Restoration Part Ten

Postby Ghostwriter » Sat Aug 31, 2002 9:42 pm

snuggle79: Aww I made you blush! I'm sorry, well not really, but sort of! Anyway, here is a update, hope this makes up for it! Thanks for reading.

Part Ten

“So any word from the witchy duo?” Xander asked Anya. The closed sign was turned and Anya was doing her dance of capitalistic superiority. Xander could not help but smile. Dawn was dancing with Anya and her youthful giggles filled the air. Buffy came out of the training room, her weapons bag in her hand. She rolled her eyes at the dancing duo before flopping down in a chair opposite Xander at the research table.

“No, I suspect they are too busy having orgasms to call,” Anya stated happily.

“Anya!” both Xander and Buffy shouted looking at Dawn.

“It’s okay Buffy, I know what org…”

“If you finish that sentence you are so grounded,” Buffy interrupted, a little pale at the thought of that word coming out of her sister’s mouth. Dawn huffed and crossed her arms over her chest. Anya shut the register and walked over to the shelves, straightening things and checking inventory.

“I don’t know why…”

“Dawn,” Buffy warned.

“Fine, pick on the teenager,” she huffed.

“So Will and Tara haven’t called you either?” Buffy asked Xander.

“That would be a big no,” he answered. “They are probably too busy talking, which is all good.”

“Definitely with the goodness,” agreed Buffy nodding. “I think things will turn out.”

“I certainly hope so, Willow is happiest when she is with Tara.”

“And a happy Willow is a good Willow,” Buffy replied smiling at the thought of a happy Willow.

“So if Tara and Willow get back together will Tara move back in?” Dawn asked hopefully.

“I don’t know Dawn, we’ve haven’t talked about it,” the Slayer told her sister.

“But they can’t live anywhere else!” she protested.

“Dawn…”

“Hey!” Anya’s shout caught their attention. She was upstairs in the loft where the dangerous, black magic books were kept. “Hey! Hey!”

“Ahn, what’s wrong?” Xander asked moving to the foot of the steps.

“It’s gone! Somebody stole a book! From me! They have cut into my profit!” the ex-demon was livid. She came to the top of the stairs. “I can’t believe this,” she spat in disgust.

“What book was taken?” Buffy questioned.

“You need to find them Buffy! They are evil and must be destroyed!” Anya shouted.

“Anya, Slayer here, not cop,” Buffy told her with a roll of her eyes.

“What book was taken?” Xander asked again.

“What?” she asked frowning. “Oh, it was the Danentric Codex, it’s a book of spells, resurrection spells, restoration spells, and….” Her voice trailed off and her eyes grew large. “And spells to open hell dimensions and portals.”

“Resurrections?” Buffy asked.

“Hell dimensions?” Xander squeaked, swallowing hard, his face pale.

“Strange combination,” Dawn piped up looking between the three adults.

“Like the Hellmouth,” Buffy said flatly.

“So someone wants to open the Hellmouth,” Xander shook his head. “Again.”

“We can’t know that,” Dawn disagreed.

“Why else would they want that book?” Buffy asked her sister almost angrily. She turned back to Anya who had joined them at the bottom of the steps. “Any idea who was up there today?”

“Just a few regular customers, no one who hadn’t been here before,” Anya said obviously shifting through her memory of customers. “No one that called attention to themselves.”

“Anything else missing? Like other books or supplies?” Buffy asked.

“I’ll check.”

“We’ll help,” Xander offered. The Scoobies hurried about intent on their search.

“Some ingredients are gone but I can’t be sure if they’d be used for any spells in the Codex or not,” Anya said much later after they had looked through the shelves.

“All crystals and gadgets and whatnots are accounted for,” Xander reported.

“This is of the strange here,” Buffy said with a frown.

“Ahn, do you know what, exactly, was in the book?” asked Xander getting a funny feeling in his stomach.

“Not really, just enough to know what it is. Besides after it came in, Willow had it,” there was silence as they digested this.

“It’s real Dark Magick isn’t it?” Dawn asked quietly, looking around, the fear she felt evident on her face.

“The darkest,” Anya confirmed solemnly.

“Could Will still have it?” Xander asked at once hopeful and nauseous at the same time.

“No, when she went off magic she returned it and she hasn’t been upstairs since,” Anya told him.

“But she’d know what was in it right?” he wanted to know.

“Yes,” nodded Anya. “Giles would know too.”

“Well Giles is on some Watchers retreat and Will’s busy,” Buffy stated wrapping her arms around her torso. Her eyes were focused on a far off point.

“We could call her, that is if we knew where they were,” Xander grimaced.

“I know where they are, but I don’t think we should bother them yet,” Buffy replied, snapping her attention back to the group around her.

“Willow told you?” Anya asked frowning, a little jealous. Tara had refused to tell her.

“Not exactly,” Buffy hedged, looking a trifle embarrassed.

“I heard Willow talking on the phone!” she finally blurted out looking sheepishly at the others.

“So where are they?” demanded Xander, he hated secrets.

“I’m not telling,” Buffy said almost petulantly. “If it turns out we need to make with the witchy stuff I’ll call,” she looked at her watch. “It’s late, how about we reconvene tomorrow? Xander, you and Anya take Dawn home with you. I’ll do a quick patrol and then stop by Willy’s, see if he has any information.”

“Gotcha.”

The four quickly locked up and headed out. It was almost full dark and Buffy kept her eyes on the shadows. Her Slayer senses were tingling as she waited for Anya to finish locking up.

“Ouch!” Anya cried out in pain. Buffy’s attention was drawn back to the door. The Slayer frowned as she saw a large thorn sticking out of the ex-demons hand.

“Anya! Are you okay?” Xander asked rushing to her side. Anya grimaced in pain holding her wrist. Her eyes were glazed and her face suddenly became pale. Without another word she fell to the ground. Xander caught her before she landed.

Buffy moved toward her fallen friend. Her attention was diverted long enough. Pouring out of the alleyway were demons, five of them. They were tall with dishwater gray skin. Jagged tusks that jutted upward split their mouths. Their heads were round with spiky tendrils that flowed back and fell to their shoulders. The tendrils moved with a life of their own and Buffy saw that was where those thorns came from as one was shot in her direction. The demon’s eyes were large, round and glowed yellow in the dim light. Their muscular bodies were encased in a gray leather type material and their arms were covered in thick colorless hair. They were snarling and saliva was dripping from their mouths.

“Aren’t you the pretty ones,” Buffy said sardonically, moving into her fighting stance. Three of the demons rushed her, growling and snarling.

She noticed right off that they weren’t very bright even by demon standards, nor were they particularly strong. But they were persistent. Her attention was so focused on them that she didn’t even pun.

“Buffy!” cried Dawn. Buffy jerked her head in her sister’s direction. A black robed figure with a red mask covering its face was standing behind the girl. An arm was wrapped around her throat, holding her tight. In its other hand it held a knife. “Buffy!”

Buffy’s eyes went to Xander who was closer to Dawn. He was busy with the other two demons. One was holding him, while the other was beating the stuffing out of him. As she looked on, one of the tubular spikes shot out a thorn, catching him on the side of the neck. His eyes glazed and he fell to the ground practically on top of the unconscious Anya.

“Dawn!” Buffy struggled to get to the young girl. All five demons rushed her now. With a renewed sense of purpose she fought, killing one quickly with a twist of its neck, and causing a second to fall to its knees. A third was stumbling almost falling when a piercing scream from Dawn was cut short. Buffy’s eyes darted toward Dawn. The masked and robed figure was leaning over Dawn’s prone body. Buffy couldn’t quite make out what it was doing.

While her attention was on her sister, the two remaining demons both shot thorns at her, catching her in the chest and stomach. A wave of nausea spread through her, a strange buzzing noise filled her ears. She struggled to reach out to Dawn when suddenly the world went black.

Willow sighed contentedly. She was laying on her right side with Tara spooned behind her. Tara’s left hand was curled over her own left. Their fingers were interlocked and laying on her stomach. She felt happy. Happier than she had in a long time. The cloud that had seemed to follow her had lifted. Tara still loved her. Still wanted her. Willow smiled as she lay in Tara’s loose embrace. Her skin tingled where Tara’s breath grazed it and she felt the slow flush of arousal start in the pit of her stomach again. She sighed once more.

“You smell good,” Tara whispered taking a deep breath. Willow giggled.

“I smell like sex.” Tara chuckled softly and placed a light kiss beneath Willow’s ear.

“Like I said, you smell good,” she said wickedly.

Willow giggled again and scooted closer to the woman holding her. Tara placed another kiss below her ear, moving her lips down Willow’s throat to her shoulder. Willow’s giggle quickly changed to a soft moan. Tara’s hand, still holding Willow’s moved upwards, to cup Willow’s breast. Her thumb gently rubbed the nipple. Willow’s breath caught in her throat. She pushed her back into Tara, trying to get closer. The sensation of Tara’s hand moving hers, touching her, was flooding her with desire.

Tara moved their hands back down stopping just short of the red curls. She brought their hands back up and cupped the other breast. Her teeth gently bit down on Willow’s ear lobe. The soft cries and moans from Willow drifted to her, filling her ears. Tara’s tongue moved along Willow’s ear, down her throat, licking, sucking, she smiled at the red mark she had left.

“Tara,” Willow moaned, pushing her body closer.

“What do you want baby?” Tara whispered into Willow’s ear, sending gooseflesh racing down Willow’s arm. Tara moved their hands downwards again, stopping before reaching their desired destination. Willow muttered her protest and tried to pull their joined hands down.

