Happy Valentines Day everyone, I wonder what Tara and Willow would organise for each other for this day?

Although it has been grossly commercialised, I still celebrate this day with my beloved because I feel its a day simply devoted to us, our relationship, not either one of us but us as a whole....

What have the kittens organised for their special person?

I've organised a single stem rose in a vase in a box, together with very cute bear and card to be delivered to her work place in an hour, she got chocolates and a watch this morning and we are going out tonight ( don't know our plans as of yet)

Valentines day isn't such a big deal here, but I did manage to get a card a few years ago. It was from a guy, too bad he wasn't cute.
I think WT will probably be too -uhm- occupied the entire day to give each other gifts of the material kind.

I like valentine's day! It's an excuse to eat a lot of chocolate (not that I don't do that anyway) and pamper your significant other with fun things. I don't care if it's become a commercial holiday, I'm baking my girlfriend a bunch of heart-themes goodies so we can have a nice romantic candlelit night with sticky sweets, champagne and lots of cuddling and ... other things.

I've been baking all night, and my apartment smells like chocolate.

Ah yes... Valentine's Day... It's gonna be one to remember.

1. I threw in my resignation letter today. I'm officially jobless but I'm working on my own private freelance practice.

2. I've got a sweetie... who's probably gonna celebrate a belated V-day with me in the summer.

I was talking with the clerk at a Hallmark store the other day - she expects about 500 men to drop in after work today to look for something at the last moment.

I made reservations at my wife's favourite restaurant a month ago, and I picked up a couple of things I know she'll like. It's not that big a production, though I do think it'll be a nice day.

Unrealistic Expectations and others, I hear ya and can relate to being alone on V day..The thing i try to think about is my folks, they are still very much in love and i know they aways do something special for each other, even after 51 years of marriage..

My mom broke off an engagement to marry my dad, i love the way they still hold hands and still tell each other "i love you" every day..They are opposites, but soulmates in the real sense of the word...Happy V day Mom and Dad

so far it's been a nice valentine's day for me, mostly because my third interview for a new job offer i really want went well and my gf's best friend called to let me know my presents for her have arrived at her work and as soon as she arrives apparently the envious teasing of her shall begin.

i never much cared for valentine's day no matter what my dating status at the time was but i'm actually liking it this year despite having a long distance relationship, because of the fact it's the first time i have a gf who has the same exact attitude about it as i do. she really doesn't give a crap and it makes the entire day actually fun instead of some horrible ancient torture device.

my only hope is that when/if her present to me arrives today she didn't get a brain fart and send me flowers. hell, i sent her a nontraditional basket of six jet li kung fu movies, a big bag of airheads, and a romantic card featuring a scantily clad brigitte nielsen as red sonja brandishing a shiny sword on the cover.

that deserves some props, doesn't it? lol.

Well, Patty and I have always tried to do something nice for Valentine's Day since our anniversary is February 15. Kind of a two-for-one holiday special. We really wanted to go away this year, but, alas, that didn't work out. We're going to just have some fun at home, I guess. We purchased some new things to help with our fun and are very much looking forward to christening these fun new things over the weekend. We also have lots of our favorite wine on hand and, of course, some chocolate.

We're also going to go and register our partnership tonight at the local lgbt community center. They are kicking off the first registry in the Metro Detroit area this weekend and, even though it obviously means nothing legally, we thought, "Why not?" We've been together for seven years and it might as well be written down somewhere (until we make it to Vermont) that, once upon a time, Amy and Patty lived and loved.

So, anyway, Happy Valentine's Day to all.

My sweetie and I have been out all day, I booked the day off work. We are doubly celebrating, first the romance of the day, we suitably got each other cards and cuddlies! There's something that screams romance when you get a pig that wears a jumper saying "Piggin' love you!" But we're also celebrating that one year ago on this date my partner was told she could stay in the UK as my legal partner. So we went out in the freezing cold weather, had a meal out and then I took her to a nursery where she plant shopped. I would have prefered Toys R Us but I was being good today!!
