I haven't posted in this thread yet, naughty me. I thought I'd wait until a wallpaper was posted, even though I knew which one it would be. But, I love Tara's expression in this wallpaper, you an see the turmoil. It fits in nicely with the fic because of the anguish of "that argument" Good work, Ces.

I love the picture you used of Tara; It is so vivid and thoughtful. paired with the blended words around her really gives this piece a feel of reflection. I love the colors, too. ;-)

I can really feel the care you put into this creation. It's really wonderful. Now...I can't wait to see what more the Wallpaper Maniacs have in store for us kittens! hee hee

This whole collaboration was such a great idea!!

Anyways, I've never read "Coming Back", though from the look of that wallpaper, I really should. I normally wouldn't go for angsty fics, but this looks like something...different.

Wow, that's so great... I love the indistinct words, all overlapping and blended, like they're on the edge of being coherent, but not quite there, just a feeling, a sense of what they mean without having actual, plain meaning. Am I making sense? Maybe not. I love the wallpaper ;-)

Ceci, that is beautiful! You've done a thing here with the wallpaper that blends the narrative of the story and the feelings and angst of Chapter 13 into a visual that totally recreates what reading the chapter felt like. And it's beautiful. That picture of Tara also is one where she's looking more mature, and that's how I picture her in Coming Back.

Great job!

Just wanted to throw in my two pesos and say what a beautiful wallpaper you've created! I love how the softness of Tara's face is contrasted by the texture of the title and the harsh font of the words in the background. That particular shot of Tara's face is so expressive, a good choice considering the context the story.

I also love the other graphics you posted, mainly the "Kitten Maniacs Wallpaper" banner. Great work, and looking forward to seeing the rest of them!

Hey, Cecile! Got us off to a great start.

That is such a great wallpaper. Angsty, sure, but I like angst, so that's okay. It really captures how Tara feels about what happened between her and Willow. Not that we know what happened, or anything, because someone hasn't told us yet, but I digress.

And that pic of Tara. *sigh* She's so pretty.

It's perfect, just perfect. You've captured the atmosphere of Tara's dream -- the fogginess; the way the words seem to bloat and undulate; and the play of a bright white light plus something dark just behind the words. I'm sure Car will agree ... this comes very close to how she pictured the dream in her mind ... well for me it does anyway.

Love the paper. It is beautiful! I've been reading the story 'Coming Back' and with everything going on it depicts the depth and beauty of the story with the exceptional colors and of course Tara's face being the first thing you see...WOW!
Anywho, it is beautiful. Keep up the good work people!

justin -- hey... i was really nervous about kicking things off for the team to be truthful, so saying what you said means a lot to me. i'm glad that the wallpaper made you think of the dream because that was really the inspiration for this peace. thanks for the kind words!

spighy -- pouty! you get second dibs! well, you might not need to say it again, but it's still nice to hear.... your turn is up next. i can't wait!

auburn -- gems! i'm glad you like the tara screencap i used for this piece cause when i saw it, i knew immediately that it was what i was looking for the emotion i was conveying.

emms -- i'm really glad you like it! coming back is my favorite fic as well, so when i got assigned ms car, i knew this is her story i wanted to recreate visually... i'm glad you thought the tara picture i used for this wallpaper was perfect coz that's what i thought so to when i first laid eyes on it... it actually took me a while to finish with this piece coz i really wanted to capture the beauty and mystery of the dream sequence... i hope i was able to do just that.

you won't have to wait long coz tomorrow is the big day to see spighy's creation! i'm glad you think this collaboration of ours is a great idea... just our own way of showing our gratitude to all the wonderful kitten fic writers.

will -- i'm really happy knowing that you find my wallpaper beautiful... i'm relatively new to wallpaper making, but i'm really enjoying myself playing around with it, and i took capturing the mood of ms car's excellent fic as a personal challenge, and i'm glad i passed.

sallymcfine -- ms sally! when i got assigned ms car, there was no doubt in my mind that that dream sequence is what i wanted to capture and i'm glad you think i was able to recreate that chapter... that chapter made an impact with me and i hope this little wallpaper of mine made an impact in others as well.

thianne -- i'm glad you and your other personally, simon, think my wallpaper is great... the fic is really angsty but so worth it to read don't you think... you don't have to wait too long, may 3rd is almost upon us.

foomatic -- foo! hey, thanks for the two pesos hehe! seriously, with every dip and shadow, softness and light, i've hoped to capture the feel of the story, and reading your feedback as well as the others, i can now say to myself that i may actually have... it took me a lot of trial and error to get to the final product, but it was all worth it.

Hey Cecile. *hi* I’m not sure we’ve met. I guess I’m a little late here, too, sorry! I hope I can still squeeze in a reply. What a wonderful start and first update. The wallpaper is lovely, that picture of Tara that you chose captures her gloomy expression perfectly, the colors work especially well together, and I feel that the various fonts and words in the backgrounds is a nice touch. I actually have not read the story that this update is dedicated to, I have been slacking in that area, but because of this new wallpaper I am about to start.
