A: actually "hello" is a contraction...it originated in the days when people were still honest...they'd answer the phone saying "Do I want to talk to you? Hell no!" but they found there were too many hang ups that way and Ma Bell was unhappy about not getting as big a cut on royalties so she took out a contract on the N and so we are left with "Hell-o"

A: In the Ancient Days, dogs had no hair on the end of their tails and the skin underneath was shiny and reflective as a mirror. Dogs, remembering the Ancient Days, look to their tails to see themselves, but unable to find a reflection they reach towards their tails to see what is wrong. They chase their tails in an attempt to reach the mirror that is long gone.

A: Because getting "walky noses" sounded too lazy in anatomy textbooks, so the editors decided to change the term in order to encourage physical activity and curb the rising obesity epidemic. The noses were never consulted as to their preferred term, and a PR nightmare was born. (P.S.--It's really late at night and that made sense to me, which should, in fact, frighten me).

In answer to your question, as I am feeling a little sick myself I can relate, my cat snuggled with me last night while I did some reading before a very early night and anyway, well they have a "owner is sick" chip in their brain which glows different colours as its sensitive to their owners mood and picks up on vibes, when we are sick it glows bright blue, when we are happy its green and when we are mad its red, for this case cats in particular are not colourblind.