“No baby,” teased Tara. “Tell me what you want.”

“Uh, I, oh God, I want you baby, please!”

“What do you want me to do?” asked Tara her voice, low, rough with desire.

“Tara! Please!” Willow’s body was responding to their touch as it drifted over her breasts, her stomach, and her thighs. Her center was pulsating with need.

“Come on baby, tell me what you want.”

“I want you,” Willow’s head arched back into Tara’s shoulder as the blonde’s lips moved over her exposed throat.

“You have me. But what do you want now?” the blonde demanded to know.

“Tara, please, touch me!” Tara sighed with pleasure, she positioned her fingers over Willow’s and moved their joined hands down. Willow rolled back into Tara and opened her legs.

Tara moved their hands and their fingers moved easily through Willow’s slick folds. Willow gasped as their fingers grazed her center.

As they moved over her pleasure knot their fingers were coated with her essence. It was intense. Tara led her, as together they brought her closer to the release her body craved. Willow’s hips strained upward as their fingers pushed against her opening. Her hips rocked, her breath came in ragged gasps. Tara’s lips moved along her throat, her jaw, and her ear, kissing everywhere. The blonde’s teeth and tongue nipped and licked the exposed flesh. Willow felt the exquisite pressure building up in her toes rushing upwards bathing her body in its white-hot heat. She cried out Tara’s name as the blonde pushed their fingers into her center. The sensation of them both penetrating her almost sent her careening over the edge. Willow’s hips thrust faster, pushing their fingers deeper, filling her. She cried out again when Tara’s thumb moved over her hard knot. Suddenly in a cacophony of ecstasy her body strained, taking in every last ounce of pleasure and wringing it dry. Crying out Tara’s name she slammed over the precipice. Her hips jerked forward once more before she collapsed back onto the bed, gasping for breath. Tara chuckled and kissed Willow’s parched lips.

“You okay?” Tara asked with a smile. Willow didn’t open her eyes; she just nodded her head. Tara looked down at her lover, her skin glowing, perspiration dampening her hair, her lips parted slightly as she breathed heavily. Tara thought Willow had never looked more glorious.

“You’re beautiful,” she said softly. Willow’s eyes fluttered open and she met Tara’s gaze. The redhead smiled sweetly.

“Thanks. I’m partial to blondes myself,” she grinned cheekily.

“Nu-unh. Redheads are hot!” Tara disagreed with a saucy grin. “Firecracker hot!” both women giggled. Willow brought their still joined hands up and placed a gentle kiss on the back of Tara’s hand. Her eyes caught the glint of silver. With a smile she placed another kiss on the band.

“They look good,” she commented still looking at the rings.

“Yeah, they do,” Tara agreed her eyes drawn to the two bands. She raised their hands to her lips. Her nostrils flared as she breathed in Willow’s scent and her mouth watered. Tara kissed Willow’s hand.

“I love you Willow,” she said her eyes misting with tears.

“I love you too baby, always,” whispered Willow, her eyes glowing with the love she felt. Willow pulled the blonde down and kissed her deeply, her body already aching for Tara’s touch again.

The two women fell into an exhausted sleep much later, sometime before dawn. They were wrapped around each other as if afraid to let go. Each had a small smile toying with their lips, very content with themselves.

“You’ve done well Tracy. I am pleased,” Myra said, her eyes alight with an inner fire.

“So you have everything you need right? So we can go now right?” the dark haired girl asked quickly, obviously happy. Myra looked at her, eyes narrowed.

“Soon, my sister, soon. I still need your help. There is one more thing I need. Once the last part is done, you will be free.”

“Do you promise?” Tracy asked not daring to hope. Myra smiled cruelly.

“I promise,” Myra replied somewhat smugly. Tracy felt a chill pass unpleasantly down her spine. She pushed her uneasiness aside; she wanted to believe that she would be free soon. Tracy needed to believe it. Her four-year-old daughter needed her to believe it.

Re: Restoration Part Ten

Postby VampNo12 » Sun Sep 01, 2002 9:01 pm

Ghostwriter a very riveting, as well as :thud worthy update! I truly love the way you write Anya. It was so Anya for her first comment about the theft to be ("They have cut into my profit!"), :lol . Or in other words, commerce first, danger/risk of what the book could do to "innocents" second. As for the "thorn" demons, I have a good feeling Buffy will be mightily pissed when she finds Dawn missing. With this in mind, Myra is severely testing my limits :rage , and I just have a bad feeling that Myra will renege on her promise of giving Tracy her "freedom" (ie Myra is just leading her on/trying a new tactic to get Tracy to do her bidding). Myra is just plain evil, (and will use that evil Joss quote) by saying "I hope she get's what she needs (a severe ass-kicking), and not what she wants (bringing back Glory)".

As to the W&T "goodness" that was just so sensual, erotic, and just plain hot. I loved how Tara was being a "vixen" by making Willow verbalize she wanted to be touched, with Tara not letting Willow off the hook by asking, ("What do you want me to do?"). Lastly, I just loved their hands together during the love scene, indeed a great visual :drool worthy! Can't wait for the next part!

I want to second what VampNo12 said about Tara making Willow verbalize what she wants...this is clearly a case where Willow babbling is not the problem. :)

So much going on here, but I like the way that although Willow and Tara are off in their own little world, they are "there" to the other characters in some way, with Xander talking about the "witchy duo," which I loved. I don't know if that makes sense, but they are just present everywhere.

I am just so glad to see them back together, and I thought the eyes misting up was a very real thing here. Thanks.

That was great Wendy :) It was so lovely to have Willow and Tara alone together and even though there is all this bad stuff happening around them they'll manage to work it out in the end...I think :) Oh I thought it was especially great that Buffy would not allow them to be interupted, I like reading about supportive Buffy.

Thank you all for reading and all of your comments, I appreciate it. Here are the replies.

Jennpurr: Hey I got another THUD! Thanks, Jen, I’m glad you liked it. And I didn’t really intend for it to be a cliffhanger, it just kinda happened that way. As for Buffy kicking Myra’s ass, well, would you be terribly upset if that didn’t happen? As for what was done to Dawn, well you’ll just have to wait and see. I’m working on the next part, I’m not really happy with it; I may just end up chucking it and starting over. Oh and Jen, don’t be embarrassed; I probably watch the same kind of shows! And I hope I didn’t sound too pompous with the explanation! Anyway thanks for reading I appreciate it and your comments.

Tiggrscorpio: Thanks for reading. And Myra is really a whack job isn’t she? But as to what happens, well wait and see. I’m glad you liked the love scene, those scenes are not easy to write, I will tell you that! There will be more soon. Thanks again.

snuggle79: Thanks; I’m glad you liked it; after all it was posted to make up for me making you blush. It was pretty action packed wasn’t it? As for what Myra still wants, hmmm, well all will be revealed. Thanks for reading I appreciate it, and an update will be soon, we are getting close to the resolution.

spazz07: Nathan, thanks for reading. Never fear, everything will work out for our girls, but as to the others, well, we’ll see. As for Tracy breaking free, hmm, interesting, but Myra’s hold is pretty strong.

xita: Thank you so much for reading. Yes I agree, Willow and Tara did need their alone time. I’m glad you liked the love scene; we can never have too many love scenes between our girls!

MadeinNZ: LOL, yeah could be Tuesday! I liked our girls being oblivious to the danger; they certainly deserve some much needed alone time. I’m glad you liked that scene as well. Thanks again for reading, I appreciate it and your comments.

VampNo12: Yay me, another THUD! Thank you, Anya surprisingly enough was not as hard to write as I feared she would be. I thought I would have more trouble with her so I didn’t utilize her as much as I would have liked. I love writing her and I’m glad you like my representation. And I agree Buffy is not going to be pleased. Myra is testing my limits too. Surprisingly she is the hardest for me to write, I find this odd, since she is my own character, but I think it’s because, I just don’t like her. As for her promise to Tracy, your bad feeling is justified, but that’s all I’m going to say about that. Myra is evil and I think she will get what she needs, as well as what we need! And lastly, I’m very pleased you liked the love scene, the hands seem to be a hit. I have always pictured Tara as the “vixen” since to me she has more experience than Willow. I am working on the next part now, but like I said earlier, it is giving me some trouble. I’m not agreeing with some of the plot points, hopefully I will have something for you all soon. Thank you so much for reading; I do appreciate it and your wonderful comments.

mollyig: Thanks; I’m glad you liked it. Intriguing was exactly what I was going for! Thank you for reading.

Tulipp: No, babbling was not a problem for Willow. I’m glad you picked up on how Willow and Tara were “there” for the Scoobies. We never really got a chance to see how the others felt or talked about Willow and Tara when they weren’t around. In my Buffyverse, the Scoobies are all W/T shippers and their presence is very much a part of the group dynamic. Thanks for reading, I appreciate it and I love your feedback, now if I could only be so coherent when I comment on your story.

Puff: Thank you, I’m glad you liked it! Things will work out for our girls, but as for the others well, hmm, we will have to see. I’m glad you like my supportive Buffy. The Buffy of season six was not the Buffy I enjoyed watching, so in my Buffyverse she is supportive and not so nearly caught up in her self. Thanks for reading I appreciate it and your comments!

edited to add: I forgot a very important thank you, I have no idea what I was thinking. JD thanks so much for your imput! I appreciate it.

I have to apologize for being so late to this fic, but I'm glad I finally found it. There's so much I like about it - how the girls have taken their time getting back together, how they both had something to apologize for and work through, how Willow's problems didn't just vanish once she got back together with Tara. This feels honest and believable.

