Yeah, it’s my favorite JT… that little bit was all me and my little one:) I’ve been singing that song to her since she was a newborn. I changed the words until about a year ago when she asked me to start singing it properly. She said that she was “old enough” to hear about beer and women, lol. She still asks me to sing it to her when she can’t get to sleep and it works like a charm.Shel – First off, I love that song. It’s so sweet. How wonderful for Eli and Milo to sing it.
It was definitely time and I’m sure there will be more butting heads before the trip is over.I’m actually happy that Willow lost her temper at her mom.
It’s more that they are looking out for their baby sister. It’s like they are worried that Willow’s out of her league or maybe they just love her so much and want Tara to treat her well.
Yep, but what can you do? If she offered, I doubt he’d take it. But on the other hand, he accepts help from his parents. Definitely awkward. And here’s one of those things that’s got to be sort of awkward. I mean it sounds like a lot of Eli’s issues stem from making very little money. And then we have Tara who makes $14M+ a year.
It was all in the afternoon.Did they skip dinner entirely or was that in the “all afternoon
OUCH!!Sheila & Robby really need someone to shove a baseball bat up their ass sideways
I posted it in the morning. I don’t think our time zones are more than an hour difference? I’m in central. What’s yours? This was posted yesterday? How come I didn't see it this morning? Darn time difference!!
Sheila totally deserved what she got from Willow and more!I hate Sheila so much right now...I absolutely love the way Willow answered back though!
I’m sure they will eventually work it out, but it’s gonna take time.I hope Willow will find a way to make peace with her, only for her own sake. Living in anger and resentment is simply awful

I did think it was a great plan though!I see that my awesome plan for Tara to get rid of Robby by having a little conversation with him and possibly actually bribing him to get himself gone wouldn't have worked
Bahahahahaha…My new awesome plan is for Willow to get fed up with him and shout "I fucked your sister, alright? Now leave me alone!"
He was definitely complacent!I had hope for Robby that he was an innocent pawn, but no, he's a jerk.
Here’s another… “HELL YES!!” lolWill gets a Hell Yes for telling off her mother.
I’ve been in that type of situation before and it is most definitely not a fun place to be.Oh wow, Willow and Sheila's showdown even made ME uncomfortable, so I can't even imagine how Tara felt.
At that point Willow just needed some breathing room, I don’t think she’s ever really told her mother off before. Especially not in front of everyone. And yes, it would be nice if Ira spoke up…maybe he is behind the scenes??I felt so bad for Tara when Willow took off like that and left her in the room with those vultures, but I'm glad Eli talked to her.
I’m pretty sure this is what happens to child stars, Tara is lucky…she could have gone the Lindsey Lohan route, lol.She really did live a sheltered life growing up and missed so many of the little things that can be so much fun.
I promise much fun and shenanigans! Can't wait to see what happens at T-ball. lol
I can totally picture her stomping her foot too!Sheila’s reply is only hilarious because it is so ironic with her throwing her sad little fit.

Hmmmm....I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.Does this mean that at some point we’re going to see this alternative side to Sheila?

Me too…they’re a great bunch! BTW…Sheila hasn’t always been a bicth. Remember when Willow told Tara that they used to get along? I think they were close, then a lot of stuff happened. I think she doesn’t like not being in control and of losing her youngest child…kinda like empty nest syndrome.I do envy Willow and her siblings here in this story.
He is, but I’m sure he’ll have his moments coming up very soon…after all, he is 4;-)Milo is just as adorable and awesome here as he was in the previous chapter.
I kinda wish I had a copy of that one myself! This sounds like the most adorable photograph ever.

I think we need to give them some time and see how it all plays out. I think they are a little intimated by their mother. I’ve noticed that in large families, that sometimes the kids just sit back and allow their siblings to fight their own battles lest they get pulled into the fray. Parents are always telling the other kids, “Stay out of it, it’s none of your business,” so maybe their just conditioned? I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised in the end.Why doesn’t anyone in her family stand up for her?

