i havent been able to get onto chat lately.
all i get is the little emoctional (whatever) and cant get on
any suggestions on what i am doing wrong

Hmmm, I'm not sure. I just went in there and everything worked fine for me. Do you have the latest version of Java installed? You can test your Java here. If you need the latest version, you can download it here.

Another thing is that it's possible you might have problems with Java if you don't have the latest version of your browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox, etc.). So if you've installed the latest version of Java and it still doesn't work properly, try installing the latest version of your browser, if you don't already have it.

Please let us know if it's still not working after you try that stuff.

(You can also get to chat by using an IRC client like mIRC to connect to our chat channel - it's #kitten at irc.blitzed.org.)

is the chat log in on the front page going to be working again or is it gone
it stopped working after the front page went down the other day

I just wanted to say that I got the chat stats back working! yay! They are at the bottom of the front page! I can't guarantee they'll always work because it is dependent on the blitzed irc server and also because the chat mod is no longer supported.

I hope it works for a while!

OK, so i have been patient. And i was wondering, well maybe it's just me...BUT, I have no "Chat Room" option on the kitten board anymore. And I'm not sure if it's just me, cause i haven't seen anyone else post about not having it, so I ask...Where's Chat??

Well darn, that explains why I can never find it anymore...though that's the main reason I keep coming back looking to chat with some like minded peeps

I'm hijacking this thread for its title.

I'd love to see more kittens in the chat room! For the next week, I'm going to plant myself in that chatroom every moment I'm online. It would be awesome if everyone who came to the Kitten Board and felt chatty did the same. Even if you're idle, just having lots of names in the list might make newcomers more likely to stick around instead of doing the quick log-in/log-out that eventually leads to empty rooms and dust puppies.

I hereby proclaim this Kitten Chat Week. Let's see if it catches on!
