I love Funyons and boiled peanuts (being a "typical" southerner, mind you).

What kinds of snack foods do [b:a9c8fafdf0] you[/b:a9c8fafdf0] love? What snacks do you think Willow and Tara love?

Better yet, I wonder if they ever get the munchies. And why, of course...

BISCUITS!

Popeye's biscuits are like communion for me. Seriously. When I was on the ordination track, I took a vow that my congregation would never suffer through pastey wafers that stick to the roof of your mouth. Only Popeye's biscuits for my congregation. Hmmm, yummy.

As for Willow and Tara, I think they would have an embarassing fascination with Hostess Snoballs -- like jiggly wiggly boobs and all. :D

Oh, and have I mentioned Jam Tarts?

Oh, God. This thread makes me nostalgic for my twenties, when I could eat anything and everything without gaining an ounce. Now, it's workout or else.

Tortilla chips with salsa, chile con queso, or guacamole.
Beef, turkey, or fish jerky
Popcorn
Pepperidge Farm Parmesan Goldfish
Eggrolls
Potstickers
Bagels with lox
Hush puppies (it's the Southern blood showing up)
Antipasto
Kalamata Olives
Jalapeno sourdough bread
Dove Bars
Krispy Creme Donuts
Crab Cakes
Oreo Cookies

Somehow, I think Willow and Tara have a healthier diet than I do. Tara seems too protective of Willow to allow her to go anywhere near junk food. They probably snack on cut up veggies.

Ah munchies, my list includes doritios (I can't just seem to have only one), love cheese nachos with salsa, chocolate chip cookies, popcorn, all kinds of bread (especially sourdough), potato chips with onion dip, and strawberry twizzlers (I probably could go on, but those are my first munchies choices).

As for W&T have to agree with Wiccallusion "each other" would of course be first choice :grin , but in the food variety I say peanuts, wafers, and popcorn.

Well whenever my sister asks me to babysit my nephew and niece she stocks up on goodies for me. My favourite is probably Cadbury's Buttons. I'm a cheap babysitter aren't I? [img:aa875174a7]http://homepage.eircom.net/~mollyig/redspin.gif[/img:aa875174a7]

Got to be biscuits! I got some "Buffy Cookies" yesterday from Asda. They had cranberries inside, and were a lovely taste. Trouble is, I am allergic to just about everything under the sun so I am sneezing my head off now! That will teach me! The sticker had Buffy on (and some other character I won't mention because he ticks me off! Some vampire something!) Guess I will have to steer clear of those but they were good while they lasted. Snacking on rice cakes is not fun! Even if they are one of the few things I don't sneeze at! Ugh!!

Regular cheddar goldfish.
Although I might be being influenced by the best jingle ever. " The snack that smiles back until you bite thier little heads off."
Nachos. With sour cream, picante, hot sauce, taco meat, refried beans and a side of Mylanta.
Tuxedo cookies (a generic brand of Oreos only 5000 times better) dipped in 2% milk.

Postby oneyedchicklet » Fri Oct 18, 2002 1:25 am

Ok first let me say that my Baby is away for the next week. :cry . I have no one to snuggle with for the next 7 days. She's been gone for only 4 hours and I am so lonely and depressed. How will I get through the next 7 days? As always, I'll come to the Board for some gay love and support and my daily laughs.

Anyway, snack food...now I could be obscene and say I love to snack on my Girl, but I'm sure Ruth, Julia or RG will take care of the saying something perverted that will make us all smile. So I'll go with Tortilla chips dipped in Jack Daniels Barbeque Sauce. Just make sure you have a big glass of something to wash it down and cool your mouth. If you haven't tried it, I highly reccommend it.

Ok, the first part of that last paragraph makes me miss my girl even more now.

Love to All,
Barb

Yeah yeah, at least you have a girl to miss. Bah. I'm all grumpy now.

Snacks...well, I'm a big fan of crisps. Quavers pretty much win out with me. Although Walkers Cheese and Onion are like, the best. And I know we've had this conversation before so I'll just leave it at that. ;)

There's a food called a "quaver"? Heh. I like quivers with my snacks sometimes, but... a quaver. That's new and interesting. Trust the British. Is it some kind of cracker?