Yes, I agree!! The true test of love!!!That is a very loooong time to spend with someone else’s family.
See comment above (HalfCamel)!!I am a little shocked that none of her siblings have said anything to Shelia about the way she is behaving.
She finally found her sea legs…so to speak! Doubtful that she’ll allow Sheila to bully her anymore.GLAD TO SEE WILLOW STAND UP TO SHEILA, and declare her heart AND call her mother on the B.S. that mumsie was trowelling out!
Hmm…maybe I sould let you write those scenes from now on, lol.can really picture the wind racing across her and drying the tears on her cheeks.
Thanks! I quite enjoy it myself!Wow, this has been quite the sweet story so far. I especially liked the moment where the title of the story was introduced.

Ahhh yes, but being an only does have it’s advantages! Remember, this is fiction…not all kids get along, lol.And I also enjoyed the interaction between the Rosenberg siblings. Stories like these make me wish I weren't an only child.
That seems to be the resounding comment in the freedback! I’m not sure things will drastically change, but I think Sheila will step back a bit, especially when she has a house full of guests for the holiday. I doubt she’ll have time to meddle, but you never know………Thank god Willow finally called her mom out on the BS. Not sure if it'll change Sheila's attitude but at least now she knows that Willow ain't gonna take it.
Wow, a 32 year old s’more virgin! Lol Ok, I can’t believe the size of those marshmallows! They started showing up in Walmart here earlier this year and all I could think was, “Wow, everything really IS bigger in Texas.”My brother-in-law had his first s'more last weekend.
I vote for Willow adorableness!Speaking of nephews, I love watching Willow interact with Milo. I'm not sure wich of them is more adorable.
Awww…THANKS!!!An all-around great chapter (when are they not great?)

I'm thinking they'll be seriously needing some alone time soon.

