Yup. Celebrations, collection of "angpow" (red packets with money) & visiting of relatives all happen within these 15 days. On the 9th day of the CNY it's a Festival of a god called "kow wong yeh", I'm not sure of what kinda god he is. Midnight tonight, there would be prayers or something to welcome and usher in the New Year, praying to a god "tien gong", I don't really know much about that either

bad me. On the final day of the CNY celebrations is the Chinese equavalent of Valentine's day. Young people and unmarried people(usually girls) throw mandarin oranges into the river and make a wish. Hoping to find a significant other. Story goes like the person down the river (usually boys) would pick an orange from the river. Whoever's name is on the orange would be the one meant for them. Corny... I'd take a boat and sit downstream with a net and fish out the oranges to sell back to those girls

it's a wonder why I don't have tons of girls running after me in lust.

She's the most amazing girl in the whole world. She's the only girl who makes my heart beat faster and slower at the same time. When I'm not with her, I'm not living. I'm not existing until I can hold her in my arms again.
