Summary: Willow is one of the hottest models in the world. When she comes home for her holiday, she meets a nice family that is new to Sunnydale. Can she find love, and continue her much loved career? This is an AU fic. There will be a little angst between some characters, but nothing big for I want to keep the angst issue light. ~Part 20a~“I would like thank the academy…” Hadley stood in front of the hall mirror in the loft’s hallway. She had her tiny robe on and held a bottle of syrup in her hand. Her mind decided to be very actively imaginative that morning. Pretending she was at the Fashion Awards, that she was Willow. “For this lovely…”
“Bottle of sweet goodness?” Willow said leaning up against the wall, watching the small girl make her ‘thank yous’.
Hadley giggled and turned to face the red head. “Do you think I could be a model?”
Willow pulled the ties on her robe tighter and smiled. “I think, Hadley Maria Maclay, that you can be anyone or anything you want to be.”
“Really?” Hadley said turning back to the mirror and fixed her hair. “Like you? I can be like you?”
“Do you really want to be like me?” Willow stood behind her, and fixed her own bed head hair.
“Yeah you’re beautiful and you found true love.” Hadley softly said wrapping her finger in her own curls.
“Well, you could easily be your mama as well. She’s all that and more.”
“I know, I want to be her when I grow up as well, can’t I be both? You said I could be anything I wanted to be.” Hadley bit her bottom lip and played with her own robe.
“And I meant it baby girl.” Willow smiled. “So, how about you and I cook up some yummy breakfast for mama.” She took her Hadley’s hand. “She’s still sleeping like a baby.”
Hadley burst into giggles, “She does drool a bit doesn’t she.”
“Hadley…” Willow teased. “Your mama doesn’t drool, not as much as Buffy…I mean Brady.” She grinned.
“What are we going to make?” Hadley asked hoping up on one stool, resting her chin in her hands.
“Pancakes or French toast…you pick.” Willow grabbed the milk, eggs and waited for Hadley to answer before grabbing the bread.
“Oh French toast madam.” Hadley squealed crawling up on the counter. “Did you know Buffy’s a great cuddler?”
Willow thought for a moment, “Yeah, this one time we went camping on our grade eleven outdoors trip. It was a very chilly night, and we both only brought one sleeping bag, so we decided to cuddle…very warm.”
“Mama’s better though, don’t you agree?”
“Yes…very warm and cuddly and soft…very…Care bear…OH, Tare bear.” Willow smiled. “That’s right, Tare Bear is soft, warm and cuddly.”
“Willow and mama up in a tree, K*I*S*S*I*N*G…” Hadley sang.
“First comes love, then comes marriage then comes baby Willow in a baby carriage.” Buffy sang sitting herself on top of the counter beside Hadley. “That’s how it goes right?” She smirked at the little girl. Then stopped when she saw Willow looking at her.
“Yes.” Hadley giggled. “Tori and Dawn up in a tree…”
“Don’t you even finish that.” Tori grumbled walking towards them. ‘Will, do you have any Tylenol? I have a major headache.”
“Maybe you should get some more sleep and less lip action.” Willow grinned and grabbed the medication tossing it to the not so grinning brunette. “Geez, what side of the bed did you wake up on.”
“The right side to be technical…but, you know, my little ‘red’ friend decided to visit me this fine weekend, and I can’t stand it when I’m not in a good mood, that just makes me crankier.” Tori frowned.
“A grumpy Aunt Tori is nobody’s friend.” Hadley said. “Don’t be mean to Dawn though…” She leaned over to whisper in Tori’s ear, “She probably trains with Buffy so having a Buff sister like Buff…hehe, Buff Buff...”
“I do have slayer hearing…” Buffy smiled at the two Maclay ladies. “And by the way Tor…the top couple of buttons on your top are undone…”
Tori looked down and blushed. “Wow…look at the time, I think Dawn’s calling m…no not Dawn, nature…yeah. Bye.”
“What is this? A family reunion in the kitchen at eight in the morning?” Xander walked out of his room with Anya right behind him.
“Yeah, and why weren’t we invited?” Anya said.
Willow managed to beat up the ingredients in the bowl without spilling or dropping it. “You guys…you weren’t supposed to be up so early.”
“Why is that?” Buffy asked.
“Because Willow and I were making breakfast for mama in bed.” Hadley smiled. “What can I do Willow?” She asked patiently.
“How about you pour the orange juice…carefully.” Willow pulled out three glasses and handed Hadley the juice container.
“Three?”
“Yeah, you me and mama…I set up a blanket on the floor in my room. We can have our own little mini-picnic.” Willow smiled messing up Hadley’s hair playfully. She would’ve made the picnic on the bed, but after last night? They’d never let Hadley sit on musky scented sheets.
“Yeah!” Hadley poured the juice carefully.
“What are we going to eat?” Buffy pouted. “A slayer needs her food remember?” She caught an evil glimpse in Willow’s eyes. “That’s no fair, you got some last night, you ate perfectly well.”
Hadley looked up at the grown-ups in confusion. “Got some what?”
“Um…some, cookies last night. She had cookies, and I didn’t.” Buffy covered up quickly.
“That’s not what you meant, you meant that Willow and Tara had lots of se…” Anya found her mouth being clamped by Willow’s hand once again.
Hadley scrunched up her face and shook her head, not really wanting to understand the adults right now. She saw her mama walk out of the bedroom, coming down the short hallway stairs. “Mama!” She jumped off the counter and flew into her mother’s arms.
“Hey my girl.” Tara picked her up hugging her tightly. “What are you doing up so early?”
Willow frowned when she heard and saw Tara. Her breakfast in ‘bed’ would no longer be a secret. She handed the French toast mix to Buffy and walked over to her lover. “Morning baby.” She laid a soft kiss on the blondes lips.
“Morning.” Tara grinned. “I missed our morning snuggles.”
“You’re Tare Bear.” Hadley blurted out.
Tara looked at her daughter quizzically. “Tare…?”
“Tare Bear…” Willow said smiling. “My Tare Bear, soft, cuddly and warm.”
“Oh…I love it.” Tara grinned and placed another kiss on Willow’s sweet lips.
“Willow…do you really expect me to know how to cook?” Buffy yelled from the kitchen.
