So...The gym I go to is run by our town council which is the third worst in the country. We also have one of the highest obesity rates in the country so you'd think they'd really be pushing the good people of the town to get their arses into the gym, but no. It was closed for the 22nd December till the 2nd January!!! So over the festive season I've done bugger all except eat, drink and entertain my partner's family (they stayed with us for 2 weeks).
Still I did well, I only put on 2 pounds.
So at the tail end of last week, when the gym finally opened, I did two marathon 2 hour workouts. I have a new regime: Running 30mins; work out shoulders, chest and arms, 60 reps each; cross trainer 15 mins; work out legs and abs 60 reps each.
yesterdayt the kickboxing gym opened again so I trained there for the first time in 2 weeks - they pushed us REALLY hard - we did fitness, 'the pyramid' which is a routine of jab, cross, round kick, overhand, hook, uppercut and lower evasion repeated 60,000000000000000000 times with speed and power followed by burpees and star jumps - phew...
Today I have circuits and tonight kickboxing. I want to increase my fitness dramtically - was thinking about starting running in the mornings (when the snow clears up). I want to have my first proper fight before April and we've been watching the 'Rocky' movies fthis week for inspiration
