Seeing Bed

What Should Have Happened After Seeing Red

Description: Willow/Tara fic. A retelling of the episode Villains.

Disclaimer: The characters from Buffy are not mine, sadly. They belong to the good people at Fox, the WB, UPN and of course the God of all things Buffy, Joss Whedon.

Spoilers: Season Six, Seeing Red

Rated: PG-13

"Your shirt ..." Tara said, staring at the stain the covered her lover's heart. She never had time to realize that the blood was her own.

Willow caught her as she slumped to the ground. "Baby. Come on Baby!" she coaxed. There was no response. "Tara, oh God. Tara!" The red head screamed in fury at the injustice of it all. She felt the magic swelling within her.

She pushed the swell down, tears running down her cheeks. Her first had been to resurrect Tara. That thought was immediately followed by shame. How could she allow herself to plunge back into everything she had been against? How could she betray Tara's final wish? She nuzzled the fallen girl closer to her, praying that the warmth of her body would awaken that of her lover's. Her attempts were in vain. Willow rocked back and forth crying, lost in the depths of despair.

"Oh God." Willow looked up to find Anya staring at the blood-soaked couple in horror.

"Call an ambulance," the redhead ordered. "I can't .. I can't leave her."

Anya nodded in understanding. She picked up the phone. "Hello. No I will not be put on hold!" Unnoticed by Willow, she shot a bolt of power through the phone. "Send an ambulance. Two people have been shot."

"Two?" Willow asked. "I haven't been shot, this is just -"

"Buffy was hit. On the front lawn. By Warren."

A cold chill ran down Willow's spine. "Warren. Is he still...? Is she...?"

"He's gone, for now. Buffy's alive but barely. Xander's looking after her."

"Then why aren't you with them?"

"Because I didn't come here for that. I was called here by you."

Willow, traumatized as she was, could not possibly miss the implications of Anya's words. "You're a demon again." Anya nodded. "When?"

"When do you think? Right after the wedding that wasn't."

"And you can help me?"

"I can try. Your wish is my command."

Red hot anger sizzled at her very core. "Warren is going to pay dearly for what he did to us all. I wish his intestines would-"

"Willow!" Anya silenced. "Think carefully what you wish for. The wish can be anything. *Anything*. You're my friend, but I have to grant what you ask, even if you ask stupidly. However, if you were to make a more useful wish..."

It hit her then, the solution. Willow looked Anya in the eyes and clearly stated, "I wish Warren been caught and gone to jail last night with the others."

Anya smiled with relief. "Done."

The world swirled around Willow, who found herself sitting on her bed. Tara came in the door. "Things fall apart, they fall so hard."

Willow, wasting no time, went to her lover, holding the blonde's beautiful hands in hers. "Then we'll just have to put them together again." She kissed Tara.

Tara kissed her back, savoring each second, parting only long enough to catch her breath and ask, "How did you know?"

It was too difficult to explain, so Willow chose not to. She gave Tara a sly smile and led her to the bed, humming all the while "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes."

Xander: Buffy, this is all about fear. It's understandable, but you can't let it control you. 'Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to anger.' No wait, hold on. 'Fear leads to hate. Hate leads to the dark side.' Hold on, no, umm, 'First you get the women, then you get the money, then you...' okay, can we forget that?

Now, that's what I call an ending.

I don't see why Willow couldn't have made a wish instead of turning evil and killing Warren.

Tara: My heart doesn't stutter.

Tara: Willow, I got so lost.
Willow: I found you. I will always find you.

Willow: Hi, um Tara. I was wondering maybe you want to go out some time for coffee? food? Kisses and gay love?

Totally agree. Y'know, Joss is brilliant for creating the characters that we either love (Willow/Tara) or love to hate (the rest of 'em!), but sometimes he can be so dumb! Oh, I'm adding Anya to the list of characters I love cos she brought Tara back.

You ROCK, I LOVED the little fic. That is EXACTLY what I wanted to happen in the actual episode, but of course that would have been to smart of Mr. Wheadon to actually do, So he can go to hell and I love you.

:grin Much Love,

Absolute genius of a twist. If only the writers of BtVS and Joss is as intelligent as that. Everyone will be nice and happy, the season would be still angsty but not as terrible as everyone said. I haven't and refuse to dl and watch the season finale. Stupid Stupid ME!

Brilliant effort though!

WT moments

Postby Repost Moderator » Sun Dec 29, 2002 10:17 pm

Most of my fics have W/T moments, even if they are not the focus of the piece. So I thought my Kittens might enjoy these, without having to read through the non-W/T smoochy parts. I hope you like them!

This is from a B/S fic I wrote Buffyrella, and I thought you might enjoy. It's set at the beginning of season 2.

Willow approached the blond stranger, her stomach all rumbly with butterflies.

The shy blond, upon noticing her approach, tried to cover up for her longing glances.

"Hi, I'm Willow," the red head told her.

"T-tara," the blond answered. "That's a very p-pretty shirt you're wearing."

"You think so?" Willow asked. "You don't think it's too softer side of Sears?"

"No," Tara assured her. She took a moment to glance toward hr own top. "Sears is bad?"

"Not really, it's just something someone used to say. So, do you go to Sunnydale High? Because I haven't really seen you around her before."

"Yes. No. Not yet. I just transferred. You know, moved here." She gave Willow a shy little smile. "I start on Monday."

"Well that's great." An idea struck Willow. "Hey, I should give you a tour of the town. Y'know when it's light out. I can get you all oriented and into the Sunnydale groove." Groove? willow asked herself, since when did I turn into Austin Powers?

"I'd like that. We could scope out the S-sears," Tara suggested with a pinch of humor, "make sure the outfits there are safe for the general public to wear."