I gotta go with guacamole and chips as my all time favorite snack. And also 100 grand candy bars and red vines that are just old enough to be more chewy than the way they come fresh, TGIFriday's brand potato skins, and those new cereal bars with "milk" icing in flavors like Chex and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Heh. I make really good deviled eggs, too. And chili cheese dip, which is basically a package of cream cheese cut into chunks and nuked with a can of Denison's chili and mixed up until it's all the same consistency. It's awesome with tortilla chips and fritos. Actually, it would probably be good with pretty much anything. Ooh, and Ben&Jerry's. It's all about the Phish Food, baby. And freshly made tortillas.

God, I could go on for days. I think food is the only thing I can talk about as long as I can make cheap innuendos.

I have an almost overwhelming urge to lie and say that I like cut up carrots or sliced fruit or soy bean seeds or something.

But I'm not a good liar, so you would all see right through my cheap ploy anyway.

I like candy, like jellybeans and gumpdrops and swedish fish and other fruity chewy things.

And I really love chips. Sour cream and onion or cheese flavored.

I had a yogurt at work last week that someone else ate by accident. Then, a couple days ago I went and stole someone else's yogurt to make up for it (okay, see? I just lied...she said I could have it) but I took just one bite, and...it was bad yogurt. Ew.

i am well-versed in the joys of muchie food. :wink right now, my favorite seems to be raisins. or other dried fruit. smoothies are also great when you're hungry. cookies are the best though. something with chocolate. like pepperidge farm Milano cookies. I'm actually baking oatmeal raisin cranberry cookies right now. And my brother's girlfriend made cappucino chocolate cookies for me this weekend (they're visiting). Cheese. Cheese also makes for a good snack. chips and salsa too. or frozen blueberries. pretzels, especially the chocolate covered kind! mmmm, food. we need to have a favorite meal thread next (we probably have before, but we need another one)! :grin

and yet, no cheap innuendo for "munchies and funyons"? :hmm

[b:89287fb1da] RG[/b:89287fb1da]: biscuits, sure, but i'll take hush puppies over biscuits anytime. :drool when i was a starving exchange student in england i subsisted mostly on hobnobs and homewheats (plain, not milk) and the occasional cornish pastie or samosa for protein. very fond of chips and gravy, too, though back here in the states it's ketchup on mcdonald's fries without a doubt, which i'll gobble in record time at any hour of any day.

what else...when i lived in a co-op house in college we used to make quesadillas with lots of shredded cheddar and jack cheese, and a layer of plain ruffles potato chips in the middle (suprisingly tasty). cram sessions always went better with gummy bears (bite the heads off and stick 'em back together onto different colored bodies--entertaining!), gummy cola bottles, and starburst tropical fruit chews.

these days, my coworkers seem to have developed a fondness for white cheddar cheez-its and are also hopelessly addicted to the oatmeal-walnut-raisin cookies from trader joe's (druid circles, they call 'em. sooooooooooo good for a growly afternoon tummy).

huh. k, i need to go have breakfast now. :yawn

as for willow and tara, i think they probably enjoy... [b:89287fb1da] twinkies[/b:89287fb1da].

why, you ask? I'm sure RG and j-ho could fathom the answer to that...but for those with less naughty minds than us at this hour of the day: because it's fun to lick the cream out of the middle.

what? it [i:89287fb1da] is[/i:89287fb1da], don't you think? ;)

have a great day everyone!

~Novelty/petra

p.s. can i just say--this little guy? :sneeze just makes me giggle. although it's a shame you can't see his hair stand on end properly against this background. *shrug*

p.p.s. [b:89287fb1da] just in case my girl happens to be surfing the board today:[/b:89287fb1da] :wave hi baby. you rock. :grin and apropos of nothing, i love how you always run around to open doors for me. it's just one of those little things you do that always makes me smile 'cause it's so darn cute. miss you! :kiss

Thanks Warduke. I'm a doofus at times.

[b:afb5442155] My original post:-[/b:afb5442155]

I like raisins and cereal. As snack food - yes, I'm very peculiar. I assure you, though, CEREAL IS GOOD.

I especially like [b:afb5442155] Honey Cheerios[/b:afb5442155]. [i:afb5442155] (not sure if they stock them anywhere else but England - if that is so, HAH!)[/i:afb5442155]
Cereal bars are also very handy to carry around. Yes, I like cereal bars.

