First Fic.....A Future Together

Ok Kittens, this is my first post after my introduction and my first fic, so be gentle with me. I'm new to BTVS, having only just discovered the magic this season. I've fallen in love with Willow and Tara (Aly and Amber, as well). So here goes...

Title: A Future Together

Email: Tiggrscorpio1117@aol.com
Feedback: Bring it on!
Distribution: Huh? Perhaps someone will be kind enough to explain this to me.
Spoilers: All episodes are fair game.
Pairing: W/T
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimers: Joss and Co. own all, I'm just borrowing.
Summary: W/T after they've gotten back together.

A Future Together - Part 1

The courtship began almost six months after their break-up. It started out very slowly. Some conversations between classes on campus and a few pleasantries exchanged after a Scooby meeting, soon became coffee at the Expresso Pump. Then it was lunch or possibly dinner. And if Willow was really lucky, it was dinner and a movie.

It was awkward at first, for both women. Refraining from touching someone you had known so intimately. But, in a way it was also nice. They had never really dated their first time around. Their reconnection held all the wonder of a new romance. The shy smiles. Sitting shoulder to shoulder in the darkened movie theater. And holding hands on the walk home. Their tentative first kiss was heightened by the fact that both women knew what it was going to feel like.

The first night they spent together was innocent, not sexual. They held each other, tightly. Taking comfort in the warmth and electricity their bodies provided each other. They belonged together. Neither woman could deny it. They were two halves of a whole being. And, when they did make love, it was more powerful than they had ever experienced before. Because now, their love making held the prospect of what they had almost lost and what they now held on to for dear life.

The trust was slowly being rebuilt. Willow had not cast in months. Each of the Scoobies made sure Tara was well aware of this fact. Even if they hadn't told her, she would have known. She could tell. Willow reclaimed her role as research gal. If the Scoobies needed magick, then Tara was called upon. The prospect that her greatest love may be forced to face grave danger, was agonizing for Willow. But, she was supportive. She knew it was important for Tara to have a place among the Scoobies. Her own place.

Tara had learned, during their separation, that she could stand on her own. She wasn't just Willow's girl, even if it was a title that she loved. She was her own woman. Strong. More confident than ever. With necessary skills and talents. And yes, Willow's girl. Always.

With each day, Tara saw 'her Willow' emerge more and more. The Willow she had fallen in love with. The Willow she was falling in love with again. It lightened her heart and gave her hope. Hope for a future. A future with Willow.

I think it's a good beginning and I am hoping to see more soon. That line above made me smile. It's heartening to know that Tara will always fall for 'her Willow.'

Though on another level, I do think that Tara could never totally stop loving Willow anyway.

Please continue, I'd really like to see where you take this.

A Future Together - Part 2

Willow paced nervously, back and forth, waiting for Tara to return from class. Tara's apartment was only five minutes from the campus, so she should have been home a half hour ago.

It was Tara's birthday. They decided to spend a quiet evening, at home, together. Willow had spent the day cleaning the apartment. Technically, she was still lving in the Summer's household, but for the past three months Willow had spent nearly every night at Tara's. She had finished making dinner. Now all she needed was her girl.

Willow continued to wear a hole in the rug, as she moved from the door to the window, every few seconds. She fingered the velvet pouch in her pocket, and thought about the last year of her life.

A year ago, Tara wasn't even speaking to her. She had walked out of Willow's life. Of their life, together. It was the kick in the ass that Willow needed, to finally get her act together. At first, Tara's departure had not even registered with Willow. But after her encounters with Rack and Dawn's accident, Willow knew she was in trouble. And she knew she was in even bigger trouble, when she realized Tara wasn't there to help her through this nightmare. Willow didn't know which was worse. The withdrawal pains from not using magick or the withdrawal pains of losing Tara.

She shuddered at the memory. It had taken six months to even engage Tara in a conversation, after those desperate times. And another six months to get to this moment. They were happy again. No, they were happier.

Willow was jolted from her thoughts, by the opening of the front door. 'She's here', Willow thought. And then, the butterflies hit her tummy and she suddenly felt panic-stricken.

