my world under the lens ( updated: July 20th)

Postby tarebear » Sat Jun 03, 2006 2:11 am

hi y'all!

it seems everyone's been inspired to put up their own photo threads, so what's one more right?

i have always loved pictures (me preferably behind the lens) and ever since i had my own camera, i just find myself snapping anything and everything in sight!

i have never thought of making a photo thread, but looking at the others' wonderful pictures, i just got inspired to show you guys what i've got, too.

so, without further ado, here is my life captured by the lens.

Image

this one's a picture taken in one of the busy streets of Lucban when we went to the Pahiyas Festival* last year.

*Lucban celebrates the Pahiyas Festival every May 15 in honor of its patron saint, St. Isidore the Farmer. This festival showcases a street of houses which are designed with fruits, vegetable and kiping, a rice-made decoration, which afterwards can be eaten raw. The houses are judged and the best one is proclaimed the winner. --source: wikipedia

one of my favorite japanese dishes, california maki, with the souvenir umbrella from a valentine dinner date with friends from work.

okay, that'll be my first batch of pictures for now... hope you enjoyed a glimpse of "my world." ;-)

'til next time!

oh btw, there is a theme to those set of pictures... can anyone guess? :peace

later!

Those are some really good photos. I liked the one of the festival.

Is the theme umbrellas? there seems to be some in all the pictures.

Yay! Ces! I am so happy that you started a pic thread!! I love them! You are a really good photographer. My favorite is the one of your friend with her umbrella...it's so artistic. I love how she and the umbrella are off center...that really shows your artistic eye for composition.

Love them all. I can't wait to see more!

I think it's so cool that everyone's starting a photo thread. And everyone has such different styles and themes...

Ces,
Great photos. My favorite is the food dish. I haven't figured out why yet. Maybe because I'm very ascentric when it comes to photographs. I'd really like to see more.
I've really started things going here...haven't I? *snickers*

okay guys! so here are my new batch of pictures:

Image

i was so afraid he will wake up and chomp my arm out while i was stretching out my arms to get a better picture of his slumber.

Image

i was walking home and i see my kitty taking a little cat nap outside.

Image

i knew it was bad of me to take a picture of my co-worker at his errrrr most vulnerable... but looking at the picture, how can you not, right? he just laughed it off later on.... don't worry, he wasn't drooling... much! hehe!

Image

poor guy! he must have been real beat falling asleep in the middle of a theme park no less!

okay, you know the drill... guess the theme and win lots of prizes.... okay there's no prize really but i give great hugs! :-D

Oooo more photos! Ces, I love them. Since you always seem to have a theme to the shots you post I was sitting here trying to figure out what it was this time. At first I thought it was cats, but then I got to the picture of your co-worker asleep at the helm and I was momentarily confused...and then I thought his name might have been "Kitty" or something clever like that...it took me a moment to really "get" that "sleeping" was what you were going for here. :lol and then I felt silly. :D

I love the other set of photos as well--with the swans. The one of the swan boats really drew me in...the composition and everything else is really wonderful. It's all about timing and must take a lot of skill to get a shot like that because you don't have control over the boaters...it's not like you can shout out across the water and get them to paddle wherever you want them. :lol

anyway...sorry...my feedback seems sort of lame today.

Nice pics, even with the cell phone. I'm definitely going to look for a new camera. Yes, I agree, nothing beats a good digital camera.

I'm guessing the theme would be cat-napping. Am I right?? Am I?? Ok, technically, the two guys aren't cats, but they are cat-napping. :D

WOW Ces, really wonderful pictures :x especially the rose with the water drops. I don't think I ever saw a rose with a pink/orange colour. And no wonder the picture didn't want to be resized. ;-)

Well............I'm guessing the theme this time is pink/orange flowers :-D and am I right ;))

Once again you and especially your mom must be so proud of the garden.

And to answer your question, yes please :-D

Thanks Ces :flower
