well, i've got The Sims: Vacation. Tonight, Willow and Tara will take their first vacation, along with their son. I've been trying desperately (i.e. extended time in the hot tub and the love bed) to get them to have another kid. At first I wanted a daughter, but now I just want a kid, boy or girl. Their son needs aplaymate! (I lost my original W/T family when we got the new computer and so they no longer have the original 2 kids I'd been playing with). Anyone know any baby cheats??

So does that mean that your sims must have children in order to fully enjoy Sims Vacation? That sucks, I was having fun with evil Willow and evil Tara, I wanted them to go to the ski resort and wreck havoc.

Yeah, things got a little crowded at the campground. Kids and adults all over, and people wanting to talk to Willow and Tara. They had a hard time slipping off into the woods for some necking. The water balloon fight was kinda cute.

Maybe I’ll try to post some pics over the weekend. The girls are going to the winter wonderland next. Something about a Yeti and an igloo for rent. Or maybe it’ll be enough just to see Tara on a snowboard.

Obviously, I'm like months late getting into this thread and the sims and everything. And, I will also admit laziness becuase I don't have the time to go through all 29 pages of this thread--but, a few questions:

1)Is there anyway someone would be willing to email me some of their cooler stuff--skins and objects, mostly?

2)Is there a trick to getting more money that the rosebud trick because it doesn't work for me on HD?

3)How can I find out what is causing my game to crash when I'm creating a character? I have already used sims file cop..

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem. Since loading Hot Date onto my computer (no other expansion packs on there), my computer has been acting all wonky. I never had a problem with it freezing up or having to restart it. Now I am always having to reboot. I tried reinstalling the orignal and the expansion pack...but the problems persist. Anyone else having any problems like this?

HD didn't really cause many problems for me, but it did crash when i was making male characters in the character edit. it's not a big deal because i rarely if ever make male characters. if you're having problems, i'd contact maxis' technical support.

re: good items to get for your sims, i think i still have the files for the extra flamey candle if anyone needs them. the site is now defunct.



tara and willow went on a winter trip and the yeti hugged the junk out of them. they tried to get in the hot tub but before will could get in, some gross man got in too. luckily, tara hopped right out. tara's an excellent snowboarder, but willow just fell on her ass about 5 times in a row.



lots of fun. my main concern is that i can't get them to have another kid. they're kissing and playing in the hot tub like mad, but it doesn't seem to be working out for them.

I think I do! That was when you put the Sims in the pool, then deleted all the ladders. They swam around until they wore themselves out and then drowned. Right?

Yes, Sims players are very creative – even with death.

Well, the girls had a lot of fun on their winter wonderland vacation. They enjoyed the lodge and all the snow-related activities, and they even proved to be very good snowboarders. Here are some pics from their Vacation photo album:

taramaclay: About Windows2000, the game FAQ (which is on the previous page of this thread) says that Vacation doesn't officially work with that OS, but I take that to mean that it probably will, but EA won't take responsibility if it makes your system crash. I think some kitties are using the Sims with Win2000.

Oh hon, the bear skin rug did do it for me , which is why I was asking for more, please. People used to post their pics on a regular basis, and that is what I miss. I am not playing the game (livin the sims lifestyle) any longer, which is why I miss seeing them.

ok, 'nuff introductions. Here's the deal: I downloaded a love bed from simsresource (excellent site by the way) but it seems I don't have the animation for the play in bed action. This basically means that my daily dose of w/t goodness is the two of them looking around with a "missing animation" bubble above their heads. If I wanted to see people standing around doing nothing, I'd work for the government.

This is where you come in. I want YOU (or someone else) to design an animation for the play in bed feature. Be as explicit as you want. I'd reccomend using the program simpose (available at simpose.com) but however you create it is up to you. I'll have the rules and the prizes posted later.

I tried the same thing with the love bed...and I was very disappointed. Granted we got the laughing and growling...but I wanted to see the animation. I know you kitties will think of something very very nice...



I had to reboot my sims game...so I had to start over all my families. And I had Willow and Tara going so well before. We will see how long it takes to get back to that point now.

i'm trying to make my willow and tara have a third baby. they're refusing pretty steadily, despite marathon sessions in the love tub and the love bed. their two kids, Gareth and Franka, are doing great. both have A+ 's in school. i'll go look for some pics now to upload, i've got some crazy ones.

Lizbian: Simpose looks really cool. I didn't realize you could create your own animations. I wish I had the time to play with it. I've always wanted to recreate the love scene from OMWF in my Sims, but the game isn't really oral-sex friendly.

Scout: the bed's out on the lawn because i really really hate that bed. however, it was useful when they were trying for the 2nd baby. so i just stuck it on the lawn, used it once or twice, and sold it back. this was all at the old house. they moved into the new, nicely landscaped home a few weeks ago.

I recently bought Vacation for my Sims and it was working fine until today. I've got it running on ME. Right now, it starts up and it's loading all the little things, Reticulating splines, doing the exchange rate thingy, and then it just shuts down and I go back to my desktop.



Has anyone else have this prob? I'd hate to have to reinstall everything and lose my families.

As for new piccys, I had plans to put some up Friday night, but then I became very ill Thursday night and now it's looking like Sunday might be the soonest I can get some new Vacation photos up. So hold tight.

Willow and Tara and their two kids, Gareth and Franka, got a little antsy today so I took them on a vacation to the winter carnival. They all slept in an igloo, took several showers, and ate nothing but burgers and hot dogs. Willow rented a metal detector and found an old boot, which she promptly placed on the shelf at home "remembers" from time to time. Now that everyone's back at home, I'm planning a trip to the beach or the forest once funds are up a little bit high. (I'm trying not to cheat so much.) Here are some photos from the winter vacation.





Tara snowboards. Seems like we all have Tara snowboarding! Willow stinks at it, she's always falling down. Tara's awesome at it though!





Tara and Franka (she's the little girl just to the left of Tara) play a carnival game. You only win 8 or 9 tickets each time you play for $5 or $6, which sucks. Franka and Tara each got 72 tickets eventually and traded them in for coconut monkeys.





Willow checks out the Tour Director's butt after everyone (including Tara) has gone to the igloo to sleep. My Willow's a big flirt. My roomie built a night club downtown and she's usually there trying to get with the ladies, much to my chagrin. Oh well.

And for a creature that usually hides, the abominalble snowperson (yeti to his friends) seems to be everywhere.



As for flirty Willow. I know what you mean. When I was playing Willow had the hardest time keeping her hands to herself. Tara got into quite a few bitch slapping events over it.