Tara's eyes lit up when she saw Willow. A crooked smile crossed her face, as she observed Willow's gaze. It was a curious mixture of love, excitement and worry.

"Hi honey. What's up?" The blonde witch crossed the room and kissed her lover on the lips.

"Just waiting for you, baby. How's my birthday girl?" The redhead calmed down as she held Tara in her arms.

"I'm better now," Tara whispered against Willow's neck. She pulled back suddenly. "You made dinner." She smiled adoringly at Willow.

"Of course. I couldn't have my woman slaving over a hot stove on her special day." Willow grinned.

"You slaved over a hot stove?" Tara raised an eyebrow, doubtfully.

"Well okay...over a lukewarm microwave." Willow pouted, then brightened up. "But you'll love dessert."

"Is it birthday cake?"

"Now you ruined the surprise. At least you don't know what flavor it is."

"I bet its chocolate." Tara laughed.

"Tara," Willow whined. "Stop it. Just sit down and let me serve you."
_____________________________________________

After dinner they snuggled on the couch. Willow lay with her head on Tara's lap, while Tara ran her fingers through silky red locks. Willow held her own stomach and groaned.

"Aw, what's the matter, honey?" Tara asked softly.

"My tummy hurts," Willow complained.

"I told you not to eat that second piece of cake. Here, let me rub you tummy."

Tara moved her hand under Willow's shirt. Willow's groan, soon turned into moans of pleasure, as the electricity of Tara's touch seared through her body. She enjoyed the sensation for several minutes before sitting up to face Tara.

"You okay, baby?" Tara asked concerned.

"Yes. I want to give you your birthday present."

"Okay." Tara smiled.

Willow took Tara's hands in her own and lovingly looked into her blue eyes.

"First, I want to tell you a few things."

Willow took a deep breath and started.

"When we first met, I knew there was something special about you. I felt it, when you took my hand in that laundry room. And I've felt it every moment after that. I didn't really understand my feelings for you, at first, and they scared me. Because I've never felt this way about anyone. And when I realized you felt the same way, it was like sunshine and puppy dogs and well, all those good things."

Willow's eyes started to well up.

"And then I messed up. I did all those terrible things and I hurt you so badly."

Her tears fell freely now. Tara reached a hand up and brushed them away. Her own blue eyes began to tear. Willow continued.

"I never imagined I would cause you so much pain. And I've never been so afraid of having lost someone. And I know we've worked hard, the last six months. And you, you've been so open and forgiving and trusting. And, I know it wasn't easy for you. I recognize the risk you've taken and I'm in awe of how strong you are."

Willow felt herself falling into full babble mode. She pulled herself out quickly. She brushed a fallen tear from Tara's cheek and took another deep breath.

"You know, I always use way too many words to say what I want. What I mean is, I love you, Tara. I love you with my whole heart. With my whole body and with my whole soul."

Willow pulled the velvet pouch out of her pocket and kneeled on the floor in front of Tara. Tara let out a small gasp, when she realized what Willow was about to do. Willow took the ring out and held Tara's hand. Green eyes met blue ones and Willow took the leap. A leap that felt as scary and right for Willow, as the one Buffy had taken off the tower.

"Tara, I would be honored if you would consider becoming my wife."

Tara was speechless. Her throat had gone dry, but the tears flowed openly from her eyes.

"Oh Willow." Tara cried tears of joy. "Yes. Yes, I would love to be your wife."

She pulled the redhead into a scorching kiss, that left both women breathless afterward. Willow placed the small diamond on her fiance left hand. Tara held it up to admire it.

"It's beautiful Willow. Just like you."

They kissed again for several more minutes, before Tara suggested they move their celebration into the bedroom. Willow paused on their way there.

"I just have to make one phone call."

Tara wondered who she had to call, at this moment. Willow picked up the phone and dialed The Magic Box. Buffy answered.

"She said yes," Willow said, smiling at her new fiance.

Tara could hear Buffy's 'Woo Hoo' through the phone and the rest of the Scooby gangs cheers, as Buffy relayed the message.

"We'll see you tomorrow," Willow said, before hanging up the phone.

Tara led her into the bedroom. Willow smiled knowing she had a future. A future with Tara.