Willow grinned from ear to ear. "Most definitely."

And this one is from my B/X series When The Nice Guy Gets The Girl It deals with W/T in season six. The girls are on their way to making up.

Willow and Tara were talking over mochas.

“I've been great," Willow assured her. "Well not exactly great, but ok. I’ve been a little stressed with homework. You know, it was so much easier to mix academics with stopping evil in high school. Or maybe you wouldn’t know. I mean, you didn’t really start fighting evil until college, unless you did and I didn’t know about it in which case . . . I’m babbling, aren’t I?”

Tara smiled and nodded, taking a sip of her drink.

“Hey, you got a little something,” Willow said, rubbing a bit of whipped cream away from Tara’s beautiful lips with her fingers.

“Willow, are you ok?” Tara asked, suddenly concerned. “Your hand, it’s shaking.”

“Fine, fine. Just jittery. My heart’s beating all brrrrrr,” she said, making a sound like a drum roll.

“Me too. Must be all the caffeine,” Tara told her, with a wink.

She’s flirting with me, Willow thought. Oh goddess, I’m not sure don’t know if I’m strong enough for this yet! More then ever she longed make Tara float.

“Yeah. Bad coffee,” she scolded her drink, “making me all jumpy!”

That got a laugh from Tara. “Next time, we’ll have to get decaf.”

Next time? Tara had said next time!

“Most definitely,” Willow agreed. “So, how’s school been for you?”

Tara gave her a sweet smile. "Good, but lonely."

* * *

"So, walk you home?" Willow suggested after the caffeine-fest came to a halt.

"Sure," Tara told her.

Willow glanced at Tara's hand, unsure whether or not she should try and hold it. The blond must have sensed her dilemma, for she linked elbows with her, finding a happy medium.

The contact where their arms brushed against each other sent pleasant tingles up and down Willow's spine. They walked in silence towards Tara's apartment, enjoying the crisp might air and the moonlight.

"Well," Tara said at last, "This is me."

"We should do it, this, again sometime," Willow told her.

Tara gave her a little wink. "Sure." She fumbled with the lock to her door and was about go inside when Willow, on an impulse, grabbed Tara by the arm, pulling her in and kissing her passionately. Moments later she backed away, horrified at herself. She’d ruined everything. Now Tara would never be able to stay friends with her.

“I’m sorry Tara, so sorry,” Willow said. “I shouldn’t have-“

“I’m not sorry,” Tara told her, swooping in for another kiss.

Willow discovered the meaning of bliss. Bliss: a reconciliatory kiss with the woman of your dreams after an agonizing two-month separation.

"I'd invite you in," Tara explained, breathing heavily, but my roommate is there and ..."

"It's ok, I understand." Willow felt as if the life had been sucked out of her. So close, yet so...

"What do you say I walk *you* home this time?" Tara asked.

Willow was speechless, but Tara knew her answer was a resounding, 'Yes!'

* * *

Willow came down stairs in the morning to find Xander and Buffy eating breakfast.

"So," Xander asked pointedly, "have a good night?"

"Is it that obvious?" Willow responded.

"Will, you're positively beaming. You've got a grin plastered on your face like nothing I've ever seen," Buffy told her.

"That and the walls are on the thin side here," Xander added, "miss 'Oh Goddess!' this and 'Oh Goddess!' that."

Willow turned a shade of red to match her hair.

"So," Buffy wanted to know, "Who's the hot new girl?"

In answer to her question, Tara walked in fresh out of the shower, wrapped in a towel. "I used the last of your herbal essences Will, I hope you don't mind. If you want I could..." Tara realized that she and Willow were not alone. "Oh, hi guys." Tara's face in turn took on a red hue of it's own.

"So does this mean you two are..." Buffy let the question linger a while.

Willow looked to Tara hopefully. Tara took her lover's hand in hers. "Together? Yes it does."

Willow could stand it no longer. The joy of being together again. The sight of Tara in next to nothing, little droplets of water from her wet hair trailing slowly down her shoulders and trickling down between her beautiful breasts, was too much to take. Willow's lips found their way Tara's, while she ran her fingers through Tara's damp, blond strands. The towel threatened to fall, and Tara grasped it with her spare hand, barely keeping it closed.

"Whoa there girls. We're still sitting here," Buffy pointed out.

"Shh, don't interrupt them," Xander said, a little too interested for Buffy's taste. She elbowed him. He cringed. "Ow. Slayer strength."

"So," Willow said, reluctantly parting from her lover. "How are things in the land of Buffy and Xander?"

"We were sort of up all night too," Buffy told them.

Willow raised an eyebrow.

"Apocalypse stuff," the slayer further explained.

Tara and Willow were instantly on alert.

The Serious Side Effects Of Arm Stroking - a poem

Postby Repost Moderator » Sun Dec 29, 2002 10:18 pm

This is a short parody poem about the sensorship of Amber stroking Aly's arm in Seeing Red.

Little man censor sat alone in his chair,

Chopping up all the pretty things that were there.

"Pause, stop, delete!" he ordered with a shriek,

"There's arm stroking there, it might make people think!

Well we can't cut the rape cuz it furthers the plot.

Loves boring. Who cares is the lesbians get hot?

Speaking if plot,

Let's have someone get shot!"

He wonders who'd bring the needed ratings hike.

The solution hits him.

"By God I'm a genius. Let's kill the dyke!

Been looking to do something with them anyway,

They're happy, live and healthy, isn't that cliché if your gay?"

He steadies his finger, carefully points the gun,

Shoots Tara through the heart crying, "We're number one!"

The ratings come back. He just doesn't understand.

"What do you mean our viewers aren't members of the Klu Klux Klan?!"
