I'm sitting here at the dining room table and looking out the front window. My daughter is in the bed of my truck with some of her friends and there is a gaggle of pimply faced young boys on bicycles literally circling the wagon. They are in some sort of holding pattern as they ride in circles at the end of the driveway and all I hear is giggling coming from the truck. I already told her, no boys until you're 30, did she not take me seriously???

I just got home from a baby shower. Chiara went with me. I knew I would only know one person there (one of the moms) and I hadn't seen her in probably 12 years but we reconnected on facebook. So the party was almost entirely dykes. And I don't mean lesbians. I mean dykes. I got my hair cut 1/2 hour before the party (with a 1.5 guard) and probably had longer hair than at least 1/2 the people there. I think the person hosting must have been worried that she would never have a chance so we played every baby shower game ever. Chiara and I left at 4 (the shower was supposed to be 2-4) and they had opened like 4 out of 20 presents.
