Answer to Wendy's quote game:

1. "It wasn't you... It wasn't you I was hating...."

Xander to Anya as he is jilting her. (And yeah, it really sounds like Buffy. I think it's supposed to.)

2. "Does this jerk ever shut up?"

Clem!!! About the very drunk and obnoxious Mr. Harris.

3. "Finish that sentence, and I guarantee you won't have anything to show."

Buffy. About the very drunk and obnoxious Mr. Harris.

4. "I need a beer."

FutureXander to FutureAnya.

5. "I guess they're all messed up."

Dawn, to her new friend, a demon teenager, about grown-ups.

6. "Anyone else waiting for it to go 'poof'? ... Maybe we can cover it with flowers."

Willow, about the dead demon.

7. "They were my light at the end of the tunnel.... I guess they were a train."

Buffy about X/A, post-wedding.

Go Clem! Heh, that reinforces my theory that the demons in attendance are going to be less heinous than the Harris clan.

"They've faced vampires... demons... even a God! But now it's time for their most fearsome foe yet... Uncle Rory."

As for W/T... I'll admit it's a bit unsettling to have no info on the final episodes yet, but my gut feeling is still that our girls will fade to the background after they get back together, just as they did in Season 4 after NMR. There's just too much else going on to start a new W/T storyline just as the break-up one finishes.

No, actually Bob, this time it was Wendy who posted the game to the BC&S (with Angel X's approval, I believe.) Dunno why Michelle didn't do it this time.

But are we talking about a new storyline, Bob?

You said after OAFA that you thought we'd have one more episode this season where Willow would be brought to some sort of crisis point. Wouldn’t it seem likely that such a moment would occur during the final eps?

I just think getting Tara back doesn’t automatically resolve all of Willow’s issues and I find it hard to believe that as prominent as Willow’s story arc has been this season that she won’t have at least one addiction-related moment coming up during the final eps.

Yes but I do think that after they reunite, willow will have to face her issues alone and it won't be about magic but about accepting herself. I think knowing Tara loves her for just her will help her a lot.

I need help...is it going to happen to where Xander and Anya pay for trying to force Willow to do magic in OAFA? If so, is it going to be soon? Because that was SO not cool.

As wrongheaded as I think Anya and Xander were in that ep, I'm kinda doubtful we'll see any specific consequences from that. Anya especially was feeling tremendous pressure and freaked. They were wrong, but Willow held strong (with a little backup from Tara and Spike even) and in the end things worked out for the best. The only way I could see it coming back up is if there is a repeat performance- say a brokenhearted Xander or Anya or even Spike come to Willow and try to force her to do a spell (a la BBB or Lover's Walk). But I think that's kinda farfetched and been-there-done-that.

I do think Xander and Anya are about to find themselves in the white hot spotlight of angst, though.

Well, I guess it depends on what you call "the final eps." As I said, in Season 4 Willow and Tara faded into the background after NMR, which was Episode 19.

Given that Tara left Willow because of the magic addiction, and specifically because Willow had been using magic to mess with Tara's brain, I don't really see Tara feeling like it's safe to reunite with Willow until the magic addiction is dealt with convincingly. The addiction will never be defeated permanently, because that's how addictions go, but I think Willow can reach a level of dealing with it that makes Tara feel safe again, and Tara won't feel safe again until that happens. Thus the magic addiction and the reunion are pretty tied together.

Then there are two other factors which are more gut-feeling-related. First, I don't think there's enough time left in the season for them to wrap up the two Willow storylines (magic addiction & Tara breakup) independently. Second, the scene Dark Sheep Mysterioso gave us combined with the hint that we would really like the ending reminds me of NMR, where we get a scene with the girls dancing on the edge of coulple-hood at the beginning and become a couple officially at the end. It's close enough to a parallel that my brain won't let me ignore it.

I think it was Stephen Deknight who said Xander would get what was coming to him. I don't think what x/a demanded of Willow will come back in any concrete form, but I think Xander's general self involvement will come back to haunt him.

Assuming that Willow and Tara do get back together by the the Season 6 finale - as we're all hoping - what kind of storylines, arcs, character and couple developments do you want/think the couple to/should go through in season 7 so they don't fade to the background like X/A has done for two years.

