I went to the movies with an old friend tonight, we're not close like we used to be but it was nice to see her all the same, and Black Swan was amazing. Disturbing and creepy, but amazing. Plus I had yummy food and a milkshake!

Slowly getting better, having an ok day, ideas for drawings, not too much work... and her =D

And just like that... it's a different day. My wife. The same wife who wrote about and totally bitched about in the crappy feelings thread yesterday...

Today she:

1. Said I could go for a run after work since I stayed home this morning so the boy wouldn't wake her up. So I got to get in a 5 mile run in actual sunlight. Probably my first run in sunlight in over a month.

2. Made dinner. Mostly leftovers but delicious leftovers.

3. Not only said that I can/should get a smart phone which has been an ongoing discussion in our house but while I was driving home went online and found an offer for a free Samsung Vibrant which is supposed to be really great and I got to order it and it should be here in a few weeks! Yay! I'm finally getting a smart phone!

I've worked in daycares for most of the last two and a half years, but when I'm out in the world and see a cute kid (especially one that smiles at me) it gives me the warm and fuzzies and makes me feel optimistic about the world. These moments make me feel like I've really found my calling caring for little ones, which is a great feeling, especially at 21. There's a lot of shit I don't have figured out, but as long as I get to have kids in my life I know I'll be okay.

I'm in one of those really good moods where you wake up and realise its a new day full of new choices, new opportunities and the realisation of how lucky I am to be here with people who love and support me, a beautiful partner, money in my pocket and food in my belly. I'm very blessed and I try really hard not to take it for granted.

I had a good, semi-productive day, I walked a lot and there was a wonderful breeze for much of it, and I found super cheap shoes which I needed cause my old ones were falling apart, and then I had a nice evening with my mom. All in all a very pleasant day

Our fellow kitten nimloth (Vi) has just been given her permanent residency visa for Canada.

I'm deliriously happy for her and any of you who know of the difficulties faced being gay in a very traditional community like she lives in will join me in wishing her the very best and enjoy the fact that she is moving to a country where she can live her life the way she wants.

Congrats, Vi, and welcome to a new chapter in your true life!!!

Happy February everyone! Shortest month of the year, chock full of holidays and a gateway to spring. Love it. Looking forward to Groundhog Day tomorrow and Tet on Thursday, if only because they'll be something fun for my son to get excited about.