How delightful and beautiful and sweet. I always used to have an issue with W/T proposal scenes because I felt drowned in all the sugar but this one I liked.

About the diamonds..wouldn't be my style but it's neat. Also the part about Buffy and the gang was much appreciated. Just how real life is..your friends are backing you up especially when a scary thing like a proposal is coming up...Willow is such a brave girl! Who can cook also...slave over the hot stove. How cute.

A Future Together - Part 3

They decided to get married in the middle of April. The date was the anniversary of the first time they had made love. The next several months were spent planning and organizing the wedding. Of course, they also had to deal with the ever-present demonic forces of the Hellmouth.

Willow was in full hacker mode. Organizing timetables and guest lists on her lap top. She had calculated every last detail of the ceremony, down to the exact number of steps everyone should take down the aisle.

Tara was content to allow her lovable geek to compute to her hearts content. She focused on finding the perfect gown, for their special day.

Willow called her parents to fill them in on her exciting news. They had met Tara once, when Willow had brought her home for dinner. Sheila Rosenburg displayed her typical lack of interest, at her daughters news, by informing Willow that they would be out of town for her wedding. She ended the conversation wishing Willow good luck with Tammy. A few weeks later, she sent Willow a check, which covered most of the expenses for the wedding.

Tara called her father, but he was not home. She left a message, but he did not call her back. She was not surprised. She did not expect him to.
_____________________________________________

Willow had a big decision to make and it was making her brain hurt. She and Tara were lying in bed. Willow had her head on the blonde witches bare chest. She explained her dilemma to her future wife.

"So do I ask Buffy, my bestest friend in all the world, except for you of course my love, to be my maid of honor? Or, do I ask Xander, my oldest and dearest friend in all the world to be my...." she hesitated. "What do you call a male maid of honor? A man of honor? A lad of honor?"

Tara giggled and continued running her fingers through Willow's hair.

"Maybe he's just my best man. Goddess this is hard. I can't choose. What am I gonna do?" she pleaded.

"Why don't you compromise, Will? You could ask Buffy to be your maid of honor and you could ask Xander to give you away. A win-win situation."

Willow sat up and grinned at her future bride. "Goddess, you're brilliant. I love you. Thank you!" she said, planting kisses all over Tara's face.
_____________________________________________

Tara had called Mr. Giles and asked him to give her away. He was unbelievably touched and she could hear the emotion in his voice, when he accepted. He planned to return, the week before the wedding, to enjoy the pre-wedding festivities.

Tara asked Anya to be her maid of honor. The ex-demon was thrilled and took on her new assignment with an abundance of enthusiasm. She had a thousand questions, which she unloaded on the blonde witch, all at once. For just a moment, Tara regretted her decision. Then, she remembered how supportive Anya had been, during the break-up. Anya and Dawn had been the most persistent, in bringing Tara back into the Scooby gang. Anya had a softer side that she rarely showed to anyone, other than Xander or herself. It pleased Tara to know that Anya trusted her enough, to reveal her ever-blossoming human side.

As they shopped for a wedding dress, Anya was on a rampage about the bridal shower.

"So, are we all going to have to take a shower together? And, why is it only for girls? This isn't some kind of lesbian initiation thing, is it?"

Tara rolled her eyes. "It's not a real shower. It's a party. You play games and you bring presents for the bride, um brides, in this case."

"So, it's a present giving occasion, like birth. Do I have to buy each of you a present? That doesn't seem fair. Usually there's only one bride," she said peeved.

"You only have to buy one present," Tara sighed, continuing her search for the perfect dress.

"So, Buffy's also a maid of honor, do we each have to throw you guys a shower? Or can we have a community shower?"

"Whatever you want is fine with me, Anya."
She held up a gorgeous gown and asked, "What do you think?"

"You're gonna wear white?" Anya asked, pointedly.

Tara looked horror-stricken. "W-well Y-yes," Tara stammered. "W-why?"

"Okay by me," Anya shrugged her shoulders and continued flipping through the bridemaids dresses.

Thanks everyone, for the encouraging feedback. Here's part 4.