Thanks for the clarification, Bob. I guess I just had a hard time envisioning an ep 20-22 that didn’t have Willow and her problem at the heart of it somehow. But maybe as Xita suggested, after they reunite we could see a scenario where Willow is dealing with her issues alone and it doesn’t directly involve Tara; that might also explain why Tara isn’t in all of the final shows, as has been indicated.

Mat – I think it’s impossible for Willow and Tara to fade into the background as Xander and Anya have done the last couple of seasons. The characters and the relationship are too compelling, and Joss & Co. love making them the poster children of angst. I have a feeling they’ll be as prominent in S7 as they were in S6. Here’s hoping.

I think somewhere between episodes 19-22, Willow will face one final challenge to her sobriety and it will in some way involve Amy, but I think she will stand strong, thus leading to a glorious reunification with Tara...That's what I'm hoping for...

I'm kind of dubious(is that the word I wanna use?) about episode title spoilers since "The Goat". If these are true than I bet Relapse is what Bob was talking about. It could be better than it looks. Maybe Relapse only means that Willow uses magic again, like she does a simple spell to save Tara or something. It doesn't necesarily mean that she falls in with the "Dark Magicks".

------------------
Willow: Say, you all didn't happen to do a bunch of drugs, did ya?

Tara: Horsies!
Willow: Don't hit the horsies!
Buffy: We won't! (to giles) Aim for the horsies.

"Relapse" has a multitude of possibilities. I mean, it could be Willow, but what about Spike and Buffy getting it on again? What about Anya becoming a vengence demon? All possibilities...

eh, sounds a little iffy to me. Even the person who wrote it says possible titles. We will know the title soon enough for sure. Thing that I'm most concerned with is how I'm going to wait until the end of April for 18...

Edioted to add: Relapse if it is the name could even mean Spuffy...

Yeah, well ya gotta figure that Willow is going to slip somewhere. The from Amy was just a taste to really worry Willow that she might be in real trouble if she does slip.
I would assume it would be relapse for both Willow and Spuffy.

But on a side note it does bode well for Amber being in at least 18, if not 19 episodes.
We are sure she is in 16,17,18.
Reports are she was on the set for 19, if 20 is a Willow relapse, she has got to be in that one. Also I just can't see her not being in the final 2.

Also you are correct Autumn, that big long wait, assuming the air dates are correct, is really going be painful.

I'd suspect that "Revengance" would be the episode most dealing with Anya reverting back to her vengance demon self (or her struggle not to).

Yes I agree with the speculation about revengeance and relapse, but may add that it is better to see a relapse in 20 than later. Remember the story is about growing up and dealing with that. I hate not knowing though, grrrrrr argh.

Okay, so maybe it is the fact that I've had a headache for 4 freakin' days talking, but if these titles are accurate than the worst case scenerio is (not counting the rumor which shall not be named): everything is going swell in 18, Tara isn't in 19, Will falls off the wagon in 20 and Tara gets upset and disappears for the rest of the season?

That would be 16 eps right?

*sigh*

I figure that if they have that one really big bump in the road toward the end of the season, it'll either bump them back together or bump them further apart and put off the reunion until next season.

Poor Will, she's been trying so hard. I hope she can catch a break. More than any of the others I think she's earned it.

Would it be unusual to not have a new ep on the 28th, which presumably would still be sweeps? I just can't help but notice this only gives us 3 new eps in May (April 30th wouldn't be part of the sweeps period, right?)

Anyway, I dunno, I'm kinda doubtful about these. We'll see soon enough I suppose.

Something strikes me as odd about this. The source KNOWS the name of the ep and yet the author is listed as unknown? My guess would be that whoever is writing that one is currently working on it, so the NAME of the writer - you would think - would be the FIRST thing to be leaked out.

MC,

I believe they are filming 19 now and Joss metioned seeing a draft of 21 so I imagine that 20 has been written and would probably start filming some time this next week or so. So I bet it has already been written.

It does seem kind of strange to not know who the writer is.

BTW, how's that smut coming?