I especially love the scenes you write with just the two of them - their moments together are all so sweet and touching. Thanks for this wonderful story - it's been very enjoyable! :)

Restoration Part 11 and 12

Postby Ghostwriter » Wed Sep 11, 2002 1:10 pm

Well, it's that time again. RL has given me an ever so slight break and so I am celebrating by posting not one but two updates. And if you play your cards right there may be even more today. Since there are only 15 parts and they are all ready to post there won't be such a long delay in the updates. Thank you all for being so patient.

Scout: No need to apologize. I'm glad you are enjoying my story. Thank you so much for your comments, one of the things I really wanted to convey was the honesty and the beliveablity of the characters. Thank you again for reading.

So without further ado, here is part 11 and 12.

Part Eleven

Willow and Tara shared a lingering kiss late the next morning. They had been washing the dishes used for their late breakfast when they had found themselves looking deep into each other’s eyes. Their bodies had taken over and their lips met, sparking the passion that lingered just below the surface. They had gotten up earlier, showered and now they were standing in the center of the large kitchen kissing, savoring their closeness. The shrill ring of the phone shattered the silence. The two broke apart and looked at each other then at the phone on the wall.

“Will, its Buffy, please pick up!” came the Slayer’s worried voice over the machine. Willow hurried over and picked up the phone.

“I’m here, Buffy, what’s wrong?” Tara watched as the worried look on Willow’s face was replaced by a horrified one. “Oh my God. We’ll be right there,” she promised nodding her head. “Okay see you soon,” she hung up the phone and turned to Tara.

“W-w-what’s wrong?” she asked her face mirroring the worry on Willow’s.

“They were attacked leaving the magic shop last night. Dawn and Anya are in the hospital. Buffy and Xander are there now.”

“Let’s go,” Tara said without hesitation. Willow gave her a grateful look before moving to her. She pulled the other woman into a quick embrace, soaking up all the comfort she could.

* * *

“Buffy!” Willow cried out rushing into the waiting room. Tara was right behind her. The worried Slayer stood up and was gratefully wrapped in a Willow hug. Xander stood behind her, waiting his turn. “What happened? How’s Dawn? And Anya?”

“Anya will be fine. She had some kind of reaction to the poison the demons shot at us,” Xander told them, his eyes haunted. “They’ll be releasing her soon.”

“And Dawn?”

“We don’t know, she lost a lot of blood,” Buffy said tonelessly.

“What happened?” Tara asked confused.

“We were attacked by these demons as we left the shop. They shot these thorn like things at Anya, which caused her to pass out. While Buffy and I were fighting them off something grabbed Dawn, stabbed her, we got shot with the thorns and they took off,” Xander imparted almost devoid of emotion. “Buffy woke up a few minutes later.”

“Oh God,” Willow exclaimed wide-eyed.

“They took her blood,” Buffy said flatly. The group stood in silence. “She told us they took her blood.”

“They t-took it?” asked Tara surprised. She shuddered at the thought.

“Yeah, we think so. Dawn said that whoever stabbed her had this jar and used it to catch the blood, she really couldn’t tell us much more than that,” Xander told them.

“Was she bitten?”

“No.”

“Why would they take her blood?” Willow asked perplexed. “It doesn’t make sense.”

“To give to a vampire that can’t bite!” spat Xander.

“What? You think Spike did this?” Tara asked incredulously.

“Why wouldn’t he?” Xander turned to look at the blonde. “He can’t bite anymore, maybe he got tired of pigs blood.”

“So he had demons keep you busy while he took blood from Dawn?” Willow asked unconvinced. She didn’t particularly like Spike but it didn’t quite sound like him. “He couldn’t hurt her, remember chip?” she tapped her head.

“Maybe he hired them to do it,” Xander defended his theory.

“But why you guys? Why not pick someone at random?” Tara questioned looking at each of the others. “I mean why pick on the ones he knows could defeat them?”

“Maybe the demons thought we were random,” Xander shrugged an angry frown marring his features.

“Xander…” Willow began.

“Ms Summers?” a white coated doctor interrupted them. The Scoobies turned.

“Yes Doctor how is she?” Buffy asked moving toward the doctor. She had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach.

“She’s going to be fine. She’s stitched up and resting comfortably. We should be releasing her soon,” he told them writing something down in the chart he held.

“Thank you doctor, can I see her now?” Buffy asked, relief flooding through her.

“Sure, just give us a few more minutes, okay?” the replied. He looked down at another chart in his hand before looking up again. “Mr. Harris?” he questioned Xander.

“Yeah, that’s me. How’s Anya?”

“She’s fine, she’ll be out in a few minutes.”

“Thank you, thank you,” Xander shook the doctors hand vigorously. The doctor frowned and removed his hand forcibly. He gave the gathered group a small smile and left shaking his head.

“Well that’s good,” commented Tara. She moved to stand next to Willow. The redhead’s hand slipped into hers. She gave it a squeeze, before her thumb gently rubbed the back of it.

“Yeah,” Buffy said frowning. “But this is just so strange.”

“All with the strangeness that’s for sure,” agreed Willow her lips set in a firm line.

“So we should research these demons then?” Tara asked looking between the Scoobies.

“Yeah, we need to find what Spike had to pay them,” Xander said firmly.

“Xander I think that’s a little farfetched,” Willow said stopping herself as she realized she was sticking up for Spike. Before Xander could shoot back a retort Anya was wheeled in by a nurse.

“Anya!” he rushed over to her.

“They told me I had to stay in bed for a day or so,” the ex-demon grumped. “And not for orgasms,” Xander blushed and placed a kiss on Anya’s cheek.

“It’ll be okay Ahn, it’ll pass before you know it.”

“Yes, but who will open the shop for me?” she asked looking up at him.

“Don’t worry about it Anya, we’ll take care of it,” Tara piped up; ignoring the wide-eyed look that Willow shot her. The last thing Willow wanted today of all days was to be stuck in the Magic Box. She much preferred the thought of being stuck with Tara in the bedroom. Anya beamed at Tara before turning to the scowling redhead standing next to her friend.

“Willow!” cried Anya, catching sight of the red hickey on the redhead’s throat. Her eyes went to Tara; sure enough there was a matching mark on her neck. “Oh my God Tara!” the two women startled, looked at Anya. “You’ve got hickies!” Willow blushed a deep red and put her left hand up to try to hide the evidence. Tara lowered her head, her hair hiding her blush. She absently tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. Both women jumped at the shriek from Anya. Buffy and Xander looked between the ex-demon and the witches, confused.

“What?” Tara asked nervously looking around for some threat.

“Rings! You didn’t tell us?” Anya demanded. Buffy’s eyes snapped back to her friend’s hands.

“Oh my God! You asked her?” she questioned Willow, grabbing Tara’s hand and examining the ring. Xander watched bemused as the four women oohed and aahed at the romanticism of it all. He was happy that his friend was back with her girlfriend, but he had had enough of wedding talk.

“I’m so happy for you,” Buffy said hugging them both. “Way to go Will!”

“So you just up and eloped?” asked Anya almost offended by the idea.

“Way to go Will,” Xander parroted with a smile. He wished he and Anya would just elope. Anya shot him a quelling look. “Uh, no! Will how could you deprive us of watching the goodliness that is you and Tara speaking your vows,” he quickly backpedaled. Anya smiled slightly and nodded once, satisfied at his question.

“Well, um, it was just an uh,” Willow searched for something to say. It had been an intensely private moment between her and Tara and she wasn’t sure if she would have wanted to share that.

“It was just for us Xander,” Tara piped up seeing the look on Willow’s face. It would be nice to share a moment with their friends but she too felt that the initial time was just for them. “We may do a small ceremony in the Wicca tradition later on for our friends, but this was just for us.”

“Understandably,” Anya agreed. “So you could have sex right away,” she said helpfully. She smiled when the two women blushed deeply.

“Well I for one am very happy for you, with or without a ceremony,” Buffy spoke up, her voice firm. She smiled at the two other women.

“Thanks Buffy,” Willow said softly a little smile toying with her lips. She turned to look at the woman who held her heart. “I’m pretty happy myself.”

“Me too,” agreed Tara. The look between them grew longer, more intense as the hospital faded away.

“Ahem,” Anya cleared her throat, breaking the eye contact. “Time to make money!” she reminded them before making shooing motions toward the door.

“Oh, right! Research!” Willow snapped her eyes away. Tara giggled and reached for Willow’s hand.

“I’m gonna stay here and wait for Dawn,” Buffy told them.

“You want me to stay with?” asked Willow turning to face Buffy.

“No, you guys go on. I’ll meet you at the shop later.” With goodbyes the foursome left, leaving Buffy alone with her thoughts.

“I need the witch,” Myra said flatly. Tracy lay huddled on the floor, her arms wrapped tight around her stomach. The pain was nauseating. “No more excuses, no more delays, Tracy.”

“But Myra,” Tracy ground out through clenched teeth. She cried out as Myra’s foot connected with her aching stomach.

“Tracy,” she warned, her voice angry. “I want the witch!” she repeated. Tracy barely felt the next kick, as the pain from the first had not subsided. She heard Myra’s angry voice buzzing in her ears as her sister kicked her again and again. Blackness soon surrounded her and took her from the pain.

“Anya, the doctor said you should be resting!” Xander protested following his fiancée into the Magic Box. He had only planned to drop off the two witches and take Anya home since they had left the Jeep for Buffy and Dawn. Tara and Willow followed him into the shop.