A Future Together - Part 4

It was a week before the wedding and Willow was a nervous wreck. Checking and re-checking her schedules to ensure everything happened according to her detailed plans. The church was booked, the minister was ready and the reception was set for The Bronze. All she needed was to make sure she and Tara were there.

"My dress doesn't fit." Dawn walked out from the training room at the Magic Box.

"What?" Willow shrieked, running over to the teen. "But it has to fit. We ordered it to fit. Why doesn't it fit?"

Dawn took a step back from the jittery redhead.

"Shh honey. It's all right," Tara said soothingly. She walked over to Dawn and eyed the problem. "It just needs to be taken in a little at the waist. I can fix it."

"Are you sure? Maybe we should take it back."

Tara led her back to her lap top and sat her down. "Don't worry, darling," she said, stroking her hair. "It will be okay. You go back to checking your lists."

"Okay, but I'm writing an angry letter to that store," Willow muttered, her attention now distracted by the seating arrangements for the rehearsal dinner.

"Come on Dawnie. Let's go fix that dress." Tara led the teen back to the training room.
_____________________________________________

Willow awoke on the morning of their wedding day, with her body blissfully entwined with Tara's. She watched her loves beautiful, peaceful face and realized how lucky she was to be able to wake up to this vision, every morning.

Tara's eyes fluttered and opened to welcome this special day. Beautiful green orbs came into focus and she smiled at Willow.

"Morning beautiful," Willow whispered, before placing a light kiss on Tara's full lips.

"Morning love." Tara nuzzled Willow's neck and teased. "What should we do today?"

Willow played along.

"Oh heck, I don't know. I was thinking, if you're not too busy, maybe you would meet me at the Sunnydale Church. You know, the one next to the park. Say around two o'clock, and maybe we could get married."

"Oh, two o'clock. That really doesn't work for me. Sorry." Tara tried to keep from giggling at Willow's mock outrage.

"Really," Willow smirked. She sat up and straddled the blonde's naked hips. "That's too bad. I guess I'm just gonna have to force you."

With that, Willow began to tickle Tara's sides and tummy. The blonde witch squirmed and squealed at her lovers torture, for several minutes, before yielding.

"Okay, okay," she panted. "I'll marry you, today at two o'clock."

"That's better." The redhead stopped the tickle fest. She leaned down to capture Tara's lips with her own.

"I love you, Willow."

"I love you too, baby. Forever."
_____________________________________________

Tara fixed her hair for the seventh time in the last five minutes.

"W-what t-time is it?" she asked Anya.

"It's thirty seconds from the last time you asked me. You need to calm down. You're making me nervous."

Mr. Giles walked into the small room in the back of the church. He stopped and smiled.

"Tara, you look stunning," he said.

"T-thank you, Mr. Giles."

"I think they're ready for us. Xander's just gone to check on Willow."

"Good." She took a deep breath and fixed her hair again.

Across the hall, in another waiting room, Buffy was doting all over Willow.

"You look beautiful, Will." She started to blubber. "I'm so happy for you. You and Tara have a miraculous love."

Dawn rolled her eyes at the slayer. Willow looked pale and felt like she was going to pass out. Suddenly, Xander burst through the door.

"Okay Willster, time to tie the knot."

His jaw dropped, when he saw Willow. "Wow Will, you look...amazingly beautiful." His mind raced back to a high school Homecoming Dance and he kept repeating in his mind - It's a clothes fluke. It's a clothes fluke.

"So, I'll meet ya at the back of the church," he said, backing out the door.

"Okay," Willow said mechanically.

"Ready, Will?" Buffy asked. "Let's go meet your bride."

Willow froze, unable to walk through the door.

"I can't"

A Future Together - Part 5

"What?" Buffy screeched. "What do you mean you can't?"

"I can't Buffy." Willow was on the verge of tears. "I don't deserve her. She's so special. She should be with someone better than me."

Across the hall, Tara was starting to worry. "Something's wrong." The blonde could sense it.

"I'm sure it's nothing important," Giles said calmly. "Just a last minute detail to be ironed out. It will all be right as rain, momentarily."

Tara's chin quivered, unconvinced. Giles wandered over to Anya and whispered softly. "Do go check on the delay...and hurry."

