All the Amberholics' holiday wishes came true as the movie is a fantastic showcase for Amber's wide range of emotions and her innate ability to play comedy, drama, mystery, and just a hint of the supernatural as well.
There's even a BTVS reference thrown in for continuity purposes.
Producers of the world, sit up and take notice: Amber can play it all so cast her without delay.
I can deny chicks in chainmail nothing.

Except I don't seem to remember Buffy and Faith using a magical cell phone to switch bodies...

And I've gotta wonder something. If they watch "Buffy" there, how come the girls don't recognize their party planner as a stuttering lesbian witch?

...And starring Amber Benson as herself!

Sassy, sarcastic Amber for the length of a feature...gotta love that!
And Reggie from Dead Like Me too! I knew she'd grow up into a swan after her teenage awkward phase...nice to see her again

All in all another somewhat mediocre movie (aren't they all on Lifetime?) redeemed by a fabulous performance by our girl Amber...like we'd expect anything less...another wonderful installment in the Amber Benson Silent Facial Acting Hall of Fame...but why was she still wearing her Lenore makeup? They had her looking so pale...what, there wasn't enough money in the budget for blush?

All in all worth watching just for all the Amber time...has she had so much screen time in anything but Chance before this? Not that I have seen...and you can't go wrong with that...but I have to say, how tacked on was that ending? Ah well, as I said...Lifetime...but a lovely Amber-filled Christmas treat just the same :wtkiss :smug

Happy Holidays all!

^Oh, I don't know. They did foreshadow Jeremiah's, um, status (my 20yo son picked it up before I did ) :happy I was kinda expecting Rachel the red-head girl to be Danni's long-lost sister.

Didn't that last scene with the private eye, poor Danni's hopes dashed...didn't Amber just shatter your heart into a million pieces? :cry

This character is probably as close to Amber's natural personality as I've ever seen: sharp-edged, sassy and salty in spite of her undeniable sweetness. Hopefully, this movie will show producers that, hey, this girl's got some real chops.

Given the usual holiday dreck, this movie wasn't bad. No Scrooged, but not bad. Yeah, the Buffy reference was a hoot. ;-)

Indeed. I really couldn't watch the movie past that point. She's just like Aly in that respect: she can be cute and funny one moment, but the minute she turns on the waterworks, I immediately feel for her, and want to do nothing but wrap her up in a big hug.

(Of course, the fact that I couldn't watch the movie past that point was probably more due to the fact that I realized mere moments before that the whole movie, or at the very least the mall scenes, were filmed near where I live, which meant that Amber Benson was where I live sometime in the last year, a piece of knowledge that still infuriates me a week after I first learned about it.)

The only word that can truly describe the movie is "mawkish", but AB, with the extraordinary mobility of her features, was able to add some degree of consequence to the project.

With regard to what was written by a previous poster, I actually have high hopes for the "Gryphon" project, since it is (to use the phrase of young person I know ) a somewhat more "gonzo-yaya" subject which will no doubt give her greater scope for her talents.

Not to mention, Amber in chain mail in a chicks-kick-ass-movie (my ultimate guilty pleasure genre)...how could that not be incredible even if the script turns out to be less than stellar...Sci-Fi Original movies tend to be pretty cheesy in the production values department...but since they shot in Romania instead of some backlot we can have some hope that it's got a budget...

Personally, just the sight of Amber, Warrior Princess charging around on a horse with a sword in her hand will probably be so hypnotic for me that I'll be far too caught up in sexual fantasy to notice the plot much...can't wait...

And yes...mawkish...very apt description but then again being as it was a Lifetime movie that is pretty much a prerequisite

All in all, this wasn't a half bad movie. The plot was way cheesy, but Amber saved it--and the two actresses that played the girls were pretty good too. I kept saying, who cares about the stupid party.

Oh, and a thumbs up to Amber, Warrior Princess :)

Alright, I'm gonna get murdahed for this, but...

First off, the movie itself. I thought it was decent, but I think was written too much for 10 year olds, in all honesty. First off, who didn't know Jeremiah was an angel? I knew it, and I wasn't even paying attention to those scenes much. :p

Secondly, the plot, while cute and fluffy, was kinda lacking that attention-getting punch that glues you to the screen. It's good background music (or is that background sound? *shrugs*), but it's not really something I'd watch for the full 2 hours with my full attention.

I also found some of the writing was about as weak as mine (which I admit can have moments here and there, but generally sucks). I understand that not everyone can write epics, especially on Made-For-TV Movie budgets, but it shouldn't be amaturish, like I feel this one was.

That said, then ending was sweet, Amber played a rather multi-dimentional character which had quite a good backstory for a 90 minute piece, and it was a nice heartwarming holiday flick, which is something that people love to watch these days (or, at least I do).

Considering all that, I thought Amber's preformance was mediocur. She had great moments. The opening was hilarious, and Dani's sly, daring attitude was :drool, but that said, I thought emotionally speaking, she was almost to the point of "get out of the room before you blow up laughing". Particularly, I thought her crying, while probably better than about 20% of Hollywood actors, was still rather unconvincing. I quite literally cringed and let out a little chuckle while watching it.

With all that said, I didn't mind the movie, and did watch it a second time just 'cause Amber looked probably as good as she has in a while, and the story still was cute.

That's my 2 cents Canadian. :peace

Ack! I missed it! :cry

Lifetime always reruns its movies fifty gazillion times, though - don't they? Does anyone know if they're rerunning this one? If not, I'll have to add my name to the "waiting for the upload" list.

i don't know either - had lots of people get the l word and had no issues - what browser are you using ie or firefox? when you go to the ftp address above does it bring up a log in box right away? if you are using ie and it doesn't bring up the login box ... click on the file button and you should see a choice for login - try it there ... otherwise i am not sure ... one other thing try this address:
