YouTube, do you Tube?

Postby LesbianJedi87 » Fri Jun 30, 2006 6:17 pm

I was thinking about the increasingly popularity of this website and wondered if any other Kitten's frequent it or post video's themselves. If you haven't checked it out go to http://www.youtube.com and take a look. :D

So if you frequent YouTube and find any video's worth posting, do so here, or if you wanna show off your own video's, feel free to link em here as well. :)

I don't post vids, but I do watch a lot. It's neat some of the stuff you can find on there.

For example, one of my favorite Mad TV song parodies is here. So funny.

Cool! I totally love YouTube. It's the best. I like to watch Mad TV skits too, the hero factor. My favorite song parody is Lady Mad TV. I also like watching old 80s music videos. You can see links to some of my favorites on the Lists thread on this board. Also there is this guy Morbeck. He mostly does female characters, and he is hilarious.

I go to Youtube pretty much every day, and it's amazing what you can find there. I rediscovered some old AMV's I used to have burned to CD's, found some new ones I liked, and even found some TV episodes. :)

I don't browse around very much at all, but someone sent me a link to this video and, oh my, I've watched it *just a few* times since.

It's clips from the TV adaptation of Tipping The Velvet, set to Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls.

Just watch.

Enjoy.

ah Morbeck! Ive been subscribed to him for age's. I wish he would do more paradoy's of other user's rather then dress up as a girl with many different characters, but he's still hillarious!

I love that one, too. Lorraine and Ms Swan are two of my favorite Mad TV characters.

Ya know, Krazy Dreamer, I really gotta thank you for posting that list a few days ago. Because until then, I'd been watching fandom music vids and clips from TV show at YouTube. I never thought about looking for actual music videos! Now I've got to see a whole bunch that I haven't seen in years.

Imitaion of Life by REM - This video is just so cool.

Joey by Concrete Blonde - Yeah, the video is kinda meh, but Concrete Blonde is my favorite band (Johnette Napolitano's voice...*swoon*).

What Have I Done to Deserve This by Pet Shop Boys - I didn't even realize 'til just a couple years ago that that's Dusty Springfield singing with them.

Always On My Mind by Pet Shop Boys - They made some weird-ass videos in the 80's. And it may be blasphemous, but I'll take this version of the song over Elvis, or Willie Nelson, or whoever the heck else has ever done it.

Dressed For Success by Roxette - This was my first Roxette. She had such cool hair.

Be Near Me by ABC - A childhood favorite of mine, and it's still a great song.

Hold Me Now by Thompson Twins - Ditto, with the still being a great song.

Cool. :) THF, Looks like we have very similar tastes in 80s music videos. Joey, the Petshop Boys, and of course Roxette were some of the first videos I looked for when I discovered this treasure trove that is YouTube. Be Near Me by ABC has always held a special place in my heart, and speaking of the Thompson Twins, this one is my favorite: King For a Day. I'll post more when I have time, probably in the Lists thread, just so it doesn't get messy.

I love YouTube and have found some music videos from bands that I loved when I was in high school - never had seen the videos, we didn't have cable when I was growing up.

Happy Hour by the Housemartins - the dancing at the end just kills me

The Smiths - Girlfriend in a Coma

And of course the lovely Dar Williams

Hi all! So I'm looking for some vids on youtube but I can't find them and I KNOW I've watched them before, and I don't know if I'm not looking right or what. So if anyone can help me out by linking them on here or PMing me or whatever, I'd really appreciate it.

Okay, so I'm looking for the Saturday Night Live skit where they're making fun of Steve Jobs and the IPod where he keeps taking out one "new" IPod after another becuase they become "obsolete" immediately after they come out and the last one he takes out is so small it's invincible... and this is during the Weekend Update part.

Also, another SNL video I keep looking for any skit with Maya Rudolph as Donatella Versace. I've only found about 3 but I know SNL has produced more skits than that.

Thanks Kittens!

That's pretty funny. It's hard for me if I know the song in English to hear the "spanish." Much easier if I don't know the song, cause if I do, I just sing the lyric in English.

A little something for the Tipping the Velvet Fans . . .

Found this parody of the movie, done by some British comediennes that I'm not familiar with. I found it hilarious and liked it better than the actual movie.
