I'm a few days late but thanks to Owl's post I realized we just had the 5 year anniversary of the new board starting. It was such an improvement over ezboard, and 5 years later it's still awesome.

An amazing soul who I have the privilege of calling a friend said the most beautiful thing to me...that I am a Wounded Healer!

There is such a beautiful story behind that! It comes down to this:

In teaching others the healing arts, he found a measure of solace from his own pain.

The Wounded Healer understands what the patient feels because he has gone through the same pain.

The suffering patient can be cared for by the Healer and be instrumental in the Healer’s own healing.

I can't help but smile in knowing that! I have a broken heart and yet there is so much peace within me! I have been able to inspire happiness and smiles to people I don't even know. It's more significant to me cos it's not expected by the other person. When you know someone personally it's automatic that you laugh, smile and feel happy. When you are able to do all that for a complete stranger there is an overwhelming feeling of knowing you did something good for that person. Wow! As I write this I have this all over my face!

Damn! It's starting to sink in that I will be in Argentina 2 weeks from now! I can't believe I am going to be out there. Unbelievable! I'm in awe! One place that I will for sure visit is Iguazu Falls. Of course I will be staying in Buenos Aires. Then from Argentina I am going to visit a dear friend in Pittsburgh, USA. I have never been there either so this is going to be hella cool!

The interview's over... It didn't go as well as I would have liked and I probably didn't get the job, but I don't have to stress about it anymore and I am soooo relieved.

Today my lead teacher told me that when she retires in 5 years she wants me to take over the classroom I doubt it will really happen, I have to go find a new job soon and in 5 years she probably won't think as highly of me as she does now, plus I'll only have 7 years of experience which is way less than most of the lead teachers at my work, but it made me feel really good that she wants me to take over. She also let me do some of the evaluations for the kids, which she doesn't even let the assistant above me do. I really like feeling valued and appreciated. It makes me uncomfortable sometimes to have her tell me how great I am, cause I get embarrassed when I'm complimented, but it's also really nice to be told I'm doing a good job.

My supervisor called me today and almost begged me to stay in the finances department today. Apparently the department chief asked the vice president of the university to ask my supervisors to be the official stand-in for my boss
So, I'm going to stay there until July and I'm even allowed to sign papers. No apprentice in the history of the university was ever allowed to do this...

My class is officially over!! I made either a 99 or a 100, not that anything other than getting an A matters, so I'm pretty happy

It is so rewarding to have people that are always willing to go the extra mile for me. I don't have to ask for anything because people are so willing to give me whatever it is I need. It's automatic! I am so grateful for the trust, love and happiness people have for me. It reminds me that I must be doing something right.