Anya passed Dawn, coming out of Willow's room. The teen slid into the last pew, next to Spike.

"Bloody hell, what's taking so damn long? I can't sit in this torture chamber for much longer." Spike shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Willow's wiggin," the teen explained. "Stop complaining. I know you're as excited as the rest of us."

"It's about time red and her bird finally came to their senses. True love is very rare." He thought of the slayer and he knew in his unbeating heart she would never feel that way about him.

Back in Willow's room, Buffy was hugging her best friend. "Will, you're just nervous. Once you see Tara it will be okay. I'm sure she has butterflies too."

Willow pulled out of the embrace and paced anxiously. "They're not butterflies Buffy, they're bats. Maybe its just not supposed to happen. Otherwise, I would feel more sure."

"Will, listen to me. You worked so hard to re-build your relationship. You can do this. You guys belong together. You know it. I know it. And Tara knows it."

Anya burst into the room. "What's the hold up? There's a blonde wicca in the next room getting very impatient."

"Willow has cold feet," the slayer explained.

"So put on some warm socks and lets go," Anya said annoyed.

"Not actual cold feet." Buffy rolled her eyes. "Oh, never mind." She turned back towards her best friend.

"Willow, if you don't get out there, right now, I'm gonna kick your ass," Buffy said seriously.

"Yeah, me too." Anya added helpfully.

Xander came through the door. "Hey gang! Did someone call an impromptu Scooby meeting, before the nuptials?" he teased.

"Willow can't leave the room on account of being frigid," Anya said.

With a look of utter confusion, Xander said,
"Okay, what?"

Buffy gave Anya a death stare and then turned back to Xander.

"Willow's having second thoughts."

Xander went over to his oldest and dearest friend. "What's up Will?"

"Xander I can't. I'm not good enough for her." Willow's voice trembled.

"Piffle," he said. "Will, you're one of the greatest people I know. She's going to be very lucky to spend the rest of her life with you."

Willow looked at him worried, tugging on her fingers. "What if I can't make her happy?"

Xander grabbed the redhead by her shoulders.

"Do you love her, Will?"

"With my whole heart," she nodded.

"That's all that matters. Because she loves you the same way. Everything else will fall into place."

Willow grinned and hugged her dear friend tightly. "Thank you, Xander. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"You can't have Xander," Anya piped up.

Willow laughed. "That's okay. Tara is the only one I need. She's my everything."

Willow hugged Buffy and walked through the door toward her future. A future together.

A Future Together - Part 6

Buffy was right. One look at Tara was all Willow needed. She watched the blonde walk down the aisle towards her, their eyes locked on each other.

Tara held on to Giles' arm in a death grip, for fear of tripping. All eyes on her, as they were now, still made the shy witch uncomfortable. Willow smiled. Her girl had grown into a strong, confident woman. But Willow loved that she could still catch a glimpse of the innocent wicca, who so long ago, pledged to be just hers.

And so they stood before their friends. No, these people were their family. Made more special, by the fact that they had all chosen each other to be a family. Willow and Tara vowed their love for each other. Forever and always!
_____________________________________________

Willow held the voluptuous blonde in her arms. Their bodies molded together, as they swayed to the music of their song. She kissed Tara's neck, before pulling back to gaze into her magnificent blue eyes.

Tara smiled. "So Anya told me someone had cold feet," she said, staring into her loves emerald eyes.

The green orbs darted nervously back and forth, before returning to Tara's questioning blue ones.

"Yeah," she said anxiously. "Buffy was really nervous about walking down the aisle."

"Was she now?" Tara smirked knowingly.

"Big time." Willow cracked under Tara's loving, but stern gaze. "Except it wasn't really Buffy. It was me. But not that I didn't want to. Because I did. I do. I think I said I do. Didn't I? But just for a second, I..."

Willow's babble was muted by the blonde's lips, pressing against her own, into a long deep kiss. A kiss that turned into several more kisses. Breathless after parting, Willow rested her forehead against Tara's.

"I just want to make you happy, baby."

"You do, my love. You do."
_____________________________________________

"Okay ladies, it's garter time." Xander rubbed his hands together excitedly. "So, which one of you sexy wiccas is wearing the thing?"

