i will probably buy it the day it comes out, and then try to just read little bits at a time to make it last before giving up and consuming the whole thing in a 24 hour period.

what work of fiction really resonates with you and why?

The Thief of Always. It was my favorite book when I was younger, and even now it's amazing to me. It's just very creative, and frightening at the same time. Really sets an example for how I'd like my writing to eventually grow into something that stays with you.

Ursula K LeGuin. Love her.


How did you end up choosing the career you are in?

not really sure. I teach a really random subject that was not my major in college. i guess I just kind of followed my instincts and did what came naturally to me, and when something seemed like the right decision, I didn't question it, just went with it.


What do you most like about your job/career?

i work in a preschool so basically i get to play all day. i sure do love the blocks, books, and puzzles. hehe basically i'm a big kid so playing is what i do best.

if you could choose a different job/career, what would it be, and why?

Well... either doing what I do but in a non-profit venue so I could feel like I'm helping people or ... Helping people organize their houses and offices and stuff. I love organization.

Q - What's the biggest mistake you made today?

A: I think i gave a wrong answer to a customer in my job... what can i do? it is done..

Q: what kind of things make your mind more busy?

A: Seed catalogs and visiting other farms. It begins with "Oh! Next season I could..." and then it just keeps going for hours.

Q: What is your favorite breakfast food? (Detailed descriptions earn you grateful Boschi-buck rewards).

Sourdough pancakes, lots of butter, lots of maple syrup. Might sound plain & boring, but my tastes are simple. If I want fruit, I'll eat fruit - no need to put it in my pancakes. Same with whipped cream or whatever adventurous types top their stack with - when I'm in the mood for that, I order a sundae. No, I'll take the classic pancake stack any day of the week.

The only twist, I suppose, is the sourdough. Had these first when I lived in Alaska and the taste just stuck with me.


Q: How often do you actually eat breakfast?

daily - can't go without it!


Do you ever forget to eat a meal because you're too busy?

No. I get incredibly hungry and get low blood sugar. Plus which, as a child we were very poor and I frequently had to go hungry until I could have breakfast or lunch at school the next day. So I'm just not good with not getting a meal. I will always take a break for some kind of food.

Q. - What's your favorite charity?

definately make-a-wish. i run a race every year and the money goes to this charity. i mean what other charity makes a child dream come true. and i love children and to see smiles on their faces it's incredible.

if you were stranded on an island and could have one thing, what would it be?

Well, if the island had wireless, then a computer. If it had satelite telephone systems, then a cell phone.

When was the last really enjoyable telephone conversation you had and who was it with?

Today as I was driving home. My wife and I were just visiting and talking about the day and stuff and it was a good conversation.

Q. Have you ever wished to be someone else and who?

yes, I was used to wish to be one of my godfather's children, or sometimes it was to be the child of somebody rich and nice like in movies

Q: Are someone positive about your future?

Yes, I feel generally pretty positive about the future.

Do you like your job?

If you had asked me that last week, I would have said no, but I quit that horrible, awful job, so I'm a happy camper now.

What is your favorite childhood book/author?

Hmmm... as young kid: Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.
When I was older: The Halloween Tree by Ray Bradbury.


Q: What talent(s) did you have when you are younger that you fear you may have squandered?

A: Don't laugh, but I was a child chess prodigy. Won a couple of tournaments, actually used to have a ranking. I haven't played a game in probably twenty ~ twenty-five years at least, I probably don't even remember how to castle properly.

Q: What talent have you discovered as an adult that no one would've guessed you possessed as a child?

Working with kids. I never did believe that I had the patience and either did anyone else. But I love it. Not for sure if I want any of my own but I like spending the day with them and sending them home at night. lol

What is the silliest thing that ever happened to you?

Lots of silly things, but probably the getting caught in the pouring down rain coming out of work and somehow my boss and I ended up dancing all around the parking lot in it. It was wonderfully silly.

what was something you use love to do and now you don't?

hmm i used to like to go out to bars/crowds. but now they make me nervous and i'd rather just hang out with the people i know or go out to dinner with friends.

what do you wish out of life?

Pretty much what I already have, only maybe a more permanent job and that my dog's arthritic hip would get better. Otherwise I'm pretty happy.
