Here in the middle of Germany we had minus 20 temperatures and lots of snow last week. So much snow I hoped school would be cancelled, but, darn those efficient Germans, all the public transport ran on time and none of the roads were blocked.

Now, it's warmer and the snow has melted, and the world looks a crappy brown colour because of all the grit left on the roads. And it's windy, so it feels so much colder.

Need more snow.

Boston's pretty chilly, but it's warmer today than it has been. I don't know what the exact temps are, and I'm too lazy to look them up, but snow doesn't seem to be melting too much, so i guess it must be right around, or below freezing

Hopefully we'll get some more snow soon. I like snow. It's purty.

Hello Everyone.
The weatherman says that tomorrow is supposed to be the coldest day of the year. Is it just me or is the year only 17 days new? That leaves 348 days to beat it. Its supposed to be 5 below zero with the wind chill making it -20. So when I get home from work tomorrow, I'll be putting my pajamas on and curling up back under the covers and hopefully staying there until I have to leave for work on Monday morning.

I hope everyone else stays warm.

The temp here in Toronto is -17c with windchill and it's going down. Now that the sun has gone down it feels like the dark side of the moon out there, only with air to breathe. And buildings and stuff. But no people, cos they are all smart enough to be inside snuggling. SoCal really does sound good today.

ok... so michigan isn't as cold as canada or some other places, but it supposed to go down to -3 F ( -20 C ) and even dreaming of Ruth, (pleasant though that might be) isn't going to keep me warm tonight... darnit!! Arrghhh!!!

well, I live in PA and we get really cold winters. We got about 1-2 inches of snow last night.

To keep warm I usually drink hot cocoa. There is this new cocoa called Cocoa and Cream and its sooo good. And then I snuggle with my dog and my kitty to keep warm too. Thank goodness for fluffy pups.

I live in a town south of Boston, and I cant remember it ever being this cold. We got about an inch of snow last night, and tonite is the coldest its been since January 2000. All next week is going to be brutal, because Its going to get even worse they said! Ahh! Although I did love having the white christmas here! That was some really good snow on Christmas night!

I was in Southern Ontario today (Windsor) and it was COLD! Stupid arctic air mass hanging around making things miserable; the only saving grace was that the sun was out. At least there wasnt any snow accompanying it, so it could be worse, I suppose. I just had a cup of hot chocolate and took a nice warm bath when I got home. And yes, Skittles, Michigan is cold enough for me right now. I do hope you find something to keep you warm tonight.

well you would think that TX would be nice and warm. well me and everyone else was wrong. i hate saying i was wrong. grrr. i'm freezing my buttie off. this morning it was 26 i thought i was going to die. so i wore 3 shirts a hoodie and a big jacket a beanie and gloves. i was all taosty and warm. only thing missinbg was my baby. i miss her!

Well...no one's mentioned the Pacific NW so far, and Washington state isn't known for it's sunshine. We have apples and volcanoes, the odd earthquake, a giant hypodermic needle with a restaurant at the top that sways in high wind and awful lot of trees.

Oh yeah, we've got Bill Gates, Starbucks, and some of the most polluted coastline in the country. But what we really have an abundance of is

RAIN.

We are wet. We are cold...and yet we still wear our Doc Marten sandals without socks in the snow.

It's beautiful here. Come to Washington. We'd really love to have you....because, y'know, more people makes more warmth and we need all the warm bodies we can get.

Actually we have had pretty good weather for the Pacific NW so far this winter, compared to past ones anyway. I've been able to go for walks downtown Seattle during lunch and enjoy the sunshine! I'm sure it won't last though, so I'm enjoying it while possible.

I love it out here. I'm from the midwest, Missouri Ozarks and St. Louis. Maybe that's why I love it out here so much! Been out here for a dozen years or so. I love the mountains and the ocean and the rain forests. Did you see the sunrise yesterday? Gorgeous.

I'm along with you on the cold front and the chicago land lord bit. My landlord has the heating device on a f*ng timer and it only goes on at certain times, no matter how cold.

The gale force winds are still with us here in the north east.

Yesterday was a nightmare as half of the roads round here were closed because of the bloody wind and it took twice as long to get where you needed to be.

In my case this was Macclesfield. Which is on the other side of the country but it shouldn't take 5 hours to get there and nearly 6 hours to get back. I can tell you I was popular at work not getting back till 6.20pm on a friday night.

By cold mornings i mean a low of 46, so probably when I go to work it's 50. It's cooling down though, high tomorrow will be 71.
