Bread that I made myself! I am disproportionately proud of my achievement. :-D

The kids and I did bread-making as a Passover-related activity at the church youth group this morning. I can't remember whether I washed my hands before kneading it :paranoid but it tastes yummy. :)

And I got part of my point over by quoting, almost word for word, the bit in Tulipp's incredible fic "Bread" about both rising and knocking down being necessary in life - so thank you again, Tulipp, for that inspirational piece of writing.

Buttered raisin bread toast with chili-cocoa, cinnamon and sugar sprinkled on top.

And speaking of Bread, and Ms. Shoes previous post: Yeah, that fic is wonderful - I was a little embarrassed when I started reading fanfic and then I stumbled on to that piece, finished it, reread it and thought to myself: damn. this stuff is good and totally unworthy of shame (further reading here has furthered that realization). I think of that beautiful little fic at least once a month, even though I read it quite a while ago. It is a strange and marvelous piece that makes you read the word "Buffybot" and then seriously consider it's effects on interpersonal relationships. Life is so strange at times.

So I send a second rousing cheer of appreciation Tulipps way, even though I doubt she will see this.

I noticed she's not around her anymore, what happened to her? I loved everything she wrote, including her feedback on other fics...

Either you are very shy, or I am very ugly, you choose...

Also, a few thousand miles away.....

Now I'm eating toothpaste in an attempt to walk away from the board and go to bed. So far I'm failing, and dripping froth on the keyboard.

I'm cooking Spanish Chicken for dinner (without chicken, with Quorn) and the sauce tastes suspiciously like Dorito dip. :shock
