Well, it's monday. What kinds of crazy things are you kittens up to today? For me it's school, and then more job hunting for a second job.

Also, whats the funniest thing that has ever made you late for work? An excuse that absolutly no one would believe?


What kinds of things would make Willow and Tara's monday crazy? A late lazy morning of lovemaking slow, sweet kitten-style, or just to many women in one house, ie: Dawn, Buffy, Willow and Tara all fighting over the shower?

well, it's monday evening here - and I'm dreading tomorrow morning. I have a job interview for a job which probably would be my worst nightmare, and to make matters worse, it is a "group interview" - with half an hour or so of roleplay.
I don't think I can put into words how much I hate roleplaying....but it's about time I cut my summer "holiday" short, and went back to work.

As for my funniest excuse for being late to work....I had to ring my team leader, to tell her I was going to be late because there was a spider in the shower. Now, I have pretty extreme arachnaphobia - and there was a HUGE spider sitting by the drain. We'd only just moved down to Wellington, and I'd never seen a spider quite that large before - I'm sure that we didn't have that type further north (although, by international standards, it probably wasn't that big).
So, I'd had a bit of a freak out, and wouldn't go near the bathroom until it had been completely checked over for other creepy crawlies.
Of course, once I'd got to work, I had to endure the humiliation of my entire team finding out why I was late.

Tomorrow (starting as it does for me at 12:30 ) is going to be a busy day- not only do I have a whole one class to go to (the not busy part of the day- Spanish Lit.!), but I'm going to my friend's family's house for dinner and attending a panel discussion on LGBT issues at my college... the key question, though, is this: Will I miss Joe Millionaire?

By the way, congrats to the Bucs for the big Super Bowl win, and kudos to the Raiders for (finally!) making it interesting... I didn't watch the darn thing to see failed lip-synching at the halftime show! -Nora

Well, I plan to sleep for most of the day, since I haven't gone to bed yet (310am here) and maybe get a haircut. The only time I've been late to work is when I just won't get myself out of bed..just five more minutes. Not really funny.

Well its approaching Tuesday morning here and its been a long weekend for us in Australia....

I can't say I've chucked a sickie with any good excuses I must admit, just the usual you know, feeling ill, fluey that sort of thing.

Can't say I've ever really been late to work either except for traffic, I know I know I'm boring.

I was late for classes at univerisity because of racquetball. I and my partner had finished playing, and I grabbed the door handle, which came off in my hand. It was an old-style court, concrete all around and just a little window in the door. It took awhile before someone even noticed we were in trouble, then they had to get someone to open the door.

The late for work story involves my car. I had to call work and tell them I had locked the keys to my car in the car, while it was running. I had to wait for the tow truck, yadda, yadda.

Well, I am dreading going to work today. Today kicks off the week long inspection of my hospital by two different agencies. So, any kittens who work in healthcare know that different agencies mean different expectations. So, we will be trying to please everyone this week. This is the time I am regretting being in management. I'm not so good butt kissing.
Ugghhh....hell week for me.

Hmmm...no good late to work stories.

As far as W/T...Willow racing around afraid she would be late for her big Final Exam. And Tara being playful by hiding Willow's bookbag with all her study necessities, just to watch Willow freak out in her adorable way.

Coincidentally, it was a really manic Monday for me today.

I arrived in to work to find that the only other reporter due in with me today had phoned in sick. Bone idleness and a hangover never make for a good combination when expecting him in on a Monday morning

Of course, he would pick the Monday when we have a dramatic blazing house rescue and a gynaecologist getting struck off the medical register for misconduct. And an attempted murder. And a knife attack.

So yeah. Manic. But actually kinda fun

I was really expecting a bad day today, because last night I got a phone call from my boss saying someone had phoned in saying that they weren't going to be in today & they had some urgent work that needed doing on monday so could I cancel my day off.

At first I was rather pissed off, then I was told that all they wanted me to do was drive to Manchester conduct a few audits then do the same in Liverpool on tuesday. So I went into work this morning to collect the info and my boss presented me with a laptop so I can surf the web whilst enjoying the home comforts of a travel inn in Wigan, well actually I think the real reason I got the laptop was to email back my reports straight away but hey.

So all in all I've had a not so manic monday, plus I discovered that the TATU single has the video on it, that'll keep me ammused for a good few hours.

well, it's 1:30 on monday and since it's intersession between semesters right now, i just got out of bed about an hour ago. i don't have anything whatsoever planned for today except to watch some movies i rented with a friend. and maybe bake some peanut butter chocolate chip cupcakes or make a nice yummy bean stew or something like that. yeah. i kinda like to cook.

i can't stay up too late today though, i have appointments tomorrow for my second foray into egg donation. different state than the last time i did it, so the whole process has been a little different! this time i'll get to know if the recipients even get pregnant. i don't know if the recipients did last time. so there could be a bunch of little half-Las running around Illinois somewhere and I will never even know.

as for excuses for being late: at high school once, i locked my keys in the car at one school when i only had 15 minutes to get to my class at the other high school in the district (i traveled between two schools for different classes) and my mom had to drive all the way out with a spare set of keys. Even better, 4 of my friends were with me, so we were all late. We got excused though!
Then another time there was a big storm and our electricity went out. I couldn't get the car out of the garage until I figured out how to manually release the garage door, which took a while since we had a very old garage door system! So I was late.