Sheila’s ears perked up, “Awards shows? Like the Oscars?”
There was a long sleeve shirt tied around her waist, but what really had Tara in a tizzy was the bottom half of Willow’s attire…short-shorts and cowboy boots; it was the hottest thing Tara had ever seen. She finally met Willow’s eyes and rewarded her with a sultry half smile, nearly melting Willow into a puddle.
“Yep, that’s our Willow! There is nothing in this world more important to her than those horses. She would never let anyone or anything come between her and her love for animals.” Sheila interrupted.
It’s not everyday you get to meet a big fancy movie star and I wanna make sure I got proof in case you screw things up and I never get to see her again
I figured they needed a little down time from family squabbles. Grayson is the oldest brother:)I like this update in a very calm, no fighting, friendly way. Willow is sweet. I really like the relationship she has with Hunter and Eli. Hell. I can't think of the other boy's name.
She’s doing her best to kind of sit back and take it all in stride. I suppose it helps that she’s an actress. I totally get the awkwardness of what to call people. I’ve certainly been there my self, albeit it was a very long time ago.Tara's lovely. She's doing a great job.
Yes, you are correct! Certifiable!Sheila is a crazy person.
LOL! Reminds me of a wav file I used to have, “Would you like to touch my monkey?”There's a line about Willow asking if Tara wants to see her medal that sounds to me like an old pervy artist asking a woman to come see his etchings. It cracked me up.
Hahaha…I’m picturing you sitting by the computer anxiously awaiting my update!"I hope for the sake of the whole world: this notification I got better be an update!"
I do too and I’m sure you have the same variation in your country as well. There are a few that always stand out: Southern (which includes Texas), northern and Midwestern. Everyone else just sounds “normal” LOLI especially like the different ways people talk. I guess it's especially interesting for me who has English as a second language to see the variation in dialect.
I have to admit that I’m not a 100% sure if it will work out before the end of the fic. Sheila is stubborn, although I think eventually she will come around, she doesn’t really have a choice in the matter.I am really curious how all this tension between Sheila and Willow will work out
Ahhh, Claire Danes…adorable and a great young actress: To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday, The Hours, Home for The Holidays…all great movies! The series was really good and ended way too soon:(I only know Claire Danes from Stardust, but I liked it a lot. I have never ever heard of the series before though.
I think they’ve talked so much about it that they are tired of discussing it, lol. They are both just dealing as best as possible.I hope that Willow & Tara talk about their strategy in dealing with the monster known as Sheila
I doubt she’ll do that, but he is still coming for Thanksgiving…..I truly truly hope that Sheila doesn't arrange another Robby ambush in the town
Me too! I’m missing my own fic!I have been in serious Racing withdrawal.
Indeed…I'm thinking they'll be seriously needing some alone time soon.
We haven’t heard too much from Ira, but maybe we will soon:)I'm really hoping Ira isn't whipped and that he stands up to her regarding how she treats the kids.
Thanks! I’m glad it had the desired effect:)The whole "Willow coming in after a ride" scene made me melt, your description was amazing!
Exactly, all Tara can do is grin and bear it. Fortunately for Tara, she has lot’s of experience with these type of people in Hollywood and knows that it’s a game to see who can outlast the other.I like this little piece that tells us something about Willow we never knew before. [/quoteWillow has all kinds of ‘special’ talents…wink, wink.
Willow has a great relationship with her brothers and Rachael too, but there is just something endearing when you see big brothers protecting their little sisters.
I kinda modeled Tara a little after Aly, you never see her with a ‘posse’ either. Although, they just may need one when they get back to LA.Thanks! When you love someone, you tend to take on their issues as well.I really like how Tara is worried about the relationship difficulties between Willow and her mom. Definitely got her sweet, caring nature down patTara also knows that they get to go back to LA…where there is NO Sheila:)Willow is worth any amount of crap she has to take off Sheila. Why do I get the feeling that Sheila’s about to change her mind over Willow and Tara’s relationshipWe’ll see…
Willow in Daisy Dukes, a tank and boots…I feel lightheaded just writing this!
Thanks for the feedback!
silent_x:Me too! I like the nice relaxing days much better:)I'm glad everything's a little calmer this morning,Yes, he is a good guy that loves his little sister. He just needs to grow up a little and realize that he needs to make a better living to adequately support his family.Your imagery at the beginning of the chapter was nice. I like Eli more every time we see him. He's a good guy.Uh, I’m right there with you. I have 6 books sitting on my noght stand that ‘I’m going to read,’ but then I think…. ‘Hmm, I’d rather read fan fic.’ LolI need to add 'learn to fold rose out of paper' to my list of things to do (right behind those three books I need to have read in a month. Curse addictive fanfiction)
LOL!! She’s something else, isn’t she? It's good to know that Sheila cares about the things that really matterUmmm…Indeed.Mmmm... Very nice, but I've still gotta say that tie from a long ways back still earns the 'Sexiest Willow-Attire' award in my mind.
Thanks for the feedback!!!
BeMyDeputy:
Yeah, in a slightly superficial kinda way. You wouldn’t be wrong if you accused Sheila of being shallow!Sounds like Tara may have found her way into Sheila's heart. No, not staying there. Although, I considered it and actually wrote a whole chapter with him running into Tara at the bathroom ‘the morning after’ the bon fire, but it was just too…I don’t know, soad operaish? It didn’t flow, so I scraped it.Where's fucko the asshole? Is he staying with the Rosenburgs, or just visiting during the day?
I like ‘loopy’ Katie!
Thanks for the feedback!
love_2003:
Thanks! Dealing Sheila is definitely confusing, she’s a pro at keeping you off balance.
Willow’s outfit….came from me drooling over Aly/Lily in short skirts and boots on HIMYM, lol. But I think my version of slightly butch Willow is MUCH better….*wink.*
Thanks for the feedback!
SMGOVAN:Yes you have…bad kitty!! It’s a good thing you have 9 lives:) So, I hope things are ok with you…I was starting to get worried.Okay, Ive been a bad kitten.
Hahahahaha…that would be funny!Shelia deserves to fall, face first, in a piping hot pile of horse shit!
I don’t think that Sheila realizes what a big deal Tara actually is. As in, “You may be someone in LA, but here you’re just like everyone else,” but she’s not and I think it’s starting to sink in.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you’re back!
wayland:Yes, Thanksgiving looms on the horizon. Hopefully, they’ll have a few days of peace…maybe, lol.It feels like a lull between storms. She knows Willow better than Willow thinks she does. Remember, they were close and the distance didn’t set in until Willow was around 17. Sheila knew and it scared her that her daughter might be gay, hence the wedge, etc.I like the way you show how, despite their differences, Sheila knows Willow well - even the identity of her celebrity crush. The way you write her passive aggressive barbs continues to impress me, I mean, that's horrible, but there's nothing overtly insulting in it, so there's no way to respond.

Anyway, I enjoyed writing this chapter and I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. Happy reading!
