It's 'How do you Choose yours' Weekend MKF 11/01/03

Hehe, I'm so happy that I just have to post this:

I was out with my girls (9 to 11 years) today, coz they had to play 2 matches (I'm their coach). When we arrived a very good team was playing and beating another team up.
After that match ours started and we played a horrible match and we lost 2-4. I yelled a bit and told them that if we didn't play better, then the good team would kick our butt.
Then in the break between the matches, one of the parents told the girls, that if we won, he would give us all a weekend in Lalandia (which is a big water/amusementpark), and the girls got all exited.
Then the match started and they played fantastic, absolutely brilliant. They were good to each other and play as well as I know they can. Unfortunately we weren't lucky with the referee and in other critical situations, so we lost 8-6.
The girls were all down, but then the parent said that because the played so well, he would give us it anyway. Imagine the look on their faces. Hehe, so now I'm a happy and a very proud coach.

I didn;t realise it was in Guildford, that's like 10 mins up the road from me, and knowing the quality of the nightlife there I'm not surprised it ended in a fight

Well, for those who can remember back several months, I had a great kick-ass Melaka Fray avatar for a good while; but then got me really pissed off, and I wasn't as enthused about his comic anymore.

I was admittedly lost as to where to go from there. I was reading over some old Faithfic at the time, I think, and in musing over the general hotness that is Eliza Dushku, I hunted down some choice poses of Eliza and/or Faith, and the montage you see at left was born.

As for my sig, I'm a sucker for a good quote. Whenever the one I've got is getting old and I see one that's real zippy (and not taken), bam, in it goes.

And if I can't find something more in context, I drag out the old standby:

My siggy...well the first being a quote i heard once a long long long time ago, and for some reason I havent forgotten it. It just sort of stuf..and it seems so beautiful to me. The second being a quote from my fav pre-Tara episode of buffy....I Only Have Eyes For You *sigh* I'f theres one couple I think always belongs together besides Willow and Tara...its Buffy and Angel...sorry...hate me all you want..*sigh* must appeal to my forbidden love side. ah well

I like poetic sigs and have had a few different ones. I usually change them when I think I need a change & I have the time to change it. And tonight, I decided to change it. Appropriately, I think.

I chose my avatar because someone I simply adore took the photo, and I love how Amber looks at my posts as if they're a little insane... like any of my posts would ever be insane. But it also reminds me of the Sidewalk Film Festival ... and that can only lead to good things.

The sig evolved from a drunken evening with some friends. We were trying to come up with a funny message for my friend's answering machine and it just came running head-first from my mouth. I was thinking about that crazy show on Discovery about the mole/bird thingys. What were they called again? Skeenks or something?