“But I have to make sure nothing else has been stolen!” the ex-demon called out over her shoulder.

“Stolen? Something was stolen?” Willow asked looking perplexed.

“Yeah, a book,” was Xander’s exasperated answer. He turned back to Anya. “Ahn, honey you can check it out later.”

“But by later I could have been robbed blind!”

“What book?” called out Willow moving deeper into the shop. Tara made her way to the research table.

“You’re not going to be robbed blind Anya,” Xander sighed. “Please let me take you home,” the two stood in the center of the store.

“Xander, I have to make sure my profit margin is not compromised,” Anya told him calmly, her eyes begging him to understand.

“Hello? What book?” repeated Willow, waving her hands. She shot an exasperated look at Tara. The blonde giggled and sat down.

“Is that all you think about Anya?” Xander demanded, fed up with her capitalistic priorities. “You’ve been injured, you need to rest!”

“But I won’t rest until I know I haven’t been robbed again,” pointed out Anya sure that he would see her side.

“Hey guys! What book!” shouted Willow. Xander’s mouth snapped shut as he and Anya glared at the interruption. “What book?” she repeated in a lower voice.

“Oh, it was the Danentric Codex,” Anya answered waving a hand dismissing it before turning back to Xander. She didn’t see Willow pale and visibly swallow.

“The Danentic Codex? Are you sure?” Willow asked intently, her eyes large she moved over to where the other two were standing. Willow grabbed Anya’s arm pulling her around to face her. Anya scowled at the redhead.

“Yes I’m sure,” Anya answered trying to get her arm out of Willow’s tight grip.

“Oh, this is not good,” the redhead muttered frowning. “Not good at all.”

“Will, what’s the matter?” Tara asked concerned, not liking Willow’s sudden pallor. She stood up and moved closer to the redhead.

“Anya, where is the Waterton Amendment?” Willow asked turning to the ex-demon.

“It’s upstairs with the other black magic texts,” Anya told her frowning.

“Xander,” Willow turned to look at him, her eyes intense. “I need it, I also need the Dasnarian Manifest and the Recton Codicil,” she told him, counting off each item on her fingers. Xander nodded and moved toward the staircase that lead to the loft.

“Willow, are you sure you s-s-should…” Tara broke off, unsure, a tight clenching in her stomach as she thought of Willow with the Dark Magick books. Willow looked bewildered for a moment.

“Oh! Oh! Oh no,” she flayed her hands wildly as she realized what Tara meant. “No baby, don’t worry. This is strictly research!” Willow quickly reassured her. “And if I get too antsy, you’ll help me won’t you?” she asked her voice small, her eyes pleading with Tara. The blonde witch breathed a sigh of relief and nodded.

“Of course,” Tara told her firmly, with a small smile. Willow’s lips moved into a sweet smile and she gently squeezed Tara’s hand.

“So, I get the books?” Xander asked, looking between the two women.

“Yeah, you get the books,” Tara answered him.

“Do you know what that book is for?” Anya questioned Willow.

“I think so,” Willow answered a small frown forming between her eyes. “I mean, it has quite a few spells in it. Spells to open portals and stuff. But there is one spell in there,” she looked between them fright very much evident in her eyes. “It’s one of the restoration spells. It could restore someone’s previous condition,” the other two women looked at her blankly. “Their dead condition,” she tried again. Willow took a deep breath. “The spell could undue the resurrection spell we did on Buffy,” she finally imparted. Tara and Anya looked at the redhead in horror.

It was silent until Xander returned with the books Willow requested.

Part Twelve

“I’m sooo tired,” moaned Willow later that afternoon. She fell back on her bed with a groan. They had come back to the house with a stack of books, intent on continuing their research. The Scoobies had been researching the spells in the book, hoping for a clue, any clue. Buffy, after dropping Dawn off had hit some of the demon hang outs looking for any word as to who would have taken the book. The Slayer had greeted their news grimly. Willow could not tell how she felt about it and that bothered her. She was afraid that Buffy still didn’t really care that she was alive. The redhead pushed that thought from her mind.

Tara smiled at Willow indulgently from the doorway. She looked around at the familiar bedroom. Her heart ached, seeing it not as their bedroom but as Willow’s. The redhead opened one eye and peered at the blonde in the doorway.

“What’re you doing?” she asked lifting her head with a frown.

“Uh, I’m, uh,” Tara stuttered and looked down at the floor as a flush covered her face. Willow sat up a frightened look on her face.

“Don’t you want to be here?” she asked, her voice small, afraid that Tara had changed her mind.

“No, that’s not it,” Tara said quickly, moving into the room. She took a deep breath, trying to get her scattered thoughts in order. “It’s just that, this is your room now. I guess I felt a little strange,” she admitted sheepishly.

“Baby, it’s always been our room,” Willow told her softly. She stood up and moved to the blonde.

“I guess I was just being a little silly. So much has happened,” Tara moved closer to Willow, their bodies almost touching.

“It’s all been good right?” Willow questioned with a frown.

“Oh yes,” Tara breathed. “I guess I just got a little overwhelmed. I mean we haven’t spoken about the future.”

“I did,” Willow stated firmly. “When I put that ring on your finger,” she took Tara’s left hand in hers, fingering the ring. “When I put this ring on your finger you became my future. Where you go I go,” Willow spoke resolutely.

“I love you,” Tara whispered moving into Willow’s embrace. She placed her forehead on Willow’s, closing her eyes at the sweet torture of the redhead’s touch.

“I love you too, Tara. You’ve made me so happy. I hope I can make you half as happy,” whispered Willow.

“I am happy. I’m with you,” Tara lifted her head to look at Willow. “That’s all I’ve ever wanted.” Willow smiled shyly and pulled Tara to her again, wrapping her arms around the other woman, pressing their bodies close.

“Please move back home,” Willow begged softly. “If you don’t want to live here, we can get something else, just please live with me.”

“No, I want to live here,” Tara told her. “With you, and Buffy and Dawnie. I’ve missed it all so much,” Tara’s voice was low but filled with emotion. Willow smiled and placed a soft kiss on Tara’s lips.

The kiss slowly deepened as their lips moved silkily against each other, their tongues danced for dominance. They lost themselves in the sensation. Once again time stopped as they reconnected. Passion sparked beneath the surface ready to explode as the flames of their smoldering desire were fueled by the kiss.

Willow threaded her fingers in Tara’s blonde hair pulling the woman closer, almost roughly. Tara whimpered against Willow’s mouth. Raw want and need exploded Willow’s senses. The redhead ravaged the mouth under hers, drinking deep, her lips, teeth and tongue moving over Tara’s. The other woman moaned, her hands on Willow’s back sliding down, pulling the redhead closer, grinding into her.

They parted, both panting as they tried to catch their breath. With fevered glances and rushed hands they quickly divested each other of their clothing. Willow pulled the now naked blonde toward the waiting bed. She sighed as Tara’s body pressed hers into the mattress. Willow’s skin grew hot from the touch. She felt as if her skin was on fire from the inside. Flames licked at her center as she writhed underneath the blonde witch. Willow groaned hoarsely as Tara moved, grinding against her, sending a fresh wave of longing crashing through her. The redhead pressed her hips forward, aching for more contact, needing Tara’s touch, demanding release. Tara’s hands glided over her body, touching everywhere but where she needed it the most. A ragged sob was torn from her throat as once more Tara’s fingers lightly grazed her molten center.

“Please baby,” she gasped arching her throat.

“Please what?” asked Tara, her husky voice caressing Willow’s ears, her breath hot and moist against the redhead’s fevered flesh.

“Please,” Willow begged close to tears as she thrust her hips forward, demanding Tara’s touch.

Tara grinned as Willow hissed, her fingers causing hot sparks to ignite throughout the redhead’s body. Willow began to move in earnest, her hips practically rising off the bed.

“Touch me,” Willow demanded her voice raw with want. “Please touch me!” Tara moved her hand, letting her fingers move through the slick folds that hid the treasure that she sought. Her fingers easily entered Willow, causing the redhead to sigh.

Tara created a slow pace, wanting this to last, wanting to feel Willow move beneath her. Her own breathing grew ragged as her passion threatened to explode.

“Mine,” Willow growled pulling Tara closer thrusting her hips forward. A shudder of pleasure rippled through the blonde.

“Yours,” whispered Tara in Willow’s ear, her breath hot. “Always.”

Willow clutched Tara’s shoulders, urging her on. She moved one hand, slipping it between them. Tara, realizing what Willow wanted lifted up a little to give her access. She gasped as Willow’s fingers moved over her engorged pleasure knot. They began to move in unison, each straining to give the other release. Suddenly, without warning, sensations enveloped them, surrounded them, and slammed into them. Each cried out the other’s name as they crested together.

“I don’t think I can move,” Willow said hoarsely after a moment. She held Tara close; the blonde half laying on her and half on the bed her head nestled on Willow’s shoulder. Sweat glistened on their skin and the room was filled with the delicious musky smell that was purely their own. Tara chuckled softly, causing Willow to smile.

“Well, then don’t,” she told the redhead practically.

“I won’t,” Willow said firmly. “And if you could see me you’d know that I have on my resolve face,” she giggled. Tara chuckled again and squeezed the body beneath her. Willow kissed the top of Tara’s head, her heart full of emotion.

“I love you baby,” Willow whispered softly, tears of happiness springing to her eyes.

“I love you too,” Tara replied raising her head. She looked at Willow deeply before lowering her lips once more to Willow’s.

* * *

“Hey Tracy!” Dawn greeted the brunette, later that afternoon after opening the front door. She held a hand to her side gingerly. The pain from the wound had subsided to a dull ache.