"I bet it's Tara. Willow seems much more the butch." Anya said bluntly.

Willow's eyes threw daggers at the ex-demon. She wondered how Anya could be so irritating, so self-serving and more importantly, so right.

Willow sat her wife down in the chair and kneeled in front of her. She lifted Tara's gown, but was careful not to reveal too much of the overly shy witch's legs. She began to remove the garter from Tara's thigh, but was stopped by Xander.

"Ah Will, you're supposed to do that with your teeth," he reminded her.

Tara's eyes widened at the thought. Willow gave her a reassuring look. Then, she leanded forward and aptly removed the garter, to the sounds of cheering from the crowd. When she looked up at Tara, the blonde was smiling but blushing from head to toe.

Tara and Willow made their way up, on to the stage, to thrown the bouquet and garter. With her back to the crowd of women, Anya made sure Tara knew where she was standing.

"To your right, about three feet," the ex-demon screamed.

Anya was all set to nab the prize, but she was no match for slayer speed. Buffy swooped in and snatched the bouquet, in one swift motion.

"Xander," Anya whined. "She took my flowers."

"That's okay honey," he comforted her. "I'll get her back by snagging the garter."

"Okay," she agreed. Then it dawned on her that he would get to put the garter on Buffy. "Hey," she shouted, punching him on the arm.

Willow launched the garter. It veered off away from the crowd, causing a mob of men and a few interested lesbians, to dive for the treasure. When they reached the bottom of the pile, everyone was shocked to see the platinum haired vampire, holding the satin item.

"Oh that's just great," Buffy groaned.

"What?" he looked at her innocently.

"If you try anything funny, I'll dust you right here," the slayer warned, pulling Mr. Pointy out of her sleeve.

"Bloody hell, woman." He jumped back. "Put that thing away."

With Mr. Pointy safely tucked back in her sleeve, he knelt down and chastely placed the garter on Buffy's thigh, savoring the moment.
_____________________________________________

Willow held the passenger door open for her wife.

"Xander wanted to decorate your car with condoms, but I told him no," Anya explained. "What do lesbians need with condoms anyway?"

"Thank you, Anya." Tara said graciously, getting into the car.

"Besides, condoms are expensive," Anya continued, "and Xander and I need them."

"An," Xander interrupted. "Quiet time, please."

They drove off waving to their friends. They were only heading across town to Tara's apartment. They planned on leaving for their honeymoon the next day. But the excitement they both felt, could hardly be contained. It was the beginning of their future together.

A Future Together - Part 7

Wishing to spend every moment of their reception with their friends, the witches spent their wedding night in Sunnydate at Tara's apartment. Well, it started out as Tara's apartment, but for some time now it had been Tara's and Willow's place.

Both women agreed it would be better not to move back into the Summer's house. Buffy would have the opportunity to re-connect with Dawn. To establish a more parental role in the teenager's life. As strong as Tara's maternal instincts were for Dawn, she felt it was equally as important for Buffy to fill this role in Dawn's world. Besides, she was never more than ten minutes away if Dawnie needed her.

The apartment also gave Willow and Tara some much needed privacy. Since their reconciliation, their lovemaking had intensified immensely. Their wedding night would be no exception.

Willow unlocked the apartment and pushed the front door open. Tara moved past her, to enter the apartment, but was stopped by Willow's arm.

"Aren't I supposed to carry you across the threshold?" she asked.

"Honey, I think you might need slayer strength to do that," the blonde gave her smaller wife her best lop-sided grin.

"I'd carry you all the way to the Big Pineapple and back, baby." Willow replied lovingly.

She was rewarded with a smoldering kiss.

"A new tradition. Smoochies across the threshold." Willow grinned.

"Works for me." Tara smiled back, closing the door.

Inside, Willow held the blonde in her arms.

"Good wedding?"

"Best wedding!" Tara kissed her again.

"Ready for a better wedding night?" Willow gave Tara her most seductive glance.

"I'm always ready for you, darling." Tara kissed her more passionately.

Willow led her bride into their bedroom. Tara gasped when Willow turned on the light. The bed was turned down and completely covered in rose petals. She looked at Willow.

