My little lesbo town kicked off Pride season on May 6 actually, with Northampton Pride. It was okay, but having come of gay-age going to the debauch-filled West Hollywood and San Diego prides, Northampton is a big disappointment as its an alcohol-free, family-focused kind of event. It'll be great when I've got a family, and the little face-painted munchkins were cute running around, but in the meantime I'm considering going to either Boston or New York for a dose of half-naked gay men in leather on leashes. Call me old fashioned.

I'm going to Boston pride on Saturday, I hope it stops raining! This will be my first pride here as I used to go to SF pride.

For those Kittens who are in the midwest, Pridefest is happening in Milwaukee this weekend. I have a number of friends who are going (only one of whom is bisexual), but I can't go (hello... irony?). I would have loved to go this Friday, but I have to work til midnight. Saturday I've had long standing plans, so maybe Sunday I can swing in.

Darn it.

London (Ontario) Pride is July 9th. Anyone who's attending, please follow the Proud Anglicans banner back to Christ Church, and say hi to the BBQ guy. :wave

I am just fresh from Alabama Pride where I was at the Greater Birmingham NOW table registering voters. We registered about 40 people, which isn't a lot, but pretty decent, and fun anyway.

Lots and lots of people of all kinds. I always love Pride stuff, because you really get to see the fullness of the GLBT community and our friends. Plus, too, I found another drag queen to crush on. :blush

Boston Pride ended yesterday, it was lots of fun (even though the Parade happened during constant rainfall), and filled with some really great events. Kudos to all the people who participated, volunteered and partied their butts off! Especially to all of the cool straight folks.

I think Rhode Island Pride is next in the New England area. And I believe NYC Pride happens at the end of the month.

An enjoyable time was had by many, at Michigan Pride. :pride

An observation: we queers have the best "family values" . . . evident by the number (at Pride) of happy kids and happy dogs alone!

GG While Yours Truly is still in a bit of a (terminated) relationship-funk, because I am a dog lover, all the many rainbow-bandana'd canines, were a definite Mood Lifter! Yay, dogs! {insert imaginary dog emoticon here :::picture wagging tail!:::} Out

Laters all!

Well London pride (or Europride as it technically was this year) was quite a good laugh. I hadn't been to a pride event for a few years as it usually descended in to Steps hell, but this year was fun. I watched the parade, saw Sir Ian McKellen and then proceeded to have a few beers in Soho Square and catch up with friends. All in all a rather good day out :)

Pride Vermont is this Saturday in Burlington, and it's supposed to be sunny (finally. I'm sick of rain!)!

I'm not sure if there are any other kittens in the VT area, but I'm going with a few friends.