“Hey Dawn,” Tracy said, she looked away nervously. “Uh, is Willow home?” she asked shifting her weight from one foot to the other. Myra’s demands still rang in her ears. She was to seduce Willow to their cause, with her body or with force if necessary.

“Sure, she’s upstairs,” Dawn answered moving aside to let the woman in. “She’s in her room. You can go on up if you’d like.”

“Oh, okay,” the brunette nodded. She looked around trying to find out if anyone else was home. Tracy thought she heard voices coming from the kitchen but wasn’t sure. “Uh, I’m not disturbing anything am I?”

“No,” Dawn shrugged. “Tara’s cooking and I think Buffy is trying to help her,” she giggled. Tracy nodded again and looked to the stairs.

“Uh, I’ll just go and talk to Willow,” she gestured weakly. Dawn nodded and moved back to the couch and the television. Tracy took a deep breath and headed up the stairs.

“Is it ready so soon?” Willow asked happily. She was just finishing making the bed when she heard the bedroom door open. With a smile the redhead turned to face the newcomer. Her smile faltered slightly when she saw Tracy. “Hey Tracy,” she frowned. “We didn’t have a study session planned did we?” Tracy moved into the room and shut the door.

“No,” she answered looking at the redhead. Willow frowned again. Tracy looked funny, kind of dazed and wild eyed. “Willow, there’s something I have to say to you.”

“Uh, okay,” Willow agreed quickly. She interlocked her fingers in front of her, her thumb toying with the new silver band.

“I, uh, I don’t know how to say this so I’ll just come out and say it,” Tracy moved deeper into the room. Her eyes looked at everything but Willow. The redhead waited patiently.

“Willow, in the time we have spent together I’ve learned something about myself,” Tracy began. She looked at Willow before quickly adverting her eyes. “I’ve also learned what you mean to me.”

“What I mean to you?” frowned Willow confused. “I don’t understand.”

“Willow, I’m in love with you,” Tracy said in a rush, disgusted with herself. She clenched a fist at her side and lightly pounded her thigh with it. She hated that she was doing this, lying to her friend, but she had no choice. Tracy kept saying that to herself.

“In love?” Willow was shocked, she took a step back. “In love? With me? Uh, Tracy,” she paused and swallowed hard. “Uh, Tracy, I like you and all, but,” she began, shaking her head wildly.

“No, Willow, I know you feel it too,” Tracy interrupted her moving closer to her again.

“No, uh Tracy, I’m sorry if you misunderstood anything but, I, uh, I’m with Tara,” Willow told her firmly, holding up a hand to stop Tracy’s progress to her. Tracy shook her head.

“I don’t believe that,” she said. Tracy took a deep breath and decided to use the extra ammunition that Myra had provided her with. “I can offer you so much more than she can,” her voice dropped low, soft, seductive. “I can offer you magic,” she stressed the word. Willow’s head snapped back as if she had been slapped.

“I can give you Dark Magick, all that you can handle and then some,” Tracy told her. She moved closer to the wide-eyed redhead. She didn’t know how Myra knew that Willow had a problem with magic as the redhead had never discussed it with her, but she could tell by the look on Willow’s face that Myra had been right.

“I c-can’t,” Willow shook her head and stepped back again. The bed stopped her progress. “Tracy, please,” her voice shook as sweat popped out on her forehead. Her whole body began to tremble as it began to crave what Tracy was offering. Tracy smiled and stepped closer.

“Yes you can,” the brunette said softly.

* * *

“Hey Dawnie, you hungry?” Tara asked coming out of the kitchen. She smiled at the teen that sat on the couch glued to the television. Dawn’s head perked up at the mention of food.

“Yup! Oh I hope you made extra,” she said standing up. Tara looked at her questioningly. “Willow’s friend Tracy is here,” Dawn told her, moving past her going to the kitchen. The blonde frowned and looked up at the ceiling. Still frowning she made her way to the stairs.

As she walked up the stairs a sense of foreboding filled her. A feeling of dread and panic settled in her stomach. Hurrying she went to the closed door of their bedroom. Taking a deep breath she swung the door open. Her heart dropped at the sight before her. Red-hot anger quickly followed the dismay. She took a step into the room.

“Hey!” she shouted. Tracy, her hands on Willow’s cheeks turned to look at Tara as she stepped into the room. Willow looked pale and she was shaking, Tracy frowned slightly, looking a little unsure as if she didn’t know what her next move should be. “What the hell are you doing?” Tara demanded, sure that Tracy had been about to kiss her girlfriend.

“Tara,” Willow began her voice hoarse, she tried to move around Tracy but the brunette stepped in front of her.

“What does it look like we’re doing?” Tracy asked with bravado that she didn’t feel.

“No, Tara, please,” Willow said before doubling over clutching her stomach. “Not now,” she whispered to herself, fighting the craving, the ache that threatened to consume her.

“I think you better back off and get the hell out of here,” Tara said to Tracy her teeth clenched. She had never in her life wanted to hit someone more than she did at that moment. Tara’s eyes snapped angrily as they bored into Tracy’s.

“I think it’s you that needs to leave, Tara,” Tracy said raising her chin, willing herself to pull this off.

“What’s going on here?” Buffy asked coming up behind Tara having been drawn by the raised voices. Her eyes took in the scene quickly. “Willow?” she asked concern lacing her voice. Tara’s head snapped away from Tracy and her anger quickly fled at the sight of her lover crumpled on the floor, her face contorted in pain.

“Tara, oh God, Tara,” Willow cried out rocking against the pain. Tears squeezed out from beneath her closed eyelids. Tracy looked wildly between the three women. She knew that Myra’s first plan wouldn’t work. Tracy reached behind her and quickly drew the knife she had stuck into the waistband of her jeans. She reached down and pulled Willow to her feet, holding the knife to her throat.

“I didn’t want to do it this way,” she muttered. “Stay back!” she warned Buffy as the Slayer moved toward them. She held the knife tighter to Willow’s throat. The redhead whimpered in pain. Her eyes were glazed over and to Tara’s horror they shifted color until they were coal black. In the blink of an eye they returned to Willow’s normal color.

“Okay Tracy, now just take it easy,” Buffy said calmly, her hands held out in front of her. Her eyes never left Tracy’s. “What do you want?”

“I want Willow, that’s all that I want,” was the answer. “You two just back up and we will be on our way.” Tracy felt fear slice into her. She had known Myra’s plan wouldn’t work. She desperately tried to think of a way out of this situation.

“It’s never gonna happen Tracy,” Buffy told her plainly. “Now just put the knife down and let Willow go.”

“I can’t,” Tracy cried. “I can’t. You don’t understand! I need her,” Tracy’s voice cracked. Buffy watched as the woman holding a knife to her best friend grew more agitated. Buffy’s whole body was tense as she waited for her opportunity.

“Tracy, please don’t do this,” whispered Tara. Tracy whipped in her direction, positioning Willow in front of her. Willow’s hands were on her forearm, holding on. Willow whimpered again as the knife pressed closer, drawing a thin line of blood.

“Get back, please get back,” begged Tracy, she felt herself quickly loosing control. “You don’t understand. She’ll hurt Jenny.”

“Jenny?” asked Buffy confused. “Who's Jenny? Willow will hurt Jenny?”

“No! Now please step away from the door and just let us go,” Tracy pleaded, her voice shaking with fear and agitation.

“I can’t do that Tracy,” Buffy told her anger pouring off her in waves. “You aren’t leaving this house with Willow.”

“Buffy, please don’t make me do this,” Tracy replied her eyes filled with pain, but also with a firm resolve.

“Buffy,” whispered Tara, suddenly afraid for Willow. Her mind cast about trying to come up with a spell or anything to get Tracy away from Willow. Suddenly her eyes widened as a spell came to mind. Tara muttered something under breath and flicked her wrist. The knife spun out of Tracy’s hand and landed against the far wall. Tracy’s mouth hung open in surprise. Before she could react Buffy had pulled Willow from her arms and shoved her in Tara’s direction.

“Okay, now I can go Slayer on your ass,” Buffy muttered clenching her fist and raising it. Tracy screamed and fell to her knees cowering at Buffy’s feet. Buffy looked confused. “Okay,” she drawled out slowly lowering her arm.

Tara frowned over Willow’s head. She watched as Tracy huddled on the floor trying to make herself as small as possible. Something clicked as she watched Tracy cower in fear. Buffy stepped closer, grabbed the brunette’s shirt pulling her up. Buffy’s arm pulled back again.

“No Buffy, don’t!” Tara shouted stopping the blonde. Buffy turned with a frown.

“Why?” she demanded angrily. “She held a knife to Willow’s throat!”

Tara, still holding a shaking Willow moved closer, her eyes searching Tracy’s face, recognizing the fear in the other woman’s face. Her attention was pulled away from Tracy as Willow slumped to the floor crying out. As Tara watched sweat poured from Willow and she began to shiver uncontrollably.

“Buffy, take Tracy downstairs,” she ordered softly, her eyes on Willow. “Don’t hurt her, just take her downstairs.” Buffy looked at the blonde before looking back at her best friend. She recognized the signs of Willow’s withdraw.

“All right, but as soon as we get some answers I get to pummel her right?” she demanded with a frown. Tracy shrank back away from her. “Come on,” Buffy grumbled pulling Tracy along behind her. She was still grumbling as she tromped down the stairs.

