posting fiend...

Postby funkyasian » Wed Dec 11, 2002 8:28 pm

i'm a posting fiend!!

okay...so here's something i wrote up while i was supposedly learning about anti-harassment policy of my glorious company...yeah...didn't hear a whole heck of a lot...hope i don't have to ever call upon that knowledge :p

for my love...

*************************

torrents of emotion

tears of joy streamed down

the guard at last overpowered

your eyes shone with love

my heart filled

our souls finally complete

promises of forever

sealed with a kiss

**************************

oh yeah...and thanks to aimee for giving me "constructive criticism" :grin

Steph, my dearest, if you continue to post such wonderful work, I shall have to lay down my pen and retire. You have a fantastic talent. Never let anyone tell you differently.

Wow, lovely poem. The ending is very strong, "promises of forever/ sealed with a kiss". I love those lines.

Such wonderful words. The progression of each work seems to lead right into the next! And the ending for this one, so powerful.

*TheWhiz* - hey there...i'm glad you like both the dark and the light stuff...i like to explore both sides of the spectrum, and hopefully i've done an okay job at expressing myself.

*Drakkenfyre* - LAURA!!!! *hugs* i'm so glad you stopped by. as for retiring, there will be none of that talk :no ...i have so much to go before i can even dream of catching up with you :p - that's something i'm aspiring to...:pray love you...

*tiredsoul* - hey celia - so...no update for update? eh, oh well...it was worth a shot wasn't it? :p

*SquishyTrishy* - hello my sweets. you know it means the world to me when you actually stop by...and yes, i know you read all of this stuff before it gets posted...but...i like it when you stop by...:kiss - love you beautiful...

*ninjitsugrrl* - hey there...good to see you again. the last two lines are probably my favorite too...kinda makes me want to breathe a sigh of contentment.

well lovely readers, that's all the replies for now...*whew* - can i just mention that i've had to type the same stuff over a few times 'cause i'm retarded and would keep clicking on links that come up in IM windows...which then changes this window...thus losing all the replies i worked so hard on!!:stink

but i triumphed in the end!!:party okay...a new poem soon...just have to work out a few wording issues and it should be posted either tonight or early tomorrow morning. thanks again all...

and look at me double postin!!

Postby funkyasian » Mon Dec 16, 2002 9:16 pm

Good evening all...thought i'd liven up a dreary monday evening with a poem...btw...if anyone has any doubt, ALL POETRY POSTED ON THIS THREAD ARE REGARDING WILLOW AND TARA AND THEIR LOVE - just in case anyone didn't catch the memo...

and on with the show...

************************

I’ve drowned a thousand times

Your oceans of blue

Engulfing me

A willing captive

Bonded to a heart so gentle

Forgiving my trespasses

Drawing me into your sanctuary

Boundless love

Passes

Infused

In a kiss of heated passion

My prayer answered

My absolution

*************************

i think it's a bit rough around the edges still...but hey...i've been working on SMS all night and my brain has turned to mush :yawn ...so this will have to do...hope you all like it!!

Steph - Quite the poem you have there. It's very powerful both in its imagery and emotion. Something about that "willing captive" line that sticks in my head. Losing yourself, only to have someone else discover you.

Really, the whole poem is simply lovely. I especially liked this bit, "Forgiving my trespasses/Drawing me into your sanctuary/Boundless love..." :) Well done!

Nope, I didn't get the memo seeing as you had not mentioned Willow and Tara before in this thread, though it should of course be a given that all poetry should be about Willow and Tara on a WillowTara board. It does not go without saying however, so the big yellow fonts are most welcome. Thanks. :)

Um....Hi!:wave I just thought I would tell you I love your poetry!!! Please keep posting. I have been a poetry lover for years and am always amazed at the creativity of writers on this board. I find that poetry is like using a "punching bag" for your emotions. You write, you fight, you get them out. All is good, no worries. Hope to see more from you soon.:pray

Perhaps with your encouragement I might be willing to post some of my own stuff...okay scarednow...:baby

it's monday again...

Postby funkyasian » Mon Dec 23, 2002 9:57 pm

it seems that monday is the day that i decide to say my hellos :wave , and give my thank you's :wink ...and if i feel the mood strike me, i just might have a poem to post after all this :grin

*ExtraFlameyWT* - hola aimlet...and once again, you're first...and once again i thank you for your "wow". you really flatter me too much you know...my head will grow to this abnormal size and it'd be all your fault...:blush but of course i'm not saying stop with the compliments!! :p

*barnabasvamp* - hi bv - i'm a firm believer that religion exist not in the traditional form but within ourselves, so to me, it's only natural that when together with your soul mate, you will find absolution...i'm so glad you like it...

*The Pineapple Head* - hey diana...don't all of us experience that at some point? feeling as if we're so lost, only to be found...and so willingly surrender our heart and soul to another...in any case...at the risk of sounding formal, i'm glad you stopped by...

*SquishyTrishy* - hi my love...i figured you would like this one...:heart love you...

*ninjitsugrrl* - *makes a sweeping bow* - thank you for your affirmation...it's always nice to know my work is appreciated...:bounce

*DrG* - hey there...i'm glad the memo went through then and you've received it...at least that's one thing that's working for me...

*TheWhiz* - hola! thank you for your compliments...i really like the beginning lines too...eyes to me are one of the most attractive features...and to be able to lose yourself in your lover's eyes...i think is pure heaven...thanks for stopping by!

*tanniyn* - :bounce woohoo!!:bounce a new face!! it's always nice to have a new face amongst my supporters. i'm glad you like my poems...and you're right, writing is an outlet, a way to let off steam. anyway...i can't wait to see some of your stuff...new poets are always exciting (yeah, listen to me, like i'm such an old timer:laugh )

*SquishyTrishy* - hi baby girl again...well, i think the whole point was to have it scream w&t - ya think it worked?? :lol

wow...so that's it...thank you all again for your support and incredibly kind words...it's the people who make up this board that makes coming back and sharing what i write and how i feel worth while...

Postby funkyasian » Tue Dec 24, 2002 9:14 am

:confused well, color me confused...a curious thing happened...i thought i posted this poem last night...but maybe a slip of my finger (or brain or whatever) made it disappear...*shrug* so here we go again...

disclaimer: well, yes it's about w/t...quick look at the love they make...:heart

************************

Slowly stroking

Your skin burning

Setting me aflame

Scent of arousal

Taste of sweetness

Soaking

Assaulting

My senses reeling

Your love flowing

Sweet lava

Velvet softness grasp me

You become my world

My universe

Eternity starts now

Forever is this moment

*************************

hope you like...and hope i don't do anything stupid to make it disappear again...:blush

disclaimer: i never liked the idea of the candle being blown out after the end of NMR, great for an ending of an episode, not so good for the whole romantic lighting thing while you're...doing whatever...so, i've resurrected the candle...

***********************

Soft glow

Ethereal light

Sheen of sweat

Reflecting

Entwined bodies

Soft breaths

Whispers of love

Promises of atonement

In a darkened room

The candle burned on the windowsill

Lighting the path to forever

hope you all have a great upcoming weekend...just wanted to add an end note to my girl...happy anniversary my love, you are my forever...:love

Steph - Well you're not the only one that's confused, because I could have sworn that I responded to your previous poem. Oh well, must be the tragic forgetfulness of youth. At any rate, by now you have to know just how talented you are and that I simply adore reading your work.
