TITLE: Time Slip

Time Slip



Part 18



“Oz, we have to find a place to lock you up!” Willow said, looking around.



They were near the edge of some woods, the town was off in the distance.



“We don’t have time,” Oz said, grimacing as his fingers elongated and his face grew hairy. “Run.”



“But, we have to do someth-“



“RUN!” Oz yelled.



Tara knew better than to ignore his warnings. She remembered what had happened at UC Sunnydale two years earlier. Only this time, there was no Initiative to save them.



Tara grabbed Willow’s hand and pulled her away. They were running towards the town as fast as they could.



Oz saw them run off, and he ran in the opposite direction, into the woods. He was trying to keep control until he had gotten far enough away.



Willow stumbled, but Tara caught her and they continued running.



* Oh, goddess. What are we going to do? Could anything else possibly go wrong?* Willow thought. Just then, she turned her ankle on a stone that jutted out of the dirt. “Ahh!” Willow cried out in pain.



Tara turned and saw what had happened. She hazarded a glance towards the woods and she saw Oz, in full wolf form, coming out of them.



She helped Willow up, but Willow couldn’t stay up.



“I can’t walk, baby.” Willow said.



* What do we do now?* Tara thought. Oz was gaining on them, and she couldn’t leave Willow. She muttered under her breath and Oz was thrown back.



“Come on, Will. Let’s go. That won’t hold him for long,” Tara reached to help Willow up.



“I can’t. You go ahead.” Willow replied.



Oz was up again. He was running towards them, and closing fast. One hundred yards were quickly cut to fifty.



Tara threw a barrier up around herself and Willow.



Oz reached the wall and rammed into it. He was thrown back, but the barrier was weakened.



He came at them again, and once more was thrown away.



Tara fell to her knees, weakened from the spell.



Willow looked at her love and did the only thing that she could.



She took Tara’s hand, intertwining their fingers. Tara looked at her and understood. They wouldn’t live unless Willow helped her. She looked at their hands, and then into the deep green of Willow’s eyes.



Willow nodded, almost imperceptibly.



The look was enough to tell Tara that it would be okay. Willow would be alright. She wasn’t technically casting anyway. It was just a transference of energy.



Tara nodded to Willow and Willow closed her eyes, concentrating.

**Blue77--Thanks for the feedback... but not everyone can update as much as i can, i mean look at my updates. they are extremely short. that's the only reason i update so often. drakkenfyre writes about 10,000 times better than me, that's why she doesn't update as often as i do. also, her poems have a ton more to them than my fic.

A great update ExtraFlameyWT! Yes indeed Tara doesn't need to be told twice to run from the wolf (funny thing experience teaches us). And Willow should of never thought what else bad could happen, because of course, that is just asking fate for bad luck (ie twisted ankle). Looking forward to see if and how the spell affects the trio, and anxiously awaiting the next update!

I agree btw Willow has completely redeemed herself, especially in Normal Again where her life with Xander and Dawn was seriously in danger and she didn't use magic.
