Hey everyone, I FINALLY saw the Buffy ad!! Lol okay I didn't get to tape it and I had to sit through 2 nights and many hours of tennis to finally catch it at 2am but, YAY!
Uhh Buffy comes back on Feb 4th? I don't know, I kinda doubt that, I mean the winter Olympics will jsut be starting so...Eh well lets just hope it's true!!

Maybe they meant Monday 4th March? As I said in a previous post, channel 7 Sydney have told me that Buffy will return in "early March"!

Yeah, I'd say that 4th March sounds like a more likely date. I've seen the "Charmed" ad even more lately! Grrr... and I've only seen the Buffy ad once! Argh! The thing that annoys me most about the "Charmed" ad is that there's so much of Rose McGowan. I don't hold anything agains't her... it's just hard to take the whole Prue/Shannen leaving the show thing.

As for the ch 7 promos (which I haven't seen yet), if anyone's seen the US promos, are they the same ones with a different voiceover? 'Cause the cheap-o Aussie companies tend to do that...

Well the only thing that has got me confused is that according the this weeks TV Week a lot of the Aussie soaps - All Saints etc are returning on Feb 13th which is right in the middle of the Winter games? So it might not be all that unrealistic to think that Buffy could be back early Feb too. Well I hope so cause I'm sick of waiting. Anyway if it wasn't coming back until March would they be advertising it so early?

You have a point there.......I'm sure they wouldn't advertise Buffy for a month before it returned, but then again, who knows what passes for intelligent thought in the mind of TV execs......

And I have to say that Rose McGowan in Charmed is what will prompt me to become a regular viewer. I tried before,as a close friend loves the show, but I just couldn't shake my impression of it as a D-grade Buffy. But with Rose on board, well, that will pique my interest

Bad news, I just got another e-mail from buffy.com.au saying that it isn't returning on Feb 4th as previously stated. Instead they are saying the 2 hour premiere will screen on Tuesday Feb 26th at 9:30pm. This sounds more feasible but still take it with a grain of salt as they have been wrong before.

I heard that it's starting on February 9, then going off air for the stupid Winter Olympics, then coming back on again after it finishes! I hope it's wrong, but it would be just like Chanel 7 to do something like that!!!

I wish with all my heart that Chanel 10 would buy the rights to Buffy! Chanel 7 have no respect for it's fanship.

God knows how many stupid mini-series they'll show, therefore putting Buffy off for a week at a time! And then, if there's any kind of crisis, Buffy's always the show to go... grrrrrhhhh....

My Spike: February 9th is a Saturday and also the day that that the poxy Winter Olympics start so I think we can rule that one out as a possibility.

Well, after what Ch10 did to Xena (cut it to pieces to keep it in a "childrens" timeslot) then cancelled it part way through a series, I wouldn't want the barbarians at Ch10 anywhere near Buffy. They are likely to want to put it on earlier to maximise advertising, and then attack it with their lethal scissors........

On a positive note, there is a mention in the SunHerald TV Guide of the "Buffy bites back" special being replayed on Fox8 this week (Tuesday, 7.30pm). This is a repeat of the special that was played last year. The writer (Scott Ellis) is very positive about the special and the series, and ends with this wish
"Now, if only they'd managed a few more shots of Evil Willow"

I'm so right there with him

And Buffy S5 starts on Fox8 next month too.

Season 3 is back on tonite. I just looked at the TV Guide. It's "The Wish" - just for those who wanted to know.

Bloody Hell! If they're showing repeats, why can't they just stick season6 6 on the bloody box?!?!? Grrr... this is soooo frustrating!!!

Well, I finally caught the promo - it was on during Home and Away. I think I might have given a bit too much away by admitting to having the tv on then but it was cool to see the promo. No Tara but a bit of Willow talking about raising the dead. Oh, and of course, Buffy's hand coming out of the grave. They're not leaving much of a mystery about things

Well, I must confess, I have been known to watch H & A upon occasion, but with UKTV playing double episodes of "Eastenders" I have abandoned the impossibly tanned and attractive teens of H&A......

Was the promo you saw the one where the announcer says "hands up who wants Buffy back" right before her hand shoots up out of the dirt?

Just saw a promo before the beginning of tonight's ep. It had Xander, then Willow and she said "We're bringing Buffy back!". I also saw Buffy's hand shoot up out of the ground and the Ch7 voice-over guy said "You can't keep a good slayer down."

That's it! It was mighty short.

Buffy must be the week after then - oh well if it moves to Monday nights then at least Monday will finally have a redeeming quality

Yay!! I didn't miss any Buffy while I was in the UK. Although I didn't get to watch any Buffy while I was there either.
So with any luck Buffy will start the week after, which of course, is when I am in Vietnam, dammit!

Fontaine: Thanks... I was guessing it was going to be the 04/03/02 (nice number, not as nice as tonight at 8.02pm = 20:02 20/02/2002(thanks Beowulf for pointing that out)). I guess that with Angel on WB and BTVS on UPN therefor no crossovers, they don't really need to run them in parallel.

Oh and thanks Dr.G for moving my post.... I should have did a bit more research here.. (really acting like a newbie )
