Hey Doc, got a bit of a problem.
I don't get emails for all the stories i'm subscribed to.

Example: And Baby Makes Three
also: Coulda. Woulda. Shoulda.
Also: Highgate Tunnels
apparnetly weeks go by and i don't get any notifications.
then out of the blue: poof there's an update.

and like an month's worth of stories.

makes me feel all out-of-the-loop-y.

And a sad kitten.

"Time Heals" and "highgate" were no updated since mid February, so I think we are good there.
"Coulda Wouda" and "Baby makes three" have been updated more recently,However ..
The board's software thinks you visited close enough to the previous updates it decided you didn't need the update (yeah, the Board can be a Bitca sometimes:))
So while you were indeed, denied updates, it was "legitimate" .
I can look into changing that mechanism to provide updates more often.

Yeah, i got on the board, but didn't check the updates, because i hadn't gotten an email.
I had no idea it was because i had visited the board.

Probably because there's a kitten page open on my work computer all the time.

For some reason. I'm unable to log in through Firefox. I get the "login confirmed, click here to be redirected" message, but when I'm redirected, or when I click to leave that page before redirection, I'm logged out. Everything works fine through Chrome, so I'm chalking it up to browser weirdness.

Try clearing the cookies, or using incognito mode. See what happens and let me know.

9 times out of 10, when I go to this site I get a message saying: "This Page Can't Be Displayed". What's wrong?

I got messages suggesting that the domain/website was closed for most of a week.

After it stopped, my browser still wouldn't let me log in, as listed above.

Clearing the cookies eventually fixed it.

From Brad our tech wizard re: the ad page -

On windows run ipconfig /flushdns from a command prompt
and from a mac run sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder.
It looks like that works.


Re: login page redirecting you back to index without logging you in, as Azirahael said, generally clearing your cookies and cache will solve this.

Oh boy. I'm getting the infamous ad page when I click into either author indexs (pens and finished fics), but only if I click from the index page and not from within the forum pages.
