It's Thanksgiving weekend MKF!

I hope everyone is having a nice thanksgiving...that most hallowed of holidays...
To commemorate an event by the ritual killing and eating of an animal..with pie.

This holiday is so good, I'm going to post about it twice today. I purposely avoid eating turkey for about three or four months before Thanksgiving just I can enjoy it that much more. And I live in Michigan now, so that first game of the day with the Lions actually almost means something to me now.

I'm just kidding - the Lions suck. Happy Thanksgiving!

I get so excited posting in the It's Just Thursday, MKF! thread (the very bestest of threads) and sometimes forget we have this thread, too. As I said, this is a weird year but there is still so much to be thankful for. I work from home full time now, so does mrs. gorn, and I'm thankful for the time I get to spend my family each and every day. I've never spent so much time with my wife & kids ... COVID is a terrible thing, but the time it's given me with them is a blessing. We have work, we're healthy, my family is good, mrs. gorn's family is good, and at least the four of us all together. How can I not be thankful?

One other thing to be thankful for - my brother in law & his wife are expecting their first child! This is fantastic news, as my wife's side of the family in Japan has no grandchildren except for our daughters, who pre-COVID they were lucky to at least see once a year. Now they'll have another one they can see all the time. And my brother in law is such a great guy, so good with kids, this is long overdue.

If you don't have Thanksgiving in your country and you're reading this, take a quick minute to be thankful for something in your life. We should all do this more often.

Macy's Day Parade? Check.
National Dog Show? Check.
Lions lost? Check ...
ms. gorn cooked another monster Thanksgiving dinner? Check.
I'm thankful. Maybe not for the Lions, but everything else in my life. ms. gorn's turkey was SO good.
