Hi guys and girls. As the last update was rather short, i have written this one quite long so be warned. So here is the next part.
********************************************************************************************
The pair stand perfectly still, as they listen. A rustling sound can be heard coming from a bush nearby. They see the bush shake slightly. Tara looks at Willow, and sees panic in her eyes. Not caring if it makes a noise Tara kisses Willow. She can’t stand seeing her scared. As they stop, they listen. Nothing.
Chapter 23As both of them stand, waiting, listening; all they can hear is a slight whistle between the trees from the wind. They suddenly look around them and realise the weather has all of a sudden changed. The wind is now howling and the sky has become dark. The clouds seem full and ready to burst any second.
“Um, I think we’d better go,” says Tara.
“But, what about the picnic?”
“We’ll eat it inside,”
“But what was that noise?” says Willow letting go of Tara.
“I don’t know, but it was obviously nothing,”
“OK, then,” says Willow picking up the lunch as it starts to drizzle with rain.
“Come on!” shouts Tara starting to run.
Just as Willow is about to run after Tara she spots something coming out of the bushes. She turns around and a black, white and furry animal appears. Willow thinks she should be screaming, it could be anything, but it doesn’t scare her.
It’s a kitten! Well it looks it!Willow begins to approach the small bundle. She bends down to see the creature close up.
It is a kitten, but oh no it’s hurt and wet. Poor thing. As she inspects the kitten she finds a big slash on the side of it. Willow immediately feels sorry for the kitten, which can only be a month or so old she guesses.
Willow turns her head around to find Tara running up to her.
“What’s the matter? Are you hurt?” she says sounding worried.
“No, no. But someone is. I found this tiny baby kitten all alone out here,” she says.
“Oh bless. It’s so cute. We should take it with us and look after it. That gash in its side looks bad,” replies Tara.
“Yeah, I’ll carry it in my coat so it doesn’t get any more wet,” says Willow.
“But you’ll get wet, look at it!” says Tara as the drizzle turns into a full-blown storm.
“I don’t care!” she says firmly.
“Ah, our little vet!” smiles Tara, “Now come on!”
Willow wraps the kitten in her coat and they all run back to the house.
They arrive back totally drenched. The pair takes care of the kitten’s wounds and put a bandage around it.

Later that evening Willow and Tara are sitting in the living room in front of the warm fireplace. With a blanket around them, they are huddled together.
“Today was interesting?” smiles Willow.
“Yeah, and it’s only the first day,” giggles Tara.
“I know, what more excitement can possibly happen?” jokes Willow.
“Oh, plenty, I’m sure,”
“So, um, you know you were going to explain about this place a bit more,”
“Yeah I was. Um, my Grandfather sort of lives here. Well he comes here on holidays. He would be here now, but he said I could use it for a week. So here we are,”
“Well that explains the food. So that’s why you came here a lot when you were younger?”
“Yeah. With my Mum and Dad,” says Tara.
“That must have been nice,”
“Yeah it was,” sighs Tara.
Willow spots the hint of sadness in Tara’s voice and gives Tara an even harder hug.
Willow then realises she has never even asked about Tara’s parents before, but she thinks it would be a bad time now as it is obviously a sad subject.
Note to self. Ask about parents, when time is right. Thinks Willow.
“Oh, by the way, how can there be a kitten in the middle of the woods?” asks Willow.
“Oh, there is a cabin right at the other side, but no body lives there. Maybe there could be a stray cat with kittens in there. Or some really bad person dumped it,” says Tara, a sad expression on her face.
“So do you wanna watch TV?” asks Tara, trying to avoid sadness.
“Oh, it’s ok. I was wondering if we could listen to some music or something?”
“Yeah sure. I think his music is over by the CD player over there,” says Tara pointing too large sounds system.
“Wow, he sure likes his music!” she replies walking over to the large collection of CDs.
“Yep, sure does! Find any you like?” asks Tara, still huddled on the sofa.
“Yeah, I have. I hope you like it,” says Willow inserting a CD into the machine.
The first notes of music play and Willow walks over and sits next to Tara.
“This song reminds me of you, especially your eyes. Blue,” smiles Willow as they kiss.
I have always wondered
How it can be done, to pick the one
Who’s gonna be my lover for life, my baby
Be there to hold me, through the night
When it happens, you can see it in there eyes
They tell no lies, brighter then the sky in July, my baby
Cooler than anyone I’ve ever known. While the song plays the two of them are getting very comfortable on the sofa. Their kisses are passionate and loving.
The colour of blue
Reminds me of you
I never see grey, green, black
You’re true
The colour of blue
No other will do
In my heart I only feel
The colour of blue“Do you like the song?” asks Willow breathlessly in-between the kisses.
“I defiantly do!” replies Tara grinning at Willow as they resume their actives!
I say, if you ever felt the way I do, then you’re lucky
So never go for less then a perfect thing
Seek and then you’ll find
There’s a rhythm and a rhyme, you’ve gotta find.
Then you’ll see
‘Cause baby, we can go all night, just dancing
Doin’ it till the break of dawn. The kisses are becoming more heated. The blanket covering the two of them is thrown off the sofa. They get into a comfortable position lying down, now warming themselves up.
In the rainbow I can see, colours of misbelief
There is only one for me, and it will forever be.
The colour of blue
Reminds me of you
I never see grey, green, black
You’re true
The colour of blue
No other will do
In my heart I only feel
The colour of blueThe song has come to the end and the pair continues to make out. The only thing that could possibly stop them would be if the phone were to ring. Surprise, surprise, it does!
Tara struggles underneath Willow, desperate to answer.
“Do you have to go?” pleads Willow.
“Yes! It could be anyone!” she replies and rushes over to the phone.
“Hello? Tara Maclay speaking,” she says.
“Mummy!” shouts a voice.
“Hey hello!” smiles Tara.
“It’s Holly!”
“Hiya, I can hear you’re doing fine,”
“Yeah. Oh hang on Emma wants to talk to you, hang on,” says Holly.
“Hi Mummy!” says Emma.
“Hello Em. Are you two ok?” asks Tara.
“Oh yeah. We’re fine. Having fun with Auntie Faith!”
“Oh good. Is she there? Can I speak to her?”
“Yeah hang on. Auntie Faith! Mummy’s on the phone!” shouts Emma.
“Oh here she is. Bye bye!” says Emma.
“Bye Sweetie,”
“Hi Tar,” says Faith.
“Hello. How are you?”
“Good. You know, these two wear you out, seriously!” she says.
“I know, tell me about it. Anyway how’d you know I was here?”
“Ah, Dave told me,” she replies “He said you were there with a friend of yours,”
“Yeah, Willow. We’re really good friends,”
“Oh yes, the one I met,”
“Well how’s Josh?”
“He’s ok. His dad’s teaching him how to control his powers. I think he’s doing pretty well,”
“That’s good, well nice to hear from you,” says Tara.
“Yeah the girls really wanted to speak to you. Well I’d better be off. Gotta cook some dinner. See ya then. Bye,”
“Yeah bye,” says Tara hanging up the phone.
“Who was that?” asks Willow as Tara walks back over.
“Oh that was Faith and Holly and Emma,” she replies sitting down next to Willow.
“So are they…” starts Willow.
She is cut off by Tara’s lips on hers. Willow and Tara can both tell tonight will be special.