The only reason I'm ever late for work is traffic, although when I'm late is does tend to be big style. A couple of times my normal 45min journey has taken 5 hours, which is fine until you start thinking about the bathroom

A manic monday eh? My days always seem to jeer at me waving the "hey today just might be your crazy day when all hell breaks loose"... today, we were waiting for the pre-emt of all hell - yes its politics ("bit o politics - bit o' politics" Ben Elton). Waiting to get all the news edited and broadcasted at the right time.... but them UN blokes take aaaages to tell us weather they are going to try to Kick Saddams ass or what?! I swear i must have seen 20 mins of them people chatting - la la laaaaa - before some speaker dude picked up that mallet thing and got them in order (he should have malleted a few people on the head in Timmy Mallet styleeee!)
So yeah waiting for that to happen with the inevitable Transmission time getting closer and closerrrrrrr - its the story of my life!
I wonder what will happen in tomorrow...

Well my monday started with the cat shattering the window in which the cat-flap was. and ended with me playing one of the worst pool matches I can remember. The middle of my day wasn't pretty with blood shed of very nice but dim colleagues. But, as ever, sport presents me with two highlights that just brings a glimmer of happiness to the perfect crappy monday. United getting Arsenal and Stoke getting Chelsea. As you say, interesting.

yeah, well today for me was one of those maniac days at school. I swear, I may be the highlighted topic of discussion at my school because I'm a lesbian, but if one more damn person comes up and asks, I swear I'm gonna flip out on them. everyday more and more people keep on asking. it's like, geeeeeeez, get over it! I think the problem would stop if I had a "I'm a lesbian" tattoo on my forehead, or if I walked around in my lesbian shirt everyday. thanks to yana for that help

okay so on top of that, I get my honor band scores back, and wow, I did better than I thought. 27 points higher than last year, I moved up 3 chairs in my section, and I am the 27th best clarinet player in the whole district out of about 70. so go me! lol even if I didn't make it, I'm still proud of my accomplishments.

Thursday is my manic day. Monday isn't usually too bad. It starts slowly, then gets crazy at around dinner time. So, today I had time for coffee and lunch with GF, then a workout. Now I have to contemplate going to work, then coming home and doing my taxes. (And everyone else's.<g>) So, I'll be working from five PM to whenever. But at least I can work on tax returns while sitting in front of the TV with the cat in my lap.

I think Willow would wake up on a Monday thinking, "School day. Yes!" But, right before hopping out of bed, she'd remember the beautiful woman lying beside her. And, taking Tara into her arms for just a little more cuddling, she'd congratulate herself on having had the foresight to schedule only afternoon classes on Mondays.

I usually hate Mondays.

But not today, for today my laptop came back to me, upgraded and better, and my boss asked me if I wanted to spend some major /$ on equipment, after griping for about 5 years that I never got anything.

And tomorrow, I'm going to ask for more.

Today was my first day back at classes for Spring semester here at college. It was a rather hectic day getting books and finding out where classes were. In the end classes went well but interacting with my roommate among my friends made for a rather hilarious dinner.

Jen: Rosalie, why does your pudding say 'gluten free'?
Rosalie: 'cuz it has no gluten! You know 'cuz the gluten can go straight through to your glute! (laughter ensued)
Gluten:a tenacious elastic protein substance especially of wheat flour that gives cohesiveness to dough

Also my roommate was wearing a bright pink jacket and a bright pink hat her boyfriend bought her that had cat ears on it! People kept staring at her. One of our friends thought she was a bunny another thought she was a wolf (when have you ever heard of a pink wolf?) In the end our RA (Resident Assistant) approached me and was like "Are those ears on her hat?" and I was like "Yeah, she's not a bunny nor a wolf she's a cat!" My RA shook her head in shame lol. We have a buliding meeting in our dorm tonight and then a floor meeting and we threatened to put the hat on our RA during it if the meeting went too long. She promised that the meeting would be short enough so we couldn't get the chance to put the hat on her head!

All in all today was definitely full of laughter and many good things!

at age 93.

The most traumatic part for his family was getting him into the coffin...They put his left leg in... and then the trouble started.

Well today was pretty good for a monday. Testing going on at school, and since I had no exams today...no school for me

So I'll report on the good part of my day...Pony sledding! I went to my friends house with her boyfriend. We hitched the sled up to one of the ponies, and went sledding around her land. I had no idea ponies could do donuts! We did quickly travel inside for hot chocolate though...it was way too cold out today. brr..

I was home from school again today because i was sick to my stomach. Food tastes better going down. I've missed a hell of a lot of school. I think I have a real problem with my stomach. I might have an ulcer or something. Eh, gross. Have a good day all.

My morning started out at nine below zero... now that's fahrenheit, not celcius... (that's about 23 below zero celcius) and there's always the early morning "can you sub for this high school english teacher today???" phone call at 6 am!!

and subbing, there weren't any terrible kids, just students that didn't want to study!! (now there's a concept!!) but it was an easy day... and they pay me for it. which helps with the living, eating & breathing parts of life..

Skittles, right there with you. Though we were only -20 C. Supposed to "warm" up to -10C. Good lord, it actually feels like I live in Canada, after so many really warm and snowless(read: overcast, rainy, damp and ugly) winters, it's kinda nice for a change.

Right, it's Monday, and I've lost my mind. Industry is slow right now, so I have lots of (some would say too much) time on my hands.
