Broken Harbor by Tana French, Sunshine by Robin McKinley (for about the 8th time), Notes From the Underground by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde, a handful of Once Upon a Time Swan Queen fanfics, and EasierSaid's Neverland (I've made into 2010 now! it's only taken me 4 months or so to get this far).
I recently read The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, which was hilarious! I'll definitely be reading more by him soon.

"Lies my Teacher told me" - a more complex and challenging look at American History . . . . stunning. It's an eye opener and a brain-bender.

I'm reading my fancy new copy of George MacDonald Fraser's 'Flashman and the Redskins'... which takes the place of my old copy, which has finally reached the point where I think if I read it any more times it'll start falling apart. The Ceniza brothers might disagree but I get a kind of warm glowy feeling from a book that's worn and foxed and the spine's starting to give up, not from poor treatment but just from being read so many times. Provided there's a replacement handy of course.

Like I need to recommend it here, but Amber's latest 'The End of Magic' is really, really fabulous.

I've found the whole series to be a great read; fun, intriguing and really vivid (which is awesome for someone like me who has issues keeping up with stories sometimes). When I got to the last 1/3 of the book I kept thinking I knew where the ending was going but I was wrong every time and it left me stunned. I spent a while after pondering what it all really meant. It's been a while since a book series left me with such an impression.

For anyone who hasn't caught up on the other two, I would do so quickly and get this one as soon as you can. I'm going to go back and read from start to finish, and hopefully pick up on some things I missed first time around by reading year by year.

Re-reading The Gift of Fear. I realize, as an assault survivor, that re-reading the book reassures me that there are intelligent precautions and definite things to watch for but most of all to trust my gut on what feels right and what feels wrong. I seriously recommend the book to anyone concerned about their safety and about the safety of other women they love.

I read Curious Wine a couple times and loved it.

Just finished Harry Potter - the entire series and have been re-reading the last 150 pages or so of "HP & the Deathly Hallows" - what dramatic powerful writing . . . and still those brilliant touches of humor! I'm blown away by her plotting, re-incorporation. Fun AND Educational - how cool is that!

That's really good welldone. I keep a list online and I have been wanting to read do not become alarmed for a while. I'm currently reading sweet heart by Peter James.

Daughters of a Coral Dawn, Ten Little Aliens (a Doctor Who book), and a few fanfics. Daughters of a Coral Dawn is pretty fun - so many lesbians! -, Ten Little Aliens is kinda meh so far.

I've been told by numerous friends that Goodreads allows you to do much the same in terms of keeping track of books while also sharing recs and lists with friends, but as of yet I'm too stubborn to do so. The stars aren't aligned or whatever.

DNBA was good! I'm now trying to read Poisonwood Bible for the third time after getting stuck on page 65 and having to start anew.
