I have a question for everyone regarding Amber's part in the Rocky Horror tribute that aired on VH1 awhile back (I'm thinking it was VH1, could be wrong). Does ANYONE out there know where I can get an MP3 or even possibly a video clip of her song? I've searched all over the net and can't find anything.
She's dreamy. *grin*
Rocky Horror is slutty. *grin*

Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks kittens.

PRESS RELEASE
For Immediate Release
Collaborative Album Featuring Anthony Stewart Head (of Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and
George Sarah (of T.H.C.) To Be Released on February 5, 2002
B.I.A.B.D. is pleased to announce the collaborative project between Anthony Stewart Head ("Giles" on Buffy The Vampire Slayer) and reputed electronic producer/composer George Sarah (formerly of the band T.H.C.).
Head has garnered international acclaim in numerous theater, film and TV productions, but is probably best known for his role as "Giles" on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Despite his critical success with acting, Head originally intended to pursue a career in music. He attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts and got his first show business break as "Jesus" in Godspell in the West End of London. He also starred in the London stage musical The Rocky Horror Picture Show as "Dr. Frank-N-Furter." Most recently, his vocal talents have been showcased on occasional episodes of Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Composer/arranger Sarah launched his music career in 1983 and has since garnered the attention of national press (Thousand Words, XLR8R, Outburn, LA Weekly) and has collaborated with artists ranging from Swayzak, Q (of Überzone), John X, David J (Love & Rockets, Bauhaus) and Günter Schulz (KMFDM), among others. In 1999, he released his acclaimed album under the T.H.C. moniker, Adagio, on Brain Surgery Records. Sarah has also released a 12-inch single on Warner Brothers? F-111 label. In November 1999, he performed four of his songs on Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and his work has also been featured on the Buffy spin-off Angel. Sarah?s music has been featured in numerous film and television productions as well. His full-length album, Opus Eleven, was released May 8, 2001 on B.I.A.B.D.MUSIC FOR ELEVATORS can be described as down-tempo electronica with soulful backing vocals and acoustic guitar. The combination of Head?s accomplished vocals and lyrical brilliance and Sarah?s orchestral electronica create a rich and lush sound, accented by contemporary flourishes in the form of samples and organic instrumentation. MUSIC FOR ELEVATORS also features guest appearances by additional Buffy cast members.
The album will be available in stores February 5, 2002. Preorder online at: www.musicforelevators.com or through mail order at: B.I.A.B.D., P.O. Box 39439, Los Angeles, CA., 90039.

I went to the back link and couldn't find SMG with the Brady Bunch theme. But considering I posted it in April... it's no real surprise that it's no longer there.

Can I ask how you know this? Not being rude in anyway, just wondering!
Can I just say how much I love Tony's voice. Phew, 'now *I* know why I used to have that crush on him', lol. But seriously, I was going to buy the album no matter what. It's Buffy related and would have been to support Tony, but I never expected it to be that good!! Congrats for Tony!
Also on the download/sample of 'All the fun of the fair', does anyone know who it is who does the talking bit at the end of the download?

xita: Aly speaks on the track, not sings.
tyche: Not sure, would have to check the cast listing.
btw, on the perennial subject of Sarah's (SMG) rumored disposition: James Marsters has been quoted recently talking about how she's a consumate professional, doesn't hog the limelight, uses her influence as the titular 'star' of the show to make things easier for the other actors, and is a 100% class act, or words to that effect. In short, she's a joy to work with and everybody likes her. I've heard nothing to contradict that.
Can Ijust ask: How does Aaly sound? I mean with all the backlash about Aly's voice from the musical...

