Hi all,

It must be something in the air - finding old poetry to post. I found a few poems when I started to write up my new fic. Bizarrely enough, I wrote this when I was asleep

Did I tell you that I love you?

I can’t remember,

There wasn’t a time,

You were not by my side,

That I felt whole.

My compliment,

The missing piece of my jigsaw puzzle,

The full stop of my sentence,

The beginning of my day,

And the waking of my night.

All I have is yours,

Without you I am lost,

A nothing,

I do not think when you are near,

Only feel, and love, and share.

That reminds me of what Tara said about every day should end with the two together, and start like that too.

Thanks for the feedback, I do have another poem to post along similar lines, although I thought I'd leave it a day or two before I post it - too much soppiness in this thread is never good

I really like the new poem. I was quite struck by the line "I do not think when you are near". It's a simple line but it really hit me over the head for some reason. Great job!

I've been call many a name, but Celia is fine. Of course I stuck around. I checked often for the new poem and I'll check often again. I love poetry, probably because I can't write it well. I'm usually in awe of others who can do it.



Asleep, huh? Must be some interesting dreamscapes you have there. If I dreamt about what I write . . .

The predominant feeling I got when reading was one of intimacy, really well captured!



This line I thought was especially powerful - Then tears choke in my throat,

What do I dream about? Hmm. That's a loaded question if ever I heard one. The first poem in the thread, "Twenty," that would perfectly describe my more tame unconscious realities. Scary, huh?

I thought this poem was beautiful and extremely well written, you managed to convey so many emotions in your words, I liked the lines 'You taught me to love, And for that I am grateful' A wow, wouldn't go amiss here!!

Celia/tiredsoul - which do you prefer?? sorry the new one wasn't up, but I did write a poem at the Notre Dam, it needs redrafting before it's posted, but I don't really want to re-do it, since I'm not still there, and yes I know, wierd much?! Bet you could write poetry - you should try (if you write it half as well as you write fic, it will be great). As for dreams, so remind me never to sneak into one if yours!
