Prologue to Heart and Soul...
She was walking in a daze. Her mind kept running over what had just happened. She could not see anything save for those eyes...the most beautiful green she had ever seen. The hair...red...not just red, but more gorgeous than the captivating light of a fire. Her body had moved in slow motion, or was that just Tara's mind slowing everything down to make it last? The slender body of the green-eyed goddess had captivated her senses. The way she moved while fighting off those loathsome men was nothing short of amazing. "Wait a minute! I was just attacked by 3 horrible men talking about me in the most horrible and ludicrous ways and all I can think about is this gorgeous woman," Tara thought. She had never thought of anyone in a relationship manner or in a sexual way, but this red head had driven her loins wild and those green eyes had taken her heart. No wonder every date she had ever been on ended in disaster. Her heart was made for and will always belong to the woman in leather saving her life and sanity from those men. She now had a purpose and task...find the goddess of her heart and never leave her side.

Willow was perched on the roof of a building searching the streets for trouble. Her eyes her searching, but her mind was far away. Every night for as long as she could remember, she was fighting the fight that everyone else seemed so scared to face. She never understood their fear, for the worst that could happen, would be for her life to come to an end, which was never a fear to her. Death would bring an end to the pain that lurked in her heart. She had never seen a reason for life, but would never let the pain win by taking her own life. So she works every night on making the lives of others so much better and safer in hope that they will never feel this pain. However, something amazing had happened to her. Willow's pain had been all but disappeared when she looked into those amazing blue eyes. When she looked into those eyes, she had seen fear replaced by awe. At that point this damsel in distress had captured her soul. Something had driven Willow to leave before the girl could try to speak with her. The reason for this swift departure had been a mystery to Willow herself until this moment. She felt fear. For the first time in her life, she was afraid. She didn't want her pain to spread to this gorgeous woman whose blond hair captured the moonlight perfectly. Those blue eyes should always be full of happiness and bliss, not fear and pain. As much as Willow wanted to see her heart again, she knew she had to stay away to keep the blond safe and happy.
