Wow what an amazing story, i read all the updates today.
You actually made me cry with the part where Willow and Tara were talking to eachother through the door and Tara said she needed time.
You have made me smile when they took steps to getting closer and have made me feel really angsty with your nasty cliffhangers!!
Loved the notes in between posts, those were really sweet.

I can get into detail about all the updates and how great you wrote them all but i think it's all been said by my fellow kittens already. So far i am really enjoying this fic and i really hope you will not leave us hanging for too long before your next udate, cause that's just cruel ya know..

Hope for more soon!!!! And not just notes or kitty updates!

Seriously though, I can't really form the words to describe how much an update to this story would do as far as cheering up my psyche....it's been a bit of a year and fanfic is generally where I go for a "pick me up", so I have continued to randomly check back here to see if any more of Tues' brilliance has appeared in this thread......here's hoping for a Holiday Miracle!

Kitty rose from her perch on the arm of the sofa, stretched lazily and then sat up straight. She peered at Miss and the Cold One, who were staring at the strange box with moving shadows and hollow noises. It only mimicked real sounds. The window was certainly more interesting and Kitty could not understand what they found so intriguing about the box.


“Spike, that’s completely unrealistic! She nothing like a real witch, she’s so… so hokey.”

“Tabitha Lenox’s better than any real witch, present company excluded.”


Hopping down from her spot, Kitty twirled her tail up Miss’ legs.


“Plus they named her ‘Tabitha’, like there hasn’t already been a TV witch named ‘Tabitha’. And that doll-turned-boy-son thing, it’s just too… too creepy.”

“Come on now; don’t insult ‘Passions’. Best show ever.”


Kitty heard Miss’ chortle and purred in response hoping to be pet, but She stood up instead.


“Sorry Ms. Kitty I need a little tv-break. I’m getting some tea. Spike?”

“Got my blood. Ya’ got any biscuits tho’? Good for dunking.”


Miss raised her lip slightly just before She walked away and Kitty knew something must not taste very good. She chased after Her, but only made it part way into the kitchen before turning back to the living room. Instead Kitty decided keep the Cold One company. She stepped gingerly over the His boots to take a seat between His legs. Looking up at Him, she had come to the conclusion He wasn’t so bad after all.


“See, that’s Tabitha there and she’s good ‘n’ evil” the Cold One whispered.


When Miss and the Loud One were unaware, He often spoke to her and scratched under her collar, just as He was doing now. He rescued her once. But more importantly, Miss enjoyed his company—when Miss mewled or was hurt He did his best to soothe her like the Loud One.

He pulled away quick when Miss was heard moving near, His boot nudging her gently to move. “Go on, go on get.”

Kitty obligingly shifted over to sit midway between Miss and the Cold One.


“Cookies or crackers?”

“Cookie.”


She looked overhead as Miss passed a treat to the Cold One.


“You know, I think Ms. Kitty likes you.”

The Cold One snorted. “That one’s trouble. Can’t believe I had ta climb a tree just to fetch her.”


Miss Kitty licked her lips when He pointed a partially bitten bloodied treat at her.


“Maybe Demon-girl was right and you should have been a ‘tip’.”

“Spike!” Miss poked the Cold One playfully, but lovingly looked down at her and winked, “escape artist.”

“Shhh, ‘Passions’ back on.”


When the Cold One nodded at the box Kitty knew they would ignore her, so she casually lifted a paw. She turned it towards her face and her claws sprung open. It was time to do some grooming anyways.

When she was done Kitty tossed an indifferent glance at the box—definitely boring. After sufficiently cleaning her claws the window beckoned her. With sleek precision she leapt up and landed easily in place right on the ledge. Nudging her head between the heavy cloth drapes she parted the curtains. A ray of light shot past her shoulder.


“Oi Cat! It’s trying to kill me!”


Miss chuckled musically.

The Cold One didn’t like the sun, but it was almost dusk—night would come soon. She peered upward and around, but there were no fluttering birds about so her eyes fell downward to the movement below. The Loud One was outside; Kitty studied her in relation to the Boy-Man nearby. He was taller than the Loud One and had dark fur. His movements were awkward and oafish.

Kitty batted her tail against the glass pane; she turned her head quickly hearing a far off buzz. It usually led to the sound of footsteps outside and doors opening. The Boy-Man looked up at her just then, but Kitty leapt off the ledge. The Loud One’s clicking steps in the hall signaled her and she sauntered to the front door. It was customary to greet everyone at the entrance. Plus, interesting odors and sounds drifted in when the passageway was open.

Yay, Tues!!!! You just made my day! I love how you write Spike, being so sweet to Miss Kitty. I also think the point of view of the cat is an under-explored goldmine of possibilities, and you do it so well. I can't wait to see what news Xander and Anya bring with them, and hope Willow and Tara will hear some word about each other soon. I can't wait to see how Tara reacts when she realizes Willow's been looking everywhere for her. Great update, Tues! I love it!
