Well i went back to my comic shop today and he still hasn't had it in and he doesn't know when he's gonna have it in!!!

I'm glad all the people who hadn't read it before liked my comic (and thanks for posting the url, Bob!)... by a strange coincidence, I just started having new ideas for the sequel this morning; I've been working on it since I finished the first one, but up until now, all of my ideas have kind of sucked.

Anyhoo, comics rule, do they not?

Don't get too excited (though it's flattering, don't get me wrong ). It's gonna take me a while to write/draw/color. And by "a while" I mean "I have no kerfucking clue how long it's gonna take, but it won't be soon."

And it's all thanks to Christina Aguilera... What a world.

This week's shipments came in today at Golden Apple Comics on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles, so it should be there. I'm on my way very soon.

As the sig hints, I'm a huge fan of Terry Moore's work, and waiting for this comic to hit shelves has been torturous for me! Terry's already done a classic SiP issue spoofing Xena, and now with WannaBlessedBe, I'll get to see his take on my other favorite show. *happy sigh*

Now I just gotta hang on until Saturday night at 8 . . .

My store was delayed because of the holiday, too, so the book came in today. I was there in New Hartford at 2 pm, picked up WannaBlessedBe and numbers 29, 30, and 31 of Buffy. I was very pleased with some of the moments in Buffy #30, like where W/T are preparing for a spell in the back of Giles' car. *giggles* But then once the Angel crossover is finished in issue 30, Tara is suddenly all gone again. Where did she go!? Give us our Tara back!!

Thanks Xita, I could actually *see* Aly/Amber doing that last frame on the "jealous"page . the likeness of the 2 actresses, well, I won't be fussy, the buffy comic has had worse.

/me seething away at the extra delay brought about by the easter holiday! man, we *were* already slower than the rest of the world before the delay!Grrr..argh..

This is such a wonderful thing to come home to. You know, I did not expect to love this so much. I have this snobbish attitude that a comic is not the real thing. But man, am I wrong. I love it. Thank you Xita for these wonderful scans!
And thank you, thank you April, you spoil me, but I can take it. Heh heh.

Actually, I went down to Golden Apple and got one copy of the issue with Terry's cover art, since I only had $4 and this one is my reading copy. (Going back after my trip to the bank tomorrow to snag one more copy of each cover, for posterity's sake.)

Classic Terry Moore stuff here. One of the reasons I love reading and re-reading all my copies of SiP is that Terry always sneaks in little bits of subtle humor in the background, like a trash can in a park that walks and tweets like R2-D2. I noticed the writing on the water bottle on page 1, which is a hilarious little spoof on all the "History of our bottled water" blurbs those things seem to have. Also, when Caitlin barges into Tara's room trying to show off a spell, if you look closely, you can see that Tara's sitting on her bed reading an issue of Strangers in Paradise! He also does those intimate moments so well. Even little things like Willow and Tara's hands meeting over the top of that water bottle made me want to melt. The "danger" scenes were appropriately chilling.

Amber and Chris Golden did great work with the dialogue. The "Taglarin millopod" line had me cracking up, as did the whole exchange between Caitlin and Tara about "swinging both ways." And how much did I love Amber's afterword?!?

Great comic. As a fan of both BtVS and SiP, color me very satisfied.

Nice comic, love Terry Moore's drawings. The deaths were SCARY! Especially the Evil Dead tree-death thing. Freaked me out. O_o

Want more Amber comic! This was 1000 times better than the Valentines schtick.

Ok so I made the mistake of checking out Xita's scans....the *BONK* was me fainting on the floor of my office! *sigh* I have to wait a week for Dark Horse Comics to send me my comic. I bought both the Photo cover and Comic cover ones. Those puppies are going in some hardcore plastic and get sealed away in someplace safe once I read them *VBG*

Yay! It took going to two different stores, but I got both the comic cover and the photo cover yestrday. They're going like hotcakes here, at both stores I got the last copy.

Okay, so I'm no comic buff. Can someone explain to me what is meant by "foil"? Is the issue in a foil wrapper or something? And how does one go about getting a foil?
