Eclipse is the only thing keeping me sane ;) !

I have a new poem which will be here soon - just waiting til Laura's back (you know how I won't post any new poems before she's given me the seal of approval!)

Glad to see your exams haven't driven you to insanity yet! ;)

WILLOW: Where would you go? If you felt lost
and alone? Where would you go?

TARA: To you.

Poem

Okay, Sweetie! I am back. A little woozy but I am here. So let's see that poem. *rubs hands together gleefully* I just can't wait. :) :bounce :bounce :bounce Have to do the bouncing here, can't exactly do it myself.

"In my world there are people in chains and we ride them like ponies."

I'll bounce for you :)

Here's the new one then. And yes, shock horror, it's happy! I think it could be from either Tara or Willow's point of view (obviously pre-Seeing Red!). Enjoy!

***************************************************

My Home

How many ways can I say I love you?

You are my day, my night,

My home, my heart,

I know I am safe with you,

Wrapped in your arms,

They will never tear us apart,

I’ll die for you, over and over,

Sacrifice everything I have for you,

To know I could keep you just a little longer,

To know you will still be mine,

To know you will always be there when I come back,

The stars shine for you,

And glisten on your hair,

Your skin as soft as the blossom in spring,

I capture in my heart,

If I am ever lost I turn and you are there,

If I’m ever scared, you are behind me,

If I cannot go on, you take my hand and lead me,

Without you, I am nothing,

A shell, a half person,

You are my always and my everything,

Thank-you for being my best friend, my lover, my life.

Wow, I have just been reading all of your recent poems. I especially like "Home". I really like the lines, "Your skin as soft as the blossom in spring,/ I capture in my heart,". Beautiful wording!

Another beautiful poem, you are on a roll!! :grin

I loved the words & the emotions captured. I agree it could be from either Tara or Willow's view- I think it totally sums up the way they both feel about each other. :)

More poems, more!!!!!!!

ninjitsugrrl: glad you like them! And the ironic thing, "Your skin as soft as the blossom in spring,/ I capture in my heart" were the lines I added last minute because I thought the starlight bit seemed a bit random otherwise! You have to thank Laura for 'My Home' - She made me hyper, ok, ok, so I was hyper before that, but she encouraged it!

TheWhiz: Would that be a salad or a cheese roll??!!! Got to keep my figure trim you know! This is good, you're asking me for more poems - don't you think you should write one now!

Hey Babe, You already know how I feel about this poem. Thanks for the sneak preview. It is wonderful!!! I had nothing to do with your hyperness!! I was just along for the ride. And what a ride it was ;)

Hey Babe, you know I love this one. I find it to be most beautiful and telling. I love the use of the portrait especially. Beautiful *sigh* just beautiful. Now where is that damn little martian???

A really powerful metaphor you have chosen. The opening lines really grabbed me, "My pencil scratches at the paper,/ A life only sketched in charcoal". You captured the feelings of emptiness quite well.

I really like the impression you've given of waste. Art is meant to be finished to be fully appreciated. You've shown how wasteful it is to have Tara's life cut short in such a brutal fashion.

Well done!

Aw shucks, thanks! Guess you liked it then! :)

Drakkenfyre: Thanks, it helps to know a poem's not going to embarrass itself on this board with all of the amazing talent that already exists on this board :) You seen the martian??

ninjitsugrrl: They were my favourite lines, I sat for a long time with only those on the page and nothing more :) Guessed I needed a few more lines to make anything worth reading!

mollyig: I hadn't even though about waste! It sorta just came to me and I wrote it down. Thanks for making me realise what I'd actually been writing about :grin

Laura - thank-you SO much! You know what for!

*****************************************

I’m falling,

I can’t get a grip,

Will anyone be there to catch me?

Now I am not so sure,

I was before,

But now all of that is gone,

Stolen from me whilst my eyes were shut.

No one to trust,

I turn facing a wall,

As they close in,

I fall to the ground and give in,

Let them take me,

What do I care.

I like this poem a lot. The first three lines are very striking. I like the contrast you set up between death and the images of childhood. Wonderfully done!

It is good to see someone posting some new poetry. The regular poets haven't been around much lately. I'm not complaining - I know a lot of people have been busy or otherwise occupied, myself included. But, I was happy to see a poem from you.

You've captured the feeling of wanting to return to childhood, when life was simple and hopeful, very well.

Aw thanks guys :blush , it means a lot that people stop by and leave me comments.

(And the childhood idea I kinda cribbed from Laura :blush ....it's ok though, she knows!)

Hopefully I'll be doing a lot more posting again now...if only I could get hold of that darn muse of mine, keeps running away! ;)

Thanks to all whole stop by here, whether you post or not, it's good to see you here 8o
