Wow Cam, thank you! You finally answered a question that's been on my mind for years. I always had a sneaky suspicion that Joyce found them with their hands in the cookie jar. tee hee.

Great job!

See, now that's not what I was expecting when you prefaced this ditty with the paraphased question "so, how *did* Joyce find out about Willow and Tara?," but I loved it just the same. Poor Tara, trying to make herself Dracula-like, and a cloak fetish? Oh, Willow. *shakes head* I'm going out on a limb and saying that I think she probably developed this cloak fixation as a young child, when she found herself inexplicably drawn to the Little Red Riding Hood drawing in her Brother's Grimm children's book. (Just cause I like the idea of Little Red Riding Hood as a metaphor for sexual awakening, and Willow finding Tara in the cloak... I'll shut up. ;) )

...Anywhoo, great little fluffy masterpiece my friend. Much enjoyed!

Cam - having watched those episodes about twelve times, I've always wondered the same thing. Nice to have some backstory here on why Joyce changed her opinion so quickly. Now we know.

As usual, this is hysterically funny. I love the list and the way you lay it out, showing the attempt to fulfill it before the wording of the list. "Deathly pallor" ha ha ha. So it was the cloak? Figures.

I love it.

Cam,
Gut-bustingly side-splittingly comic with a lovely undercurrent of sweetness and endearingly Tara-ish in her underconfident mien after hearing Willow's freudian slip about Dracula's charisma.
Tara and Willow have, by this point, absorbed each other's essences so that personality traits from the one are emulated by the other as an involuntary response to perceived crises.
Tara goes all Willowy in the chart of "Why Dracula is Sexy" and then proceeds to systematically expose Willow to each of them and gauges her response.
Willow, in such a loving and protective way, plays nursemaid to her lover and mistakes Tara's amateur psychological profiling for a viral infection.
It is only, as these things frequently happen, through the intervention of serendipity that Tara discovers the root cause of Willow's fascination with "The Big D', as it were.
CLOAK FETISH!!!
The imagery of the cloak billowing and fluttering around Tara's voluptuous and curvy form makes me want to take a bite out of crime.
I can deny chicks in chainmail nothing.

Hey there, just finished catching up with these…

The Hardest Thing To Do… Ok, that had me laughing out loud. You know what was so funny is that they were completely in character but saying these things that they wouldn’t say. Spike singing everything and Dawn repeating that line over and over, the kissing getting more bizarre, Giles’ glasses at last being broken apart, sorry, totally hysterical. Nice job.

Property of Willow Rosenberg Very funny. I also liked the internal workings of Tara’s thoughts about what was going on in their lives and her feelings about Willow, her place in the Scooby gang, etc. It was very clever to have Tara not notice the ink until the neighbor did; very telling of Tara’s character that she would be hurt and angry that she was being laughed at, and then to discover why? Priceless. It really was a Willow thing to do.

Someplace REALLY Scary Not much to say about this one, except ‘so true, so true… and so sad.’

Dopeygayland (Part 1 of 3) LMAO! Oz saying “Girlfriend!” Oh man. . . Nice twist on the story. Willow’s spazzy reactions and her trying to rationalize everything always makes for funny stuff; also, nice use of dialogue from the show.

Dopeygayland (Part 2 of 3) Spike and Andrew(Drusilla)?! LMAO! Very nice touch. “Mistress of Pain dominatrix…and apparently shop exclusively at Dungeons ‘R’ Us and Victoria’s Secret Skank…” Ok, that is very funny and totally something Willow would think. And when she screamed “I’m a virgin!” and Tara got all excited, I laughed out loud.

Dopeygayland (Part 3 of 3) “Buffy the Vampire Slayer! That’s…holy fuck…that’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard!” LMAO, that is funny because I seem to recall some movie reviewers saying the same thing! “Oh, we broke up,” Willow said, smiling brightly. “And the look isn’t the only thing that’s changed.” Nice touch using the actual dialogue and sitch from the show.

Fire Good “I am Tara, Lady of Lesboland,” LOL. And that Giles went down on a knee? LOL. “Willow of the Sunny Dale.” Nice touch.

Hunted First, I love the Cowboy Junkies, so good on you from “borrowing” from one of the best. Second, this was very interesting; there are so many stories from Tara’s pov after ‘new moon rising’ so this was a fresh breath reading this. One of the things I liked best, however, was that Willow went back in her thoughts to the Veruca attack and studied her feelings and reactions. That was very well done. Third, the ending, of Willow professing her love to Tara was a nice closing.

Happy Campers LOL. This was extremely funny and cute. Having been on many vacations – some of which included camping – I have to say that how Tara and Willow bickered and got annoyed with one another was dead-on accurate. True to life and true to character. Also, that they eventually reached a point where they found peace and happiness and laughter was also very true; they came back with good memories, which is what usually happens. Nice job.

Lesson Learned I liked this story because it took the aftermath of the lethe’s bramble and dissected it in a different, and more thorough way. In the show, Tara never really got to ‘show’ Willow how wrong she was, never got to be there when Willow ‘learned’ how wrong she was. You did both. You gave both characters more dimension in your story than the show did.

The Shawl of Thrall Ok now, this one was just fun all around. You expertly integrated pieces from the show with your own take on what Tara was thinking and how she was going to find out. Tara always had that bit of mistrust in Willow – is she gay? Is she mine? – and I think you captured it in a true, albeit funny, way. Cloak fetish…? LOL. Very nice job.

Sorry to ramble on so long and to not really say anything. I just have really enjoyed these, so thank you, and please keep writing!

Cam, this was cute and hilarious. A nice combination! I loved the title, Shawl of Thrall, which is just brilliant. And a cloak fetish!?! Awesome. I have a top hat fetish myself, so I can relate. Hmmm.... top hat and cloak? ;-) Your short stories are awesome, keep 'em coming!!

Actually I think the way it was dealt with in the show came at it from another angle. Tara showed Willow she couldn't use magic for everything, as a magic fix (by the way, why didn't Willow just take off her trousers? Or use magic to unglue herself?), but in the show the car crash showed her a much more important message. I don't condone the crappiness of making magic an addiction, but the crash showed how her dangerous her magic use was. And yeah, there are other ways that would've addressed her self-image issues rather than make it look like an addiction, but I think the car crash did a good job.

That's not to say I haven't enjoyed reading this, though. Dopeygayland and The Shrall Of Thrall were wicked, but I absolutely fell in love with The Hardest Thing To Do.