“Will? Come on baby,” Tara said softly, gently as she bent down. She brushed a sweat soaked lock of hair away from Willow’s forehead. The blonde guessed that Willow was fighting her addiction. What she wondered though was what had caused the craving.

“Tara, it hurts! Please make it stop,” Willow grimaced. Her eyes were haunted and her face was pale. “I didn’t do any magic! I swear I didn’t,” she panted afraid that Tara wouldn’t believe her.

“I know baby, I know,” the blonde told her. Tara sat down, leaned against the bed and pulled Willow into her embrace. She gently rocked the woman, stroking her hair, trying to calm her down.

“Tara, I’m sorry,” Willow cried. Her horror at almost giving in warred with her horror at having Tara see her like this.

“Shh, it’s okay,” Tara said, before placing a kiss on Willow’s head. “Come with me Will,” she urged softly.

“Where are we going?” asked Willow her voice still trembling. She gasped as a cramp twisted her bowels into a knot, her fingers dug painfully into Tara’s arms.

“We’re going on a picnic, just you and me, okay baby?” Tara told her, still rocking her.

“Just you and me?”

“Yeah, we are in the clearing at our tree,” Tara kept her voice calm, even though her thoughts and feelings were running chaotically through her.

“I like our tree,” Willow’s voice was barely a whisper. Her eyes were open but vacant as if she was picturing them at their tree.

“Me too,” agreed Tara.

“What are we doing there?” Willow asked just before another cramp gripped her. Tara found herself fighting back tears.

“We are sitting on a blanket and I am feeding you grapes,” was the answer. Willow chuckled weakly.

“Grapes? Like some vestal virgin?” she looked up at Tara and the blonde grinned impishly at her.

“Not quite,” she kissed Willow’s nose.

“Are there any animals around?” Willow questioned her voice almost childlike.

“Yes, many many animals. There is a squirrel sitting over our heads on a branch and a momma and poppa rabbit with their babies are sitting across from us.”

“I like rabbits,” Willow said her breath coming in quick gasps as she tried to ride through another wave of pain and longing.

“Me too, just don’t tell Anya,” chuckled Tara, holding Willow tight. The redhead’s breath slowed as the pain eased up only to be back in a flash as another wave slammed into her.

“Won’t, promise,” she said through clenched teeth. “What else?” Willow breathed when the pain subsided again.

“Where there is a horse eating some grass, not a arm munching horse, he’s a good horse,” Tara was quick to reassure the woman in her arms.

“Good,” ground out Willow as she was racked with another cramp. Tara almost cried out in pain herself as Willow’s fingers gripped her harder.

“And on another branch of the tree are two birds serenading us. The sun is shining bright and a soft breeze is blowing,” Tara lost herself in the story she was telling hoping to get Willow’s mind off the craving. “And off in the distance there are little kids playing a game, we can hear their laughter.”

“I like it when little kids laugh,” Willow piped up, her trembling had eased somewhat and the cramps were tapering off.

“Me too. I’m feeding you grapes and you are smiling,” Tara said going back to her story.

“What are we wearing?” Willow wanted to know. Tara was at a loss.

“Uh, nothing?” she queried. Willow chuckled softly.

“We’re naked? Outside? In the daytime?” she wanted to know. Tara giggled and hugged the woman. She could tell the magic’s hold on Willow was lessening.

“Yep, naked,” she grinned.

“Okay,” Willow sighed. Tara raised her eyebrows in surprise. Her redhead was not a prude but she was still very shy about some things.

“Okay?” she questioned. “You okay with being naked outside?”

“As long as I’m with you I don’t care,” Willow told her snuggling deeper into Tara’s embrace. The blonde held her close placing another kiss on her forehead. The two fell silent.

“Thank you,” Willow said softly a few moments later. The cravings had subsided and the cramps had left. She still felt shaky but she knew she would be okay now. The worst part was over.

“You don’t need to thank me, baby, I’m here for you,” Tara told her.

“I was lost,” Willow said her voice small.

“And I found you,” was Tara’s firm response. Willow lifted her head, her eyes searching Tara’s. The love she felt for the blonde flooded her vision. “I’ll always find you,” Tara said fiercely. Willow’s eyes filled with tears.

“I love you,” the redhead rasped. She pressed her lips against Tara’s needing to reconnect with her lover.

“I love you,” answered Tara after the kiss was broken. Willow snuggled back into her embrace.

“Will,” Tara said a few minutes later. “What was going on with Tracy?” she tried to keep the hurt and anger out of her voice, but was unable to. Willow moved out of Tara’s embrace. The blonde lowered her eyes, concealing the emotion in them.

“Magic,” Willow said as she cupped Tara’s chin and raised her face. She looked deep into Tara’s eyes. “She offered me magic,” Willow quickly told the blonde of the strange conversation she had had with Tracy before Tara had entered the room.

“She tempted you with magic?” Tara demanded angrily. Her eyes flashed blue fire.

“Yes,” Willow answered. “But I didn’t give in. Baby I didn’t give in!” her eyes pleaded with Tara.

“That’s right, you didn’t. I’m so proud of you,” Tara took the redhead in her arms and held her tight.

“I couldn’t, I don’t want to go back there. I can’t go back there,” Willow cried clinging to Tara.

“You won’t go back, I promise you,” Tara swore vehemently. “I promise you.” The two women clung to each other, letting the love they felt surround and soothe them.

Postby MissQuirky » Wed Sep 11, 2002 2:20 pm

Woo Hoo an update!! :bounce Which was very good Wendy!! I'm glad Anya and Dawnie were ok!! :)

I Love how the scoobies just assumed the whole eloping thing. So are they gonna fix things or just keep them believing that? I think they should have some fun and keep it like it is and maybe real soon it will be true! :)

The whole Tracy thing was, grrrr! I really really don't like her or Myra! I hated that Tracy offered magic to Willow! But i'm happy that Will didn't cast. She's come along way, very strong! The whole holding a knife to Wills neck was not a very happy joy joy moment either!

So is Tracy gonna speak up bout the whole thing dealing w/ Myra and wut there gonna do? I think if Buffy tried hard enough she could get it out of her! But w/ force of course I think Tracy needs some.

The lil story Tara told Will to help get over her craving was very sweet! Tara is just sweet! :)

Well I hope u will update some more today!! I beg u, Me want more... pretty pleaaassseee!!! :pray

~Ashley~

Willow: We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know... insane.
Tara: I said quirky.

I am proud of Willow, resisting the magic. Also felt so sorry for her, having to fight magic again :( , very moving part.

Now what to do about Tracy... thats kinda hard to say.. she really should have asked for help before she did any of this. Asking for help after committing a crime is a bit late and not very convincing.

Myra should be shot or fed to Spike of course. Evil woman.

I was kinda supprised Tara had to actually think before she remebered the knife-pull-away-spell, I would have thought that spell would be pretty much on standbye all the time in Sunnydale :D .

Ghostwriter glad to see two wonderful updates! Again I must say I love the way you write/portray Anya, it's so spot on. I got a kick at of her thrill at exclaiming, ("You've got hickies!"), being annoyed at the idea W&T "eloped", but then smugly being pacified at Tara's assertion "this was just for us", with Anya saying, ("So you could have sex right away"), :lol , and of course, Anya's desperate need to make sure her money was "safe" by going to the Magic Box when she should of been resting.

Also liked how at first Tara felt a tad uncomfortable with seeing their bedroom as "Willow's", but I loved how Willow put Tara at ease by pointing out the symbolism of their rings, ("When I put that ring on your finger you became my future. Where you go I go."). Also thought their love-making (which was :thud worthy, sensual, but most importantly conveyed the depth of their bond/love), was a wonderful way to "reclaim" the room (ie making it their bedroom). And again I enjoyed how Tara was being the "vixen", by making Willow verbalize she wanted to be touched.

Lastly, I still have a bit a sympathy for Tracy, although my patience is running thin with her. I understand she is desperate, and she is only following through because of the abuse, as well as the fear of what Myra will do to her daughter. However, pulling a knife on Willow, as well as tempting her with dark magick is going over the line. I did like though, how when Buffy wanted to "kick her ass", a connection seemed to form when Tara noticed the fear as Tracy was cowering (ie Tara maybe recognized the signs of abuse/fear she suffered in her own family). With this in mind, in order for Tracy to heal (as well as make-up for what she has done) she needs to confide in the gang about Myra's plans, and then maybe she will have a chance to break free from the cycle of abuse she finds herself in. And I must say I loved the story Tara told to help Willow with her craving. Or in other words, this just emphasizes so well the strength of their connection, and how together as a team they can overcome any obstacles that get in their path. Can't wait for the next part!

New update and replies

Postby Ghostwriter » Wed Sep 11, 2002 4:06 pm

MissQuirky: Ashley, I’m glad you liked the update. Thank you for reading. As for what happens with Tracy and Myra, well, that shall be revealed. And since you begged so nicely, I’ll update again.

Grimlock72: Thanks for reading! As for Tracy, well, Myra’s hold is very strong. I like your idea of Myra’s fate!! As for Tara and the spell, my take on it is that Tara doesn’t think of magic first. Anyway, thanks for reading!

edited to add response to VampNo12

VampNo12: I can’t believe I missed your post, it must have happened while I was posting! But thanks for reading. I’m glad you like my Anya, she’s so much fun. And I got another THUD from you! Thanks for that. I too liked the way they “reclaimed” the room. As for Tracy, she is in a very bad place and unsure how to get out or ask for help. It’s amazing what families will put you through. She reacted out of fear of her sister, but in the process she was appalled by what she did to Willow. I’m glad you liked the story that Tara told Willow. It has always been my thought that the only one to help Willow work through her addiction was Tara. Their connection and bond is very deep and one would be lost without the other. And, luckily enough, you don’t have to wait for the next part!! Thanks for reading.

