Willow/Tara Drawing(s) & other WT stuff

Postby urnofosiris » Thu Jun 20, 2002 8:32 am

*Edit, damn that freaky preview option, grrr, ok, I changed the link as I will be messing with my homepage. It is now a geocities link which means that anyone who feels the irresistable urge to view this has to either right click and copy and paste the link into their brower's address bar or left click the link, hold it and drag it into the address bar.

Okay I finally finished a WT drawing, I have been hinting at it often enough, but now the grand moment has arrived. You may all rejoice. I give you:

Accidental tongue slippage.

Or more poetically, as it says on the back:

Above all else it is love,

Truly and Forever.

Hum yeah, so remember, if you don't have anything nice to say, do it anyway.

Edit: Fixed the links and if I ever have the time to make another wallpaper or drawing I will edit it into this first post as well.

Extra Flamey WT Smooch.

Oh, Garfield, that's beautiful. You got Tara's hair and nose just right (I love her nose) and Willow's beautiful neck and jawline. Very nice!

We need more of these. Put up more! :grin

Oh who knows Scout, I must say that drawing humans is so very difficult, I'd like to do one in color, but I gotta learn to walk first before I can run.

So, what do we need to offer you to get more drawings? Eh?

Ah Garfield, I do remember how lovingly you drew that picture for Amber and how much she appreciated. How I wish you'd been able to give her this one as well. ;)

You're very talented, you know. This has such wonderful presence as a drawing, the softness of those lines and yet the perfect shapes of their figures. The hair I particularly liked; it seemed to have a depth in it.

Please for the love of God, do some more. :)

Suggestions For the Drawing

Postby LadyLily » Thu Jun 20, 2002 6:51 pm

I looked at your drawing twice DrG, once when I was in a hurry and now when I have a lot of time on my hands. But I have one suggestion for you: tinker with it in Photoshop.

I hope I haven't offended you but I downloaded the image onto my computer and opened it in my version of Photoshop. I've tinkered with the effects of the image, and I've come up with some magnificent images from the original. Make no mistake: I have not altered the image in any way! All I did was add effects like watercolor and charcoal and chalk, this just alters the apperance so it looks like it was done in watercolor or chalk/charcoal.

I hope I haven't broken any rules or hurt your feelings DrG, I just thought it would look cool. If you'd like to see the outcomes of it I can show you.

Hey, just a suggestion. :)

Ah Ginner, you're so forceful, that reminds me of the good old days. ;)

Hey there Lily, no offense, anyone is free to do with that pic as they please, for their own use I mean, heh. I have thought about using photoshop, but I think of it as two different types of -hum- art. I rather reserve that for actual caps to make wallpapers of. But who knows, I might do it anyway, see what it looks like in color, however I wanted to show this as it is for a reason which I shall not divulge in order to keep an air of mystery about me. :grin

Thanks everyone for the nice comments :)

*edit: Lily, maybe you could email them to me? I am curious and don't have time to tinker myself now.

Re: A Willow/Tara Drawing

Postby urnofosiris » Fri Jun 21, 2002 12:41 am

Ah ok yes, I would like to. Unfortunately I am not so capable that I can draw them from memory and make them look like Willow and Tara. This is the first drawing of actual people I actually finished. In fact this is my first drawing that I did since the one I did right before Nocturnal last year. I am not very productive. Busy busy. But I would like to try and make one that is not 'just' a drawing of an existing cap (btw thanks to Adrienne for giving me the cap I used for this one :) ). I'd like to use different pics and combine them into a scene of their own. Hmm how about that tasteful showerscene? And I do mean tasteful. :p

Ahem, well patience, I'll try again when I have time.

That drawing was fantastic! I set it as my wallpaper as well. I try and draw them, but I can never draw Amber's nose or Aly's eyes. You've captured them perfectly.

*Gem grins happily and minimises to stare at the picture once more. Still giggling at Ginner WTluv's response. (Keep stroking that pencil... keep your filthy minds out of the gutter!)*
