G'day, Emms! :wave

From the front of the pack, to the arse end ... yep, that sounds about right, given what I did last time.

Lets see if I can come up with some decent feedback to make up for my atrocious lateness. (I wouldn't hold your breath if I was you ...

)

Right from the first paragraph, you've painted a portrait of a landscape indelibly caught up in Autumn. (that's right, I said Autumn! None of this fall rubbish for us Aussies!

) The kid's adventures with the leaves sounds just right, though I throughly hope they were going to jump in those piles as soon as they were finished. It just wouldn't be right otherwise! :grin

Ginny sounds like a good friend; if for no other reason than she knows how to push Tara's buttons. It's usually the people that know us best that find it the easiest to aggravate us, don't you find? Of course, they both pushed things a bit too hard, and nearly ended up jumping down each others throats, but hey, at least they care, right?

I did get a bit confused by the Kelly reference at first. I thought she might have been someone Tara was involved with, that ended badly, rather than having been Logan's bit on the side. Guess I'm feeling a bit slow, but I did figure it out eventually.

And Willow is also meeting someone named Kelly? :hmm

A co-inky-dink perhaps? The evil, plotting little bastard in me says: hell no! I'm afraid Sally may have hit the nail on the head, in that Logan may be trying to use Kelly to get in between Willow and Tara, out of nothing more than a feeling of petty spite. But I could be wrong. No, don't gasp, it has happened before.

Logan's stunt with the tuition ... what the effin' hell is her problem! This is your kid's future! I don't care how pissed off you are with your ex, you don't put the kids in the middle if you're any kind of decent human being! :happy

The in-bed chat was lovely and sweet, as is to be expected. I mean c'mon, put Willow, Tara and Emms together, you're bound to get something delightfully sweet! :grin

And huzzah to joint camping! But isn't Willow's trip to Japan coming up soon?

Great update and very long. I like that Tara has a friend who cares for her so deeply and deeply enough to ask hard questions. They may be harsh but at least they're true. You know?

I still have a terrible sense of forboding regarding Logan and now I'm wondering about the connection between Logan's Kelly and the Kelly Willow is meeting with. Does't seem coincidental to me.

Nice that they both missed each other so much. The camp out should be great.

sorry for the very late feedback but had a mad weekend/week. i came out to my mum!! :pride

i was so nervous but it was so worth it because our relationship hasnt changed and i dont feel guilty for hiding things from her. sorry off topic....
anyways...did i tell you how much i LOVE this story and your writing? yes? well i'm going to tell you again. bloody fantastic update!! i love how they're thinking the same thing (asking if the other is in bed) its soooo sweet. i'm gushing right now!!

Great chapter - the conversation between Tara and Ginny was a great 'talk to a friend' scene, especially realistic because it didn't follow the cliche of 'main character talks to friend and works out own issues in the process'. Rather, it was a different perspective - helped in some ways, not so much in others, and it was about Tara and Ginny easily as much as it was about Ginny being a mechanism for Tara to work her life out. But it led to the camping holiday idea, which is great - I hope Willow can go, it seems like a great opportunity for all involved to have no-pressure fun.

I, too, suspect the Kelly Willow is meeting is the Kelly from Tara's past - I wonder how that'll play out. Hopefully not to the detriment of Willow and Tara's budding relationship :paranoid

The last segment, the two of them on the phone, was a really touching combination of innocent and intimate - both being in bed, but just sharing companionship, not hot lusty action. Just being together with their voices. It was very sweet :blush

Sorry dude. I don't know what I could say that has not already been said by everyone else. The Kelly bit is tres suspicious, Logan is a mean mean whore, Willow and Tara are just ridiculously adorable (in a hot way), and Spencer is the love of my life.

Willow is quickly become the beacon of simplicity in Tara's complicated life with the drunk ex and the broken down car. Stupid cars. It's great to see though that Tara and Spencer quickly replace many things in their lives with Willow and her glory. They give a little, she gives a little. It's a wonderful compromise.

And Ginny is just . . . every character needs a confidante and Ginny fills in that role to the ace. I just hope the camping trip and Willow's work don't make things crazier than they already are.

The phone call with Willow was so sweet!

Perfect ending to what appeared to be a rough day for Tara. First with Ginny calling her on her issues (hey, what are friends for?) and then the mess with Logan. Poor Tara, she had to be emotionally exhausted.

Looking forward to the camping trip as well. :-D

Great work Emms! I am really enjoying this fic.
