Sorry to hear that you guys look like getting ripped off here - especially as it would appear (as they are involved in other events) that this company has assets other than those provided in payment for WR. Think about it.
Interesting to me that if a specific guest cancels (and you bought your ticket between 30 and 7 days before) then you could get a 75% refund... yet for a total cancellation only 50%? That is from their own "Fine Print" (see Emma Peels links)
The "Fine Print" does not mention the total cancellation of the event at all. That would suggest that there have been no terms and conditions laid down for them to use as a reason for not refunding - and in my simplistically legal mind you are entitled to a full refund (which you obviously are anyway but I mean there is nothing there to say that you stand to lose money by buying a ticket for something that never happens.) Remember they are not just doing this event - which implies additional assets in addition to the funds you guys paid out.
IMHO you might have a case with the Credit Card companies. They could recall funds from Pay Pal (if that was what was used) and Pay Pal would, presumably, deduct that from the organisers account with them and take whatever they had to - but that would not be your fight. Might be worth someone enquiring about it - I am pretty sure it could be done in the UK. US policy might be different though. Sorry not to be more help.