As promised here is another update.

Part Thirteen

Buffy scowled at the woman on the couch as she stood in front of it. Her arms were crossed. With another scowl she continued pacing. Tracy flinched and lowered her head. She sat with her arms wrapped around herself shrinking into the corner of the couch.

“If she’s not okay, I am so going to hurt you,” Buffy growled as she paced. Dawn, sitting in the armchair watched her sister. Tracy whimpered and lowered her head further. “I’ll beat you to a bloody pulp,” she muttered. The brunette began to shake uncontrollably. Buffy stopped pacing when she heard Willow and Tara come down the stairs.

“You okay?” she asked Willow without any preamble.

“Yeah, I’m good,” Willow answered. She was still pale, and her eyes looked large, but the craving had stopped. The wound at her neck had been cleaned and Tara had put an antiseptic ointment on it. Willow looked over at Tracy her eyes hardened slightly.

“Tracy, why?” Willow asked. Willow moved over to the other woman, she felt Tara’s comforting presence behind her.

“I had no choice,” muttered the brunette not looking up.

“Sure you did, you chose to hold a knife to Willow’s throat,” Buffy said angrily. Tracy cowered away from the anger in Buffy’s voice.

“Please don’t let her hurt me,” she sobbed her face a tight mask of fear. Willow frowned and looked at the quivering woman in front of her.

“Hurt you! You need a good ass kicking!” Buffy yelled. She took a step toward Tracy, but Tara stopped her with a hand on her arm.

“No Buffy, let me,” she told the angry Slayer softly. Tara, her eyes still on the brunette slowly walked over and sat down carefully on the couch next to her. Tracy shrunk away.

“Tracy, did someone hurt you?” Tara asked her voice low and soothing. Tracy hesitated then nodded.

“Who?” Dawn asked sitting forward in her chair.

“My sister,” Tracy answered her voice barely above a whisper. “She made me come here, I didn’t want to,” Tracy looked up her eyes fearful. “You have to believe me. I didn’t want to do this!”

“Then why Tracy?” asked Tara her voice still low. Tracy lowered her head in shame.

“Because Myra will kill my daughter if I don’t do what she wants,” was the soft answer.

“What?” Buffy and Willow asked together, surprised.

“Myra has my daughter, she’s only four, I had her when I was seventeen. She took Jenny and hid her,” tears came to Tracy’s eyes as she thought of her young daughter.

“And Myra hits you?” questioned Tara. Her heart went out to this woman. She knew what it was like to be the brunt of a family members rage. Tracy nodded again.

“It’s my fault that she does. I don’t listen to her,” her voice was filled with misery and self-loathing.

“No Tracy,” Tara disagreed shaking her head, she lowered her own, her eyes still on Tracy as she tried to make eye contact with the other woman. “It’s not your fault. It’s never been your fault. It’s all Myra’s fault not yours.”

“You can’t know that,” Tracy whispered not looking up.

“Yes I can,” Tara replied just as softly her eyes boring into Tracy. The other woman looked up in surprise at Tara’s conviction. The two women looked at each other, while realization slowly set in. Tracy’s eyes widened in surprise as Tara nodded.

“Okay, I don’t get it,” Buffy spoke up uncrossing her arms. “Why did your sister tell you to come here and kill Will?”

“She doesn’t want to kill Willow,” Tracy answered looking at Buffy quickly before skittering her eyes away. The others shared a confused look.

“Well what does she want?” demanded Buffy.

“She needs Willow for a spell she’s going to do,” Tracy said softly not looking at anyone; she kept her head firmly bowed. “Myra wants to do a spell and her magic isn’t strong enough to perform it.”

“The spell!” Willow said in a panic. “The spell to undue our resurrection spell!” the redhead’s hands started to flail as she tried to control her rising panic. Tracy looked up confused.

“No, she has a spell to restore Glorificus, a Hell God,” Tracy told them.

* * *

“You’re not serious?” Buffy asked incredulously. A knock on the door didn’t draw her attention away from the still seated Tracy. She put her hands on her hips and stared at Tracy as Xander and Anya came in.

“Hey, what’s the what?” Xander asked feeling the tension in the room.

“Seems we have a problem,” Buffy spat angrily. In short clipped tones she quickly filled Xander and Anya in on the recent events. Tracy sat with a crestfallen expression on her face.

“You’re not serious?” Xander exploded after hearing of Myra’s plan, repeating Buffy’s words.

“Holy moly,” Anya muttered sitting down on the arm of Dawn’s chair.

“I’m afraid so,” Tracy said sadly.

“When?” the Slayer demanded.

“What?” asked Tracy her eyes blinking in surprise.

“When will she do this spell to restore Glory?”

“I’m not sure,” Tracy answered sadly.

“You can’t be more specific?” Xander wanted to know. Willow moved to sit next to Tara and took the blonde’s hand. Both looked a little shell-shocked. Glory did not bring up good memories for the two recently reunited witches.

“I’m sorry,” was the soft reply from Tracy. “I don’t know what else she needs for the spell.”

“What does she have?” asked Willow rousing herself. She gave Tara’s hand a gentle squeeze and the blonde gave her a weak smile.

“She has the Codex, the blood of the enemy of the Beast and the Key’s essence, all wrapped up into one,” Tracy said bitterly cutting her eyes at Dawn, remembering what she had done.

“It was you,” Buffy accused hoarsely, her eyes wide. “It was you who attacked us with those demons!” Tracy nodded her head miserably. She lowered her eyes again. Buffy’s eyes narrowed dangerously and she took a step toward the brunette prepared to show her what Slayer Strength meant, but Tara just shook her head, stopping Buffy. The Slayer growled and crossed her arms angrily. She really wanted to hit something, preferably the brunette on the couch.

“Uh, I’m not the Key anymore,” Dawn spoke up. “Well at least if I am I don’t open anything,” she shrugged and managed a small smile.

“It doesn’t matter,” Anya said looking down at the teen in the chair. “Your blood still has mystical properties, that will never change.”

“Oh great,” muttered Dawn.

“What else,” Buffy demanded her eyes hard. Tracy swallowed her eyes on Buffy.

“The spell requires the Dagger of Milichaun and a Host, I don’t know if she has those,” Tracy told her truthfully.

“What does this millisecond dagger do?” Buffy wanted to know.

“Mil-I-shawn,” Anya pronounced it slowly and carefully. “The Dagger of Milichaun is a ceremonial dagger used in resurrection spells. It’s used to draw the blood of the Host,” she supplied, pleased with her helpfulness.

“The Host?” Xander asked looking at Anya.

“Yes.”

“W-what’s a host?” Tara questioned.

“Just what it says,” Anya shrugged. “It’s used to host the essence of the demon or in this case the God you want to restore. Glory’s physical form was destroyed when she was cast out of her Hell dimension, that’s why she was sharing Ben’s.”

“Wait, Ben was Glory?” Xander asked looking confused and startled by this revelation. “Oh wait! That’s right! Lost focus for a minute,” he looked around with a sheepish grin.

“So, if Myra has this dagger and the other stuff she can bring Glory back?” asked Buffy bluntly ignoring Xander’s lame attempt at humor.

“Yes,” Tracy answered her voice barely above a whisper.

“Great!” Buffy threw her hands up. “Just great! We kill the skanky Hell God only to have someone try to bring her back!”

“So your sister has a serious case of the Glory envy,” Xander said to Tracy. The brunette sadly nodded her head.

“Who could be this Host?” Tara asked turning to look at Tracy.

“Anyone I think, Myra never said,” Tracy shrugged.

“Great!” sighed Buffy, flopping down in the chair opposite the couch. “So any one of our Sunnydale residents could end up playing house with the skank God from Hell.”

“Well look at the bright side,” Xander piped up. “At least we know that Willow won’t be helping her with the spell.” He cleared his throat and backed away to sit in the other wing backed chair as the women all glared at him. He needed male friends he thought to himself.

“There may be someone else strong enough in Sunnydale to help her,” pointed out Willow reluctantly.

“This spell requires serious mojo right?” Xander asked.

“Yeah, a spell of this size would require someone very skilled and powerful,” Anya told him.

“So we just need to check out the local mojo clubs or where ever the powerful mojo workers hang and keep them away from Myra,” Xander pointed out happy to have found a plan. “What?” he demanded as the women glared at him again. He really needed male friends he thought again.

“Well, I need to hit the streets, shake down Willy again,” Buffy sighed standing up. “You guys get to the Magic Box and research this spell, find out everything you can and figure out a way to stop it. Tara can you cast a location spell on this millisecond dagger?”

“Sure, I think there may be a picture of it in one of the books at the shop,” the blonde agreed quickly.

“Good,” Buffy nodded and looked at Willow. “Will, look through your usual sources, see if there are any suspicious disappearance,” she grimaced. “Okay, any unusually suspicious disappearances. We need to find this Host.” Buffy turned her attention back to Tracy.

"Where can I find your sister?"

"She may be at our house," Tracy answered softly.

"Any idea where she is keeping your daughter?" Buffy wanted to know. Tracy just shook her head, tears springing to her eyes. Buffy sighed. "Ok, well, I'll check out your house, kick Myra's ass and find your daughter." Buffy mentally added these things to her "to do" list.

“What about her?” Xander asked softly, jerking his chin toward the still cowering Tracy. Buffy sighed again.