OK, so as a college student, I should know snack food! Personally, I go with pretzels or microwave popcorn when I just need like salty, munchy food. When I need something sweet, it's gotta be either Spree, or anything gummy. I like chocolate and all, but when you just need a sweet snack, I perfer the artificial fruit flavor!

Willow and Tara I gotta say would probably be chocolate gals. Not that the Twinkie idea is bad.... :grin

Snack food! Like pretzels, and cheerios, and teddy grahams, and mrs. fields cookies (they sell them individually in delis! Its like, insane!) and uhm... well, that's all I eat in the way of junk food? Wow.
One very important question: what exactly is a funyon? Inquiring minds want to know.

Willow and Tara... snack... obscenities have all already been dealt with... Tara would like something like that cheese popcorn, and Willow would rant about the evil that is cheese (oh wait, that's my hate. never mind)

Oh. My. God.

Petra. Those cookies from Trader Joes are so freaking good. I think that's the kind that I get, maybe. Something similar, at least. The ones I like are oatmeal, coconut, and chocolate chip. And maybe walnuts, too. I'm not sure. But they're just awesome. And I do think they were called "Druid" something or other. I haven't gotten them in a while, but I keep wanting to go get more. Now I'll definitely have to.

And yes, I'm sure that Willow would muchly enjoy being teased by Twinkie-enjoying-Tara. But then who wouldn't go cross-eyed with lust watching Taratongue dart out out from between swollen-with-Willow-kisses lips and the tip of it curl to catch up the creamy goodness inside of a Wi- um. Twinkie. Forgot the 't'. Ahem. Yeah.

'Scuse me while I make with the dreamy sighage.

And Petra, I did too get snacky-innuendo happy in that first post of mine. It's [i:0758f43b4e] all[/i:0758f43b4e] about the quiver. ;)

OK, now I'm hungry. I'm at work and just downed one of those fancy, expensive, "supernutrient" juice drinks that are supposed to make you all healthy and smart. (Ingredients: apples, peaches, mangoes, strawberries, bananas, spirulina, soy, open cell chlorella, royal jelly, wheatgrass, barley grass, wheat sprouts, jerusalem artichoke, etc. etc. No, I am not making this up! Basically, it's a bright-green, thick, fruity-algae drink. Oh, and it tastes really good.)

And yet all I want is potato chips. Drat.

I love this topic because my gf and I are having a party tonight, and a couple of days ago we went to one of those gigantor MegaLoMart-type places and bought an avalanche of stoner munchie food for our guests. It was a blast. We got chips, salsa, guacamole, fancy cheeses and crackers, chocolate-covered raisins, M&M's, taquitos (or was that Kakistos?), bagel dogs (!), mini-pizzas, popcorn chicken, and bushels of veggies for dip. Anything that sounded good, we threw in the cart.

Whew.

My all-time favorite snack is pistachio nuts. I bet Tara likes them too. I see Willow going more for the sugar rush--like a big, frothy, ice-blended mocha with chocolate-covered espresso beans.

[i:7abc97b6b1] (eta: Julia, thanks for sending me to that visual place! No, really.)[/i:7abc97b6b1]

This is what disturbs me about Goldfish. Seriously. I can eat meat just fine, but hell no for Goldfish. I think the fact that they are smiling at me is too disturbing. And now they have weird colors? Good lord.

Now, what is a Funyon, you ask? A Funyon is one of the best snack foods ever invented. It's ring shaped and tasty. And oniony. Did I mention that Holley enjoys licking Funyon bags clean?

Nothing quite like being greeted by a bouncing boob gif.

My favourite snacks...hmmm....well almost anything chocolate related (except I loathe nuts....any kind of nuts....in my chocolate. I love it unadulterated.)

Fried dumplings
Steamed dumplings
Souvlaki with tzatziki
Rice wrapped in grape leaves
Pretzels and chocolate ice cream (for some odd reason)
Granola bars (with chocolate chips in them, of course)
Chewy Sprees!
Gummi Bears
Popcorn
Buffalo wings, buffalo shrimp (talk about delish)
Matzoh Balls (the very wild influence of my Jewish neighbors in Philly)
And I'm sure a ton of other fattening things :lol
