find out how Charmed ended I watched the final two episodes last night and really enjoyed them. It was so refreshing to get to the end of a show without it wallowing in misery and depression.

ok i watched every episode of 8 seasons and got a tattoo of the triquetra. i'm so gutted that it ended but the storylines in season 7 and 8 were apalling! i stayed watching as a loyal fan (and because rose mcgowan is hot!!) i'll admit i cried a few times. firstly when paige died and then at the end when they wrapped it up. it was so nice that they didn't leave it on a cliffhanger and gave it the honourable send off it deserves.
it will live on in my heart and tattooed to my shoulder

I have been watching Charmed from the beginning, and yes, there were some good seasons and bad seasons, but I have never stopped watching.
Unlike Buffy, whose last two seasons were awful, overall I am pleased with how everything on Charmed ended.

I got the Charmed Boxset for 2020 Christmas, watched it all and it hasn't been touched since. I found Buffy but that's not to say ill never watch it again. I think it is a comfort show to play in the back ground. you don't have to get too involved because each episode can kind of work on its own. Its cool now to see Buffy actors in Charmed. Like Charisma as the the seer or Ben as the knight.
I do think about watching an episode but then my brain tells me "Tara wouldn't of ended up as that way if she was on charmed" And i think damn right. if Piper can survive and she just moans the whole time then Tara would of had a great life. They all got happy endings too. It makes me bitter so then I watch 'OMWF'.

Piper should of died not Prue. Prue, series three phoebe and Paige would of been a great sisterly trio. Has to be post murphy's luck Prue through anything before that annoys me equally to Pipers nagging.

Who's your favourite sister out of the original series?

Now they have done three series of the reboot. I know the reboot gets some hate mainly fuelled by the original cast but overall its not bad. You're putting it against Charmed the bar isn't that high. An enjoyable and fun bar but none the less not that high.
The first series does feel like its trying to be faithful to the original but wanting its own narrative and feel however its fails and feels like a mess mainly. Especially when so many are trying to make comparisons to the the original.
Which is why the second series kicks it off right. Along with 'the bargaining', the series two opener episode is the best way to start a series in any show I've ever seen in terms of saying we are changing the tone of the show.

Series two makes the reboot feel like its not a remake anymore it is its own show heavily influenced the original in terms of lore but then they make their own mythology and their own original story. The book of shadows is torn apart and the book of elders comes in. its no book of family loving anymore this is higher power knowledge. making it less recipe book in grandma's attic and making it feel like real global stakes can be made. as opposed the avatars in series seven which confused me because they can change realities but yet they have to try and convince three sisters who live in their grams home still using all her stuff. Its a power thing but still, its like being scared of a giant shadow the walking closer to find its a rubber duck. You have the world in your hands but you still moan about the attic door getting blow open. Their base didn't move with the scope of power we were meant to believe they had where as the reboot gives a HQ with the world at their finger tips.

I've not watched series three but am aware of the ending. Not sure how series four will go. personally annoys me they got rid on the one who carried 75% of all the decent story aspects of the original sisters but hey ho. The bigger they are the greater they fall and clearing them out the way could lead to more of making the show its own as opposed to just a reboot.

How do you feel about the reboot?

reboot has been cancelled.
