Who on the boards has had a internet love? Did you meet the person face to face? Did your form a lasting relationship? Have got a success story or was it all a disaster? Have any of you Kittens met through these boards and are open to Chat about you Kitty founded love?

I did not meet my love on the internet, but have met a lot of good friends. In fact a lot of people I consider to be my best friends live hundreds of miles from me. Hmm...maybe that says something about me.

Two of my best friends from since forever live far away and all you seem to live some where else as well.

So the computer has really replaced the phone in my mind as my prime communications device.

I'm very grateful to have met some amazing friends through the internet. I never expected that in a million years when I first went online. I figured I'd find some good recipes, window shop a little... That sort of thing. But I was so wrong. Hooray for that!

I don't have an internet love, but I have many friends that I care very much about.

A quick subject change - is anyone else watching the SciFi Channel's Spielberg miniseries Taken? It's pretty good - and I hear it's drawing a bitter audience than Firefly, even though it's on a niche-market cable network.

Anyway, last night's episode featured the birth of baby Allie, who is somehow at the center of the entire story. Allie's parents don't know each other in their regular lives, at least not yet - they were abducted and brought together by aliens. When Allie's mother Lisa discovers that she's pregnant, her mother comes to visit her, accompanied by Lisa's "best friend for life," a young woman named Nina. Well, then we fast-forward to the time for Allie to be born, and Nina's still there! And as they rush Lisa into the delivery room, Nina's holding on to her hand in a way that I couldn't help noticing. Fast-forward again to three years later, and Nina is still there! Now they're at some aquarium type place with three-year-old Allie, and as I watched I couldn't help thinking...

Allie has two mommies!!!

Did anyone else notice this? Or is it just me?

I don't know if they're ever going to come out and say that Lisa and Nina are involved. Maybe they aren't, and I was just imagining things. I think it's pretty much a given that Lisa and Allie's father will get together eventually, but maybe Lisa's bisexual. It's possible, isn't it? In any event, it's one more thing to watch out for as the story goes on.

BBOvenGuy, along with my housemate, I've been taken away by Taken since last week. As for Allie has two mommies, I thought the same thing. I'm not sure what to make of it. I don't often project subtext, so I'm thinking it has something to do with the way the two characters are seen together and the way Nina carries herself (or maybe its the dolphins). I would be astonished if the Nina and Lisa were made into a couple. I keep thinking Lisa and character played by "actor who played the poophead who broke Buffy's heart in Season 4" will eventually get together.

Ohhh... so that's where I've seen him! I knew he looked familiar. In fact, for a split second I thought it was Nick Brendon when he first appeared on the screen.

And yes, I think it's inevitable that Lisa and Charlie will get together - especially since the official Taken website lists Allie as "Allie Keys," not "Allie Clarke" - Charlie's last name, not Lisa's.

But like I said, that doesn't mean Lisa can't be bisexual - whether or not they'd show that, though, is another story.

I met my gf in a yahoo chat room 2 1/2 years ago. We've been going strong ever since the day we met and connected. We been living together for 2 years now and I can honestly say it is the best relationship I have ever been in.

Ah Thats lovely SlayerSydney I'm a sucker for sweet love stories.
I met my Last Grrlfriend on the net we went out for a long time, it didn't work out because of a distance thing and we didn't get to see each other enough but we have a fantastic friendship now that I think will last, I also have some great net friends who I have never met but it feels like I have. So although it didn't last I'd still say it was a success story. The internet is a wonderful thing-I'll never get over that

My gf and I did not meet over the internet. In fact, I've met very few people on the internet. I guess I am just too shy, I can open up to people much easier in person. But I am trying to get over that and that is part of the reason why I am posting this right now.

Hey Well, looks like I beat Karen to it lol.... I have had two online girlfriends. One was Jenna, a girl from Canada. We were very in love. Or so it seemed. Things did not work out. She left me last month for another girl. They are engaged *both only 16 years old* and are moving in together in 3 weeks. Its been hard getting over it, but, with the help of my new love, Karen *mocha fiend 22* It's been a whole lot easier. I met Karebear here on the kitten at the end of Sept. She was with me thru everything that was happening with Jenna. And Karen makes me feel so much happier than I ever was with Jenna. She has never hurt me, and I trust that she never will. I love her with my whole entire heart, and the most wonderful feeling, is knowing that she feels the same way about me. Anyway, thats my story...I LOVE YOU KAREN, NOW FOREVER AND ALWAYS!

Well, i met my girl, on the net, through willow and tara around 2 years ago. I was looking for someone to talk to about them (hadn't found this place then) and bam, she was there. We started talking and soon enough were talking everyday..... i remember one time when we talk for 13 hours straight (no pun intended ). Anyway, eventually we got our feelings out in the open.... *sigh* best day of my life, and we've been together ever since. It will be 18 months on friday We are yet to meet face to face (i live in the UK and she's in Canada), but i know the wait will be worth it.