What backlash? I do not get around much. She said herself there should be a law against her voice, but I what little she sang in the musical sounded very pleasant to me, and on this CD she is just doing narration right? Well she's got a wonderful voice so she can't go wrong there if ya ask me.
Ah you didn't ask me, oh well, one post closer to level 10.
Well at *gasp* OTHER boards there was quite a few people who didn't like Aly's voice. I personally didn't mind her voice but, eh everyone has their *cough* warped *cough* oppinions.
And Dr G one more post closer to level ten?!? Isn't level nine HIGH ENOUGH? Lol, some of us are struggling on our second level to get up higher.

I don't have any idea if it is going to be released in the UK, but I have heard that it is going to be released in Australia so if it's coming over here then generally it is going to be EVERYWHERE - lol we get it pretty much last! Also if it doesn't sell in the UK then you should be able to order it through ANY music store, it might just cost up to $10 more!

Artist / Band: Anthony Stewart Head & George SarahRecord Label: B.I.A.B.D.
Release Date: February 05, 2002
Our Review:
Record store used-CD bins are littered with crap discs by actors who mistakenly thought they could sing. But it'll probably be a while before you find this album there. A collaboration between Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Anthony "Giles" Stewart Head and L.A. ambient-tech composer George Sarah, Music for Elevators is neither as dull as its name suggests, nor as badly sung as you'd expect from a TV star. While he's no Paul McCartney, Head is no Don Johnson, either. In fact, his dulcet tone--which at times recalls a Roxy Music-era Bryan Ferry--compliments Sarah's atmospheric chill-out tunes quite well. Head further proves his musical meddle by playing sitar, guitar and keyboards on a couple tracks (some of which he wrote). Other Scoobies James Marsters, Amber Benson and Alyson Hannigan also contribute (Buffy mastermind Joss Whedon even wrote a song) to this disc that would keep even the tough crowd at the Bronze satisfied.
She also wrote to them and asked about it weeks ago and hasn't had a reply.

'Buffy' star releases morose album
By STEPHANIE McGRATH -- AllPop
Judging by his singing, Anthony Stewart Head just might be as melancholy and brooding as the character he plays on "Buffy The Vampire Slayer".
"Music For Elevators" -- created with George Sarah, a composer, producer and apparent electronica junkie -- is the actor's foray into the music world.
While most television viewers know Anthony as Giles, the bookish "watcher" on "Buffy", his original plan was to pursue a music career instead of entering the acting world. According to the album's official website, Anthony was a student at the London Academy Of Music And Dramatic Arts, and his first big role was as Jesus in a London production of "Godspell".
Featuring an overwhelming amount of digital effects and lyrics (penned by Anthony) about weepy palm trees and difficult life lessons, "Elevators" leaves a bizarre and slightly morose after-taste.
One track, "Babies [The In Between]", discusses the guilt the actor/singer experiences because of the fact he's often away from his children. (That's one of the reasons Giles is only a recurring character on "Buffy" this season.]
On another track, "This Town In The Rain", Anthony describes how depressing Los Angeles can be when there's no sun.
The entire album could easily be slotted into the background of a new-agey, fantasy/sci-fi, '80s movie or ... "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", and it's the "Buffy" guest stars on the album that will probably attract fans to "Elevators".
James Marsters (Spike) appears on "Owning My Mistakes", Amber Benson (Tara) guests on "All The Fun Of The Fair", while Alyson Hannigan (Willow) reportedly appears on "End Game", although the only element of the song that sounds as though it could be her is a short, spoken-word loop, "Look at the beetle on its back".
Even "Buffy" mastermind Joss Whedon contributes to the album. The song "Last Time" was written by Joss and sounds similar to some of the music performed during last year's "Once More With Feeling" musical episode of "Buffy".
Anthony even gives a nod to the show in the liner notes:
"To Joss, the genius, for the show, for asking me to be part of it, for the great evenings where I found out everyone could sing and for the beautiful song; to so many extraordinary talented friends -- Alyson, Amber and James ...".
Curious fans can order a copy of the album online at http://www.musicforelevators.com

The dedication on the sleeve notes is incredibly sweet. Awww.