“Keep her with you,” she said almost regretfully. She really didn’t know what else to do with her. Well, she knew what she wanted to do but for some reason Tara seemed to think they couldn’t pummel her. Tracy kept her head down to hide the tears pooling in her eyes.

* * *

“Any luck?” Willow questioned much later. They had convened at the Magic Box and hurried about their tasks. Tracy was told to sit in a chair at the research table and not move. Xander sighed and slammed the book he was reading shut and leaned back in his chair.

“Nada,” he grumped reaching for another book.

“Dawnie how about you?” the redhead asked turning to look at the teenager. Dawn had bugged them until they agreed to let her help.

The bell over the door twinkled almost angrily as Buffy strode in. They all looked up. Willow frowned at the thundercloud look that was pressed onto Buffy’s face.

“No luck?” ventured Xander.

“Nothing. Just rumors of a big bad blowing in,” Buffy said in disgust sitting down. “Willy did tell me about some blonde chick who hired some Menarc demons. Menarc demons are cute demons with gray skin and dreadlocks that shoot poisoned darts. I’m assuming that’s Myra?” she shot the question at Tracy. The brunette just nodded sadly.

“Did you guys find anything?” the Slayer asked looking around the room. The faces around her looked away, not wanting to meet her eyes. Buffy sighed again. It was silent as the Scoobies bent their heads back to their research.

Willow tried to concentrate on the screens on her laptop. At the edge of her consciousness though, she felt the familiar rush of a spell being spoken. She could tell that is was Tara’s location spell. The blonde Wiccan was attempting the spell again. Willow shook her head, pushing thoughts of magic away. The redhead settled herself, once more intent on her search.

Once again she felt at the edge, a rush, a tingling sensation at the base of her skull, a pressure behind her eyes. The familiar sensations associated with Dark Magick. Her skin started to tingle and her heart raced. Willow sat back and took a deep breath; she could almost taste the magic in the air. The magic felt closer now. Her eyes widened. It was coming from the training room, the room where Tara was. Willow stood up suddenly, knocking her chair over. Xander and Buffy looked up in surprise. Anya shut the cash register drawer, a slight frown marring her features. Her customer just took the bag and left, glancing over her shoulder on her way out the door.

“Will? What’s wrong?” Buffy asked. Willow’s face went deathly pale and her eyes were wide. “Will?” Buffy’s voice was tight with concern.

“Tara,” Willow managed. “There’s Dark Magick in there,” the redhead gasped.

Willow hugged her arms tight against her stomach as she felt the ache begin. The tightening, the craving, rolled around her stomach, causing her to break out in a light sweat. The stink of Dark Magick floated to her in waves soaking into her skin. Xander shot to his feet and ran into the room. Anya moved closer her eyes intently staring at Willow. Tracy shrank into herself and watched.

“Open your eyes!” Anya demanded harshly.

“What?” Buffy asked looking at the ex-demon confused. She looked back at Willow and suddenly she realized what Anya meant and moved to Willow, grabbing the redhead’s arms.

“Open your eyes Will!” she shook Willow and the witch’s head fell back, her eyes snapped open, they were coal black.

“Not good,” Anya muttered, concern on her face. Dawn stood up and backed away, afraid.

“Fight it Will!” Buffy shook Willow her own fear in her voice. “C’mon Willow you’ve come too far to lose it now!” shouted the Slayer. She couldn’t tell if Willow heard her or not.

As Anya and Buffy watched, Willow’s eyes drained of their black color and returned to their normal shade. Just as quickly they returned to black. The Slayer and the ex-demon watched in surprise as the two colors fought for dominance. Slowly the black ebbed away to be replaced by Willow’s green. The redhead sagged, exhausted from her internal battle. Buffy kept her from falling.

“Buffy!” Xander’s panicked cry drifted to them.

“Tara,” whispered Willow her face an agonized mask.

“Buffy!” Xander cried out again. Willow took a step toward the room. Buffy stopped her with a hand to her arm.

“Willow, you can’t,” Buffy said softly, her voice filled with the pain she knew her friend was feeling.

“Buffy, I have to,” Willow told her, her own voice cracking with emotion. Her eyes brimmed with tears. “I have to!” Buffy looked at her friend for a long moment before finally nodding once. She released the witch and stepped back.

“Buffy…” Anya began looking between the two women.

“Not now Anya,” interrupted the Slayer, her voice firm.

Willow walked slowly and carefully toward the practice room. She seemed almost afraid, small and alone. Willow was visibly trembling but her pale face was a picture of resolve. Tara was in there, and something was happening. The closer she got the more her body hummed with energy from the Dark Magick. A serious spell was being preformed. Willow didn’t recognize the energy from the spell. She did know that it was not Tara. Anya, Buffy and Dawn followed her. Tracy realizing that their attention was focused elsewhere slowly got up and headed quietly to the door, slipping out without anyone noticing.

Willow entered the room with the others behind her. The redhead’s eyes were drawn to the blonde in the center of the room.

Tara was in the middle of a circle, her eyes closed in intense concentration. Surrounding her was a white glow covering her like an over turned cup. The white light was encased by a moving black energy. It crawled around the light, probing, trying to penetrate the shield. It pulsed obscenely as it struck the shield. A low hum of energy filled the room. As they watched the white shield began to grow smaller and the black energy grew larger, writhing and pulsating faster. Willow knew if the black energy broke through and touched Tara the blonde would die.

“Oh God,” she whispered agonized, her eyes wide.

“What in the world?” Buffy asked moving past Willow, her eyes focused on the blonde witch. Xander was standing there cradling his hand.

“Buffy! Don’t!” Willow shouted. Buffy stopped dead in her tracks. Anya rushed to Xander’s side reaching for his hand.

“Xander! Your hand!” her voice was thick with concern.

“It’s okay Anya. That thing shocked me when I tried to touch Tara,” he told her, his eyes still on the pulsating energy.

“Step back all of you,” Willow’s voice was hollow. The other’s looked at her. Willow’s hands were spread at her sides, palms facing the pulsating energy. Her eyes had turned coal black again. There was magic crackling from her fingertips.

“Willow! No!” Buffy shouted realizing what Willow was going to do.

“Step back Buffy,” the redhead repeated her voice firm.

Willow moved to stand directly in front of the seated blonde. Willow’s face was constricted with pain as she struggled to control the magic, the addiction sang through her veins.

Tara’s eyes snapped opened as if she sensed Willow’s presence. Their eyes met and held as Willow began an incantation. The words meant nothing to the others. As she spoke magic crackled from her fingers again. She flexed her fingers preparing to throw the spell at the black energy.

“Willow no!” Tara’s voice shouted in her mind. The redhead faltered. She looked at the blonde. Tara’s eyes were boring into her. “Let the magic go. Don’t do this!”

“I have to,” Willow replied silently her eyes pleading with Tara to understand.

“No Willow, if you give in now then you will be lost.”

“But you will find me, you promised!” Willow raged at her. “I have to help you.”

“You can help me by not doing this,” Tara told her. “Please baby, don’t do this, don’t give in!” Tara silently begged.

“Tara,” whispered Willow aloud. She dropped to her knees in front of Tara. As she watched the white shield grew smaller. “Please,” her voice cracked and a sob was torn from her.

“It’ll be okay Willow,” Tara’s voice was full of love as it filled Willow’s mind. “I love you,” her voice faded away as she closed her eyes. Willow sobbed and reached out to toward her love the heat crackling from the black energy stopped her. Tara’s lips moved silently.

The black energy boiled angrily as it tried to get past the barrier. The white shield surrounding Tara began to expand and the light intensified. The black energy massed together and imploded, the blast rocking through the room, throwing Willow back against the wall. Buffy struggled to keep her footing as well as keeping Dawn from falling.

“Willow!” cried Tara rushing to her fallen lover. She cradled Willow’s head in her lap. Her fingers searched for blood. Willow groaned as Tara hit on the sore spot. “Oh Willow,” Tara felt hot tears spill from her eyes.

“Why would she try that?” Xander asked his voice tight with worry. He had hoped never to see black-eyed Willow again.

“She was trying to protect me,” Tara said softly, her fingers stroking Willow’s face. A tear fell onto Willow’s cheek and her eyes fluttered open. Her clear eyes met Tara’s.

“Don’t cry,” Willow whispered. “It’s okay Baby. I’m okay,” Her eyes closed and she fainted.

Oh two updates and the promise of more, can't argue with that. And all I have to do is play cards :D I am so happy with the way you wrote Willow and Tara here Wendy. We see Willow rejecting an offer of magic and Tara helping her through the withdrawls by telling her a story and holding her. I also like how they can't seem to keep their hands off each other when they are alone, that's how it should be.

Looking forward to the last 3 parts, this story is great.

Puff, thanks for reading. I posted part 13 while you were posting, second time today that has happened. Anyway, I'm glad you liked Willow and Tara's interaction. I agree with you, they should never stop touching each other! So, with the posting of 13 (see above) there are only 2 parts left, thanks for all of your comments, they have meant alot to me.

Congrats on the Extra Flamey Wendy :) I loved the update I was glad that Willow tried to help actually even though it was dark magic. I was even happier when Tara told her to stop and Willow managed it.

So the whole scooby gang knows what Myra's plan is and I have too say that I loved this moment.

“Wait, Ben was Glory?” Xander asked looking confused and startled by this revelation. “Oh wait! That’s right! Lost focus for a minute,” he looked around with a sheepish grin.

Damn that made me giggle, I almost snorted out my sprite. Only 2 parts left now and it's getting tense. I'm looking forward to the last updates to find out what happens.