"When did you do all this?"

"Xander slipped out during the reception," she said, going over to the nightstand to light the extra flamey candle.

"It's lovely." Tara said softly.

Willow lit a few more candles throughout the room and then turned off the light.

"You're lovely," she said, returning to her brides side.

Willow tucked a strand of blonde hair behind Tara's ear and leaned in to place soft butterfly kisses on her cheek.

"Mmmm," Tara sighed contentedly. "I really love being Mrs. Tara Maclay-Rosenburg."

"And I really love you being Mrs. Tara Maclay-Rosenburg," she said, nibbling on her ear lobe.

Willow began unbuttoning her brides gown. It was a pleasurably slow process, as fingers were halted to move up into blonde hair, pulling Tara deeper into kisses over and over again. With the buttons unfastened, Willow ran her fingertips up and down her lovers spine, sending shivers throughout Tara's body and igniting the flame in her burning center.

Willow took a step back to pull the gown forward, down her loves arms and let it fall to the floor. She helped Tara step out of the gown and stood back to admire the curvaceous blonde, now clad only in a bra and panties.

"My Tara." The redhead smiled. "For better or worse."

"For richer, for poorer. In sickness and in health," Tara added.

Willow frowned. She thought of Buffy. She was responsible for bringing her back and for all the consequences that came with that.

"Death doesn't always part us on the Hellmouth, does it?"

"Shh." Tara placed a finger on her lovers lips to silence her sad words. "Tonight is about new beginnings. It's about life. The beginning of our very long lives. Yours and mine. We will grow old together. I won't have it any other way."

Tara unzipped Willow's gown and watched it drop swiftly down her brides slim body. She smiled a wicked grin and raised an eyebrow, when she noticed the blue garter on Willow's slender thigh.

"You vixen." Tara laughed softly.

"You didn't think you were gonna be the only one to enjoy that ritual, did you?" Willow's eyes danced mischieviously. "Let's see, if I remember correctly, you are required to remove it with your teeth."

Tara knelt down before the redhead. She first removed Willow's gown from around her ankles to avoid any potential tripping hazards. Sunnydale Emergency Room was not where she wanted to spend her wedding night. Then, she leaned in and lightly kissed all over Willow's tummy. Her hands moved around and under Willow's panties to cup her ass. Willow's hands nestled in her loves hair, as the electricity of skin on skin flowed through both of them.

Tara kissed her way down to Willow's thigh, just above the garter. She kissed all above and below the item, before moving to Willow's inner thigh, desperately close to Willow's now throbbing center. Tara inhaled her lovers scent and felt her own longing between her legs.

"Goddess, Tara." Willow whispered.

Tara achingly moved back to the garter and clasped the satin treasure between her teeth. She pulled the item down, stopping to pay worship to Willowknee and Willowcalf, before ultimately reaching Willowfoot.

Willow lifted her leg so Tara could remove the garment completely. Tara sat back on her heels, with said item still clenched between her teeth. Unable to wait any longer, Willow pulled Tara up and gently removed the garter from her teeth. She flung it across the room.

"Clothes off...now," Willow directed.

**After tonight's postings regarding Amber's weight, I feel it necessary to make a notation regarding my line about Willow needing slayer strength to carry Tara across the threshold. In no way was this an attack on Tara's weight. I am strongly in the camp of those who believe Amber/Tara are perfect just as they are. So great was my concern, that I actually thought of removing the line. It should be taken in the context that Willow is simply smaller and not very muscular. If the line still offends, I offer my humble apologies. I hope it does not keep anyone from reading the conclusion of this fic.

Very good story. Sooo Sweet. Too bad I doubt it would happen on the show. Maybe a series finale thing?!?
There was more crap posted about Amber's weight? Where and when was this? Another board I presume. I'd like to know what the hell is wrong with the world when a woman of 5'4" and 118lb. is called fat. Especially when, outside of Hollywood, the average woman is a size 12.

Never Mind, I found it. I'll add my 2 cents and also say that that's crap.

Some really sensual stuff here; and I'm not offended at all, I mean, it's clear that Willow's teeny tiny whilst Tara is slightly less teeny tiny...oh you know what I mean.
